Foxx

Hello! Just wanted to submit my cat for feature on the Kat of the Day...he actually needs to be on there for 6-6-06 as he is truly the evilest thing ever. I can not begin to tell you all of the crazy stunts that Foxx has pulled over the past year. He loves his laser light chases, thinks the bathtub faucets are a play toy especially made for the three am hour. He also loves his new little brother Sinatra...but only when he has Sinatra pinned down on the ground and begging for mercy. -Chrissy R.

For some reason, the look on Foxx's face makes me smile. Perhaps that is because it is the look I would get right before I would "torture" my little sister. Tomorrow is her birthday, 43, I am 46 and I still love to "torture" her. Love this Foxx. Give my sympathies to Sinatra -- my little sister can relate. :) (hey and give Foxx a break -- he is just having a little fun -- insert evil laughter here!

These two are really cute. I like the evil kitties. They are a lot of fun. He looks a lot like our old cat who is at the rainbow bridge. She could be evil also. He looks like a blast.

Deb happy birthday (early) to your sister.

Good morning Fuzz Family.

Danielle, thanks ... I'll tell her! Just wanted to let everyone know that Marigold is recovering nicely from her "tummy" problem. She and Brutus are currently running around wrestling each other.

danielle said...

I did not hear about the tummy issue. What happened is she ok? Nothing serious I hope.

OH great news when I got home yesterday Jake ate 1 and 1/2 jars all by himself and he was really into it. I did heat it up a little. He actually was really excited to eat.

The pic on the right is too funny...I can hear him laughing. He may be evil, but he is cute...Sinatra is a cutie too.

Foxx does look somewhat evil-maybe he is having a bad day. Hope little Sinatra can learn to defend himself-does Sinatra have blue eyes? Foxx is still a handsome boy.

love your lil devil. I think he would be good friends with my Manny!

Oh, my goodness-Foxx's evil look is JUST like the look on my brother's face when he was about to torture me!! He's 55 and a grandfather now, and he will STILL torture me(verbally, at least) even now. Sinatra is a little cutie--if he gets big, Foxx may be in for some pay-back down the road.

GOOD MORNING FUZZ PACK!!

HOORAY FOR JAKE!! I'm so glad he's eating and pooping. And I'm happy that Marigold is feeling better. DANIELLE, read yesterday's post from Deb for all the details.

Since Blogger ate my post yesterday, I never had a chance to say that TOBY is absolutely GORGEOUS!! Now, if he would just quit playing squash-pie on his smaller sister!! I love the Gheeri eyes peeking out from under him!

DONNA-welcome home, glad you had a good trip. We are all looking forward to the pictures!

This morning I got an email from ML and I asked if she minded that I comment, but I haven't heard back. And I know she won't mind, so...Yesterday she took Bear to the vet as he had started coughing. The vet said it was Bear's heart. He is on meds to make him comfortable and help w/his breathing. So, remember Bear and ML today. She is devestated! Bear is 16 yrs. old and they have been thru a lot together. So, ML if you get on today, you know I'm thinking about you!!

Danielle - Yeah Jakey! That's so awesome that he's eating on his own! Keep it up Jake!

Deb - So glad Marigold is feeling better as well!

Good Morning Evryone!!!!

Foxx you are a very handsome lil devil. Sinatra you are a lil cutie to. Foxx reminds me of Pounce on a bad day, hehe Don't tell her i said that.

Hi Fuzz Pack,
First of all, Foxx is about the coolest cat ever. Don't you love that gleeful look in his eyes. He is a very handsome cat as well. I couldn't figure out what the photo on the left was all about until I clicked on it. That is a precious, great shot. Just the look on Foxx's face and the posturing of Sinatra...love it!

I am so relieved and glad to hear about Mr. Jake slurping down baby food. And pooping. Way to go. And likewise for the petite Little Miss Marigold. Sounds like she is getting bigger. Pictures, please!

Thanks Kat, for posting about Bear. I liked your email about going with your "gut", rather than your heart. Or even your brain. My brain says she is 16 years, 4 months old, so she has had a long and happy life. But my heart is breaking.

