Good mornin'! Looks like Cupcake's pooped from a sugar high! How do people get pix like this?!

Good Morning :) That is just so very cute. You can't a better picture than that.

Does anyone know how to tell if a cat has been hit by a car?

Oh gosh, Danielle. What are it's symptoms? If it had something broken, it probably wouldn't walk on it or walk at all, depending on internal damage. What's going on?

Well Jake has been hiding under the bed for two days. I didn't notice anything at first because he came out for a short period of time. Well my mom said he looked constipated. He arched his back when trying to go. So I got him some hairball stuff. I went to get him last night and had to grab his tail (thats all I could reach) As soon as I did that he growled at me. I finally got him out and his hind quarter seems to be the problem. He loves to get scratched at the base of his tail. When I just touched him there he growled again. I'm very concerned. He is not the smartest cat when it comes to cars. He doesn't move when we pull into the driveway. We have to physically move him.
Sorry I took so much space.

Danielle it seems that it would be a good idea to get him some medical attention. From experiences I've had with cats over the years from a broken tail to bladder stones to a bite we weren't aware of that absessed, it could be anything. Good luck with Jake, know you love him and I'll keep a good thought for him.

Take up as much space as you want! We want to know how Jake is! I definately agree w/Claire. If he's hiding and growling...not acting like hisself, somethings not right. Keep us updated!

Anyone having trouble posting? Blogger has been awful slow lately. Danielle, Kim sent u an email, she's having trouble posting.

Yippee! I can post! Danielle, Jake is going to be OK. You obviously love him very much and so I have no doubt that he's in good hands. Please keep us updated.

This picture is beautiful. The photographer must be the Ann Geddes of cats. I don't know if I spelled her name right but hopefully you all know who I'm talking about.

Rosie, are you having computer disfunctions? You can't see Cupcake?

Oscar the Puppy Cat said...

It's the lack of oversized FB's that has Rosie confused! LOL!

The picture is too light... Sorry 'bout that Rosie! I'll do better next time...lol It would've look better on Gheeri's site w/the black background.

What a sweet kitty. She looks like she's all sugared out. Sorry lack of better wording here.

It does make you wonder how they get pictures like this, especially when some cats don't sit still for very long. I say they posed this when the cat was asleep and all tuckered out. There are so many beautiful pictures of cats that make you wonder how they got them.

I really hope Jake will be O.K. Another kitty prayer going up.

Hi Everyone!
Cupcake looks a little ballerina pink to me - Sugar Plum Fairy FUZZ!!
Danielle, when you were describing
Jake's rear passage sensitivity, among other things, it reminded me when my cat Mischa had impacted anal sacs. I was SURE it was a twisted gut or some other gruesome thing, but the vet told me what she suspected, told me to wait outside (so as not to offend my olfactory senses). She expressed the sacs and Mischa had a p.o'd cattitude for the rest of the day.
It had happened years later to my Basset Hound, Baggins. I also seem to recall that for a day or so in both cases having to apply a warm compress to the area, further endearing myself to Mischa. Baggins was the typical long suffering Basset so submitted peacefully. It's a good thing to be so attuned to your cat's behavior - Kitty prayers and a special candle tonight for Jake!

Cupcake is beautiful and so is the picture! I wish I could take pictures like that.

I had a kitty who was hiding in a corner looking sick and growling when anyone came near. He wouldn't eat or use the cat box for two days. I took him into the vet and they gave him an x-ray. Turns out he was constipated, so they gave him a kitty enema (ick!). After that, all was well. I hope Jake is okay! Hugs, kisses and **purrrs** to him!

Danielle,

I'm thinking good thoughts for Jake too. So now we need Oscar and Jake updates!

TDK has been down almost a week. Sigh.

Cupcake is so pretty and pink. What a beautiful girl.
My poodle, Bear (now 16 yrs) has had Jake's problem several times. The vet said the arched back is the clue. It's always been constipation and/or anal gland problems. They get mean about having their behinds, even backs, touched. Each time she has had it, though, it really scared me. Please keep us posted on Jake, and also cute little Oscar. -- ML

Oscar seems to be doing 100% better. He is spending time alone in the backyard. He also spends a lot of time in the livingroom and is using his litterbox and eating again. No Rosie, he's not eating from his litterbox! He wants constant attention and is sleeping with me again. I'm so relieved. His wounds look to be healing very well. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. Lets all hope that Jake is doing well too. I love you all, you're my family too!
