Daisy & Poppy

Hi! Here are 2 pics of 2 of my kitties. They are both tabbies(Maine Coon Cats). Daisy was our 1st tabby & she was sadly killed by coyotes when she ran outside by accident. Poppy the glowing-eyed belly-up kitty was the cat we adopted after Daisy's passing. We love our flower kitties very much!! Hope you like the pics. -Yvonne Van B./Apple Valley, CA

Good morning! Yvonne - I'm so sorry to hear about Daisy. I can't imagine how awful that must've been to lose her to coyotes! She looks like she liked to be right in the middle of whatever you were doing! What was she helping you sew? What a sweet furrbaby Poppy looks to be as well! Does she like belly rubs?

Make sure you visit tomorrow as there will be a handsome Maine Coon that we Fuzzes have been wanting and waiting to see!!! Don't get any ideas Poppy, he already has a girlfriend! :)

I'm sorry to hear about Daisy and your tragic loss but I know that Poppy must be a comfort to you and I certainly love their names. Such beautiful cats.

I'm so sorry that you lost Daisy. But she is up in Kitty Heaven waiting for you. Poppy is beautiful. Main Coons are such wonderful cats. Thank you for sharing.

Danielle - How's Jakey this morning?! So great that he's eating more...even if you have to feed it to him!

danielle said...

Jake is doing good. I left a jar out for him. I hope he will eat all of it on his own. That would be a big improvement. Instead of me forcing a whole jar. I bought new food. The texture of the original was real liquidy and the ones I bought are not as liquidy. I won't go so far as to say solid though.

Good Morning Fuzz Family!!!!

How are all the other babies?
Missy Blue Eyes?
Amber?
George?
Cleo?
and Bryan?

Yvonne, I'm sorry about Daisy. That is a very sad way to lose a fuzz baby. Like Mannyed said, that she would be thrilled that you adopted a fellow maine coon is true.

Does Poppy like belly rubs?

Good Morning FuZZ Friends!

Yvonne, I'm so very sorry about Daisy...As the Rainbow Bridge Poem says, all our furrbabies are made healthy and happy, and they wait patiently...Poppy does look very comfortable!! That's MY favorite position! Thank you for sharing your babies with us!

I have a site on my favorites list called Alley Cay Allies (alleycat.org) I looked up a connection in the Miami area for Feral Cat rescues and there's 2, I think, but the one I clicked onto was The Cat Network, an e-mail address of info@thecatnetwork.org
and a voicemail phone number of 305-255-3482.
If you visit the site, you'll see one of the brettiest featured adoptees available, and a rescue they did from a hoarder who had over 100 cats, mostly Siamese...awesome pics...
I can feel for Rita and Bryan regarding the $$$$ issue over medical attention...he's in construction, right? He needs that arm taken care of properly. I don't know how things are in Florida, but in NJ, if anyone goes to a clinic or hospital for treatment, you can ask to speak to a Social Worker. They have sources to possibly make the bills bearable, minimal or maybe non-existant. Most Docs do some sliding scale, pro-bono work...a Social Worker can access these resources...GS & Bryan - bless you guys! God knows how special the 2 of you are...he saves his best challenges for the best!

Ciao for now...(have a Dr's visit myself...)

Yvonne, What sweet babies you have. As I know that Daisy is still in your heart. Poppy looks so cuddly and asking for a belly rub.

Happy Birthday Katnippia and Snowy!! A special day as you share birthdays.

Amber seems to be showing more energy lately. She is such a lover doggy.

Happy Birthday Katnippia!

I'm so sorry about Daisy. It's good you were able to give poppy a home though. She looks like such a sweetie, I'd love to reach through the screen and give her a good belly rub!

Do any of you have "attitude problems" with you kitties? Ella seems to be getting really pushy lately, especially when it comes to going outside. I usually let her come out on the porch with me when I sit outside, and now everytime someone goes to the door, she comes wanting to go outside. Anyway this weekend she was following me to the door, and I wasn't going to sit on the porch right then so I told her she couldn't go out then and started shooing her away from the door, well I guess she wasn't going to take no for an answer, so she tries to attack my foot! She seems to snap a lot when she doesn't get her way. I guess cats can be bratty sometimes too.

Yes, Lisa, they certainly can. I guess that is what people call cattitude. My Emma, who has been an indoor cat since we adopted her a few years ago, is suddenly trying to sneak out herself having never shown an interest before but we don't want her to unless she is on a leash and that is something she won't even try, so we are having a standoff about that. She just gets to sit in the window by the screen instead but she isn't happy about it. Oh well.

Happy B-day, Katnippia and Snowy! Hope you have a great day! It's raining here, yuck! But my flowers need it, so...

danielle said...

There is a trivia quesion that needs answering. www.stupidtrivia.blogspot.com

Kat not to rub it in or anything but it is 70 something here and sunny. I think it is going to rain in a couple days though. We have had a lot of rain lately.

Everyone, GS needs some fuzz support at PDJ! And my youngest furrbaby is posted too!

Emma's Kat said...

Uhh, Loa, where is your daughter!? I'm realizing she has been MIA for the last couple of days!

Anonymous said...

hello, I am here....both babies are cute, sorry to hear about Daisy...rub that belly for me.

Lynn said...

Thanks Claire, GS. Nice to know my cat isn't the only one with "cattitude". I just worry sometimes cause both Ella and my other kitty shadow who passed both had a bit of a bad attitude, and refuse to be lap cats, and it makes me wonder sometimes if it has something to do with me. I wasn't always the best mom to my pets, but am better now since I've been meeting people like you guys here and learning the proper way to care for pets. Oh well I still love my Ella regardless. I'm actually changing my blog to a blog about her. I'm trying to get some new pictures of her to post to it. That is why my name is different now.

Good site, Lisa! So far so good! Look forward to hearing what Ella has to say! Remind everyone about your site in the next few days!

HAPPY PURRTHDAY, KATNIPPIA!! and Snowy!! Purrs and nose kisses from Flumpy and Meepsie!

Yvonne, your "flowers" are both beauties. I feel sure that Daisy is smiling because Poppy is with you. My dear Teddy(a 6lb. Himi) came to the same sort of Bad End; it's a hell of a shock. I'm glad to see that Daisy "helped" you with your sewing. It's so much fun to cut something out with a cat between the pattern and the fabric! I used to have to keep the squirt bottle handy!

Did anyone go to Oreo's Birthday Party? It was amazing! He had a swimming pool, complete with an abloging(I can't spell today) woofie giving rides; a trampoline, a playpen just for the woofies, a huge refreshment and dancing tent, and even a place for the humans to hang out! Oh, and lots of blankies and beds for the nap piles!! It's all at boogieheadoreo.blogspot.com.

Kat, I love your Benji--BIG soft spot for big yellow cats!!

Back to work for me--I'm trying to get this place whomped into shape since I'm off to Tucson on Friday!! (yeah! very quietly-Paul is NOT happy)

Emma's Kat said...

I too saw Oreo's b-day happenings. Sent him a birthday wish the day before his party, but missed the actual party! I happened to see his link on Danielle's site.

Kathleen - I'm with Karen. We hope all is well. We haven't heard from you and are hoping all is well! Hope you get my email!