They didn't catch this in the regular exams. She has had a cough for about a month. Her last checkup was fine, very healthy. Since the cough is getting worse, the vet asked if she could do an xray and we agreed. That showed the enlarged heart, pressing on her trachea (sp?), causing the cough. It is not reversible. She gave me all the graphic details about what will happen at some point. Bear is healthy enough to start on meds, although the breathing medication makes her hyper (NOT A GOOD THING!), she is already one radical dog. It's just hard to accept that she's gotten so old. Sigh.

To Bear - First of all...I am so sorry I called you a HE!! SORRY, Bear! And, we are all thinking about you girl! You just take it easy, not too much running around! ML, Have you sent a pic to Rita yet? I was just thinking about Bear last week or so, and thinking...we haven't seen her yet!

Morning everyone.

Hi Foxx (and Sinatra)!

So adorable, both of them.

I'm not sure how long it will take for me to catch up with everything after our trip, both at work and at home.

Thanks everyone, for the welcome backs. If we could have figured out how to "dehydrate" our kitties, get them over to us, then just add water and "rehydrate"...we would have stayed longer! We loved Iceland especially. Hee, hee. But it's so good to be back home with them.

Healing thoughts to all those in need--both 4 fuzzy legged and 2 legged.

This weekend, I'm going to try and get some photos from our trip up onto ironcats.

ML, sorry to hear about Bear but hopefully the medication will make her feel better soon. I have severe asthma so I know it has been rough for her with breathing problems. Just listen to your vet and do what is best for Bear. Hugs to you both.

ML -- I'm so sorry about Bear. I fell in love with her the moment I saw her! Please give her kisses from me. If there is anything I can do, just give me a call. How is Missy doing?

Jake -- I'm so glad to hear that you are feeling better.

As for new pics of the babies, my daughters took my camera to her Grandma's house -- they are there until Friday -- then I can send more pics!

Take care everyone. Spats is sitting in my lap and sends Meows to Bear, Jake, Missy and all the Fuzz Family!

prayers for bear and jakey. and for all the fuzz pack and family.

First off, Foxx you devil you. Your look says it all. Bet you are a lot of fun to watch though. Be good to Sinatra, he is a cutie too.

Oh Mary Lynn I know what you are going through right now. You didn't tell me anything last night through our e-mails, probably the same reason I didn't tell you about Amber. Fianlly got the results from the urine speciman and it ruled out infection, and kidney problems as there were no crystals in it. It is suspected that she has bladder cancer. She is about the same age as Bear and I honestly don't know which way to go. The have experimental drugs for dogs with that condition. With her age would it better to put her down or fight??? I don't want her to suffer. Gotta go.

So sorry, got over my crying jag.

GS. So glad that Bryan came out of surgery O.K. Prayers that it will heal in no time. Sure hope your new home will be much happier for you.

Danielle, so glad to hear Jake is coming along real good. Prayers that he continues his upgrade progress.

Monica,
I hope all the best for you. You will be in our prayers. We will be thinking of you.

Hi, just got back, it's been a crazy day.
Am so sorry to hear about Amber. What a terrible coincidence. I couldn't really "talk" about it when I found out, did email Karen C. and Kat last night.
The vet is in the process of sending Bear's heart xrays to a specialist (1) to make sure her initial diagnosis was correct and (2) to plot further treatment. If we approve, Bear will go for MRI tests to determine what "phase" of heart disease she is in and what types of treatment are available. That should cost in the thousands. The specialist is about an hour away, at Texas A & M.
I have mixed feelings about finding out the "stage", as long as her current medications are working and not harming her and she is free of pain and can breath, it's fine.
Monica, if there is an experimental medication that will help without putting Amber through painful symptoms, I'd try it, myself. But like GS said, in the end it's up to Bear & I, and Amber & you. And Kat mentioned to use your "gut" rather than your "heart". They both had some really good advice there.
I haven't had a pet with cancer, but have heard the treatment is very severe. The bottom line is, I am not going to see any of my pets suffering. It will break my heart without a doubt.

On a different note completely, stopped by Petsmart and picked up Missy a couple of toys...I'll be posting a picture of her later, as well as Casper's pictures. And I got a list of low cost animal help in the Houston area. Plan to contact them to see if we can get a listing for the US, especially where GS is. I'm going to do a page on them, sure do need some better pictures if possible. Otherwise need a lot of details in the descriptions. Thought might list them as "Enchanted Kittens"??? They have such neat names (thanks, Karen C for identifying the names for me, duh). Or maybe someone can come up with something clever as a "selling" point.

BTW, Kat, Petsmart has a counter above the adoption portion with the number of lives saved. Maybe we should do that, also???? If we count everyone here who has saved a cat by adopting, plus Momma Gracie & Company, we have -- well, still a very small number. But we just started. Anyway, just a thought.

Sorry for the extremely long post.

no no! kitty not devil(ish), kitty just spoiled rotten and mischievious!

btw geisha rosie, kitten in japanese is co-neko. (long "o")

Lynn said...

I just looked at the picture on the left enlarged, and it made me laugh. You can defintely tell foxx has a mischievious side. But it looks like Sinatra is learning to hold his own. I bet those two are something together.

ML and Casper's Mom, I am so sorry to hear about your poor doggies. I will be praying for you and hoping whatever happens, that you will do whatever is best for Amber and Bear. Hugs and Purrs from Ella.

Afternoon all,

Loa, I *did* try Brennivin. Uhhh, it will *not* make my already very short list of alcohol I'll drink. But at least I tried it! And Bil got a good laugh at the expression on my face as I took a sip. No dried shark LOL. It was never offered and I did not look for it. :-)

GS, sorry, yes, I did get the mini-Kona picture. It was in my email when I got home but I've been a jet-lagged, sleep-deprived state for the last couple of days.

Anonymous said...

awww they are both very cute! love the evil pic of him...LOL. what a face!

Anonymous said...

Thank you all so very much for your thoughts and prayers. Every dog that I had to put down in my life I knew in my gut that it was time. Right now I look in Amber's big brown eyes and my heart melts. I have to talk to the vet more to make a decision. I'm trying to be happy around Amber but I think she is looking through my soul. I don't think I'm fooling her one bit.

a friend emailed this to me. thought this was for a good cause.

Casper's Mom -- please know that I am thinking of you and praying for both you & Amber. I know that this is a terrible time for you, but just remember that Amber loves you. Trust yourself, you will do what is best for her.

ML -- How is Bear doing? I am thinking of you too! I'm so sorry that Bear & Amber are sick. Take care.

Sorry about the multiple bloggings -- have any of you seen the TDK comment -- so offensive that TDK is no longer on my list. What is the matter with the KM?

KC and the Giggleman Kitties said...

Well, I stopped going to TDK since the James' incidents. A kitten site is no place for that type of language.

Aren't there filters you can use that automatically prohibit posts that contain certain words?

I used to be a SysOp way back in them olden days of the BBS (bulletin board systems). When I was not on duty, I had filters galore, just in case someone got too rowdy.

Thanks, Fuzz Pack, for all the prayers, etc. for my baby Bear. She is responding well to the heart meds. They will get the results of the xrays back tomorrow or early next week.

Anonymous said...

ML, so glad that Bear is responding to her meds. That is good news. Hope the x-rays will show good news also.

Never thought about the time difference for TDK. Poor KM is going to have a lot of comments against #32 when he wakes up in the morning. I just made a comment myself against #32.

Good night fuzz pack. See you tomorrow.

Emma's Kat said...

ML, So glad Bear is responding well!

Monica, You and Amber are in my prayers as well!

Good night fuzz sisters!

KC and the Giggleman Kitties said...

Thanks, everyone. Bear is responding well, but it is still just a matter of time. I'm just going to try to make her last few months as good as possible -- kinda hard since she is already spoiled rotten.
Monica, that's a strange comment you made about trying to act happy around Amber, but Amber saw thru the act...like she saw straight through your soul. That's exactly the feelings I have had with Bear. I'm really trying, and she reacts on the surface, but there is this knowing look on her face that makes me wonder...?
