Elli had the most amazing eyes!!! When I first logged on, they were the first thing I noticed about her! She was a beautiful girl and I know you will again see her one day! Are you familiar with the Rainbow Bridge, I believe that is where she is?! Thank you so much for sharing your lovely girl with us, I know the pain your going through and am so glad you chose to share with us. It really helps to have a group of friends who understand. It will take a while for the pain to dull, as it never really goes away, but hopefully you'll find comfort here.

Good Morning All! I got to sleep in for a change!!! Alan got up with the kids!

Good luck Katnippia! I know you're going to have a great adventure on your way to your new home!

Morning everyone.

Hello Ellie! Oh my, what a sweet little girl. She's beautiful. I would love to be able and pack up our fur-babies when we travel but I think they'd really rather stay at home. Such a cute picture.

She'll always be in your heart.

Ellie was beautiful. I am partial to black kitties. Oh, who am I kidding, I love them all! Solid black kittie do look very regal, though.

I am sorry for your loss. I have lost 2 of my babies who lived to 13 and 14. My Isabelle has been gone 9 years now, and Bear for 5, but I will never forget them. I keep framed pictures of them on a shelf of my shadow box. Our cats are truly members of our families.

She is absolutely gorgeous, and looks so peaceful and intelligent - her eyes are really beautiful.

I'm really sorry for your loss, there aren't many things worse than losing someone you really love, be it animal or human. I'm glad you decided to share Ellie's picture with us, I'm sure she couldn't have had a more loving mommy.

What a sweet Ellie. So sorry she has passed. Donna beat me to it, don't ever forget they live always in your heart. About ten years ago I had to put down my two best friends Bandit and Little Bit (dogs) within six months of each other and believe me I know that kind of sorrow. It's really hard at first but now I remember the cute and best times we had together. Casper knew them for a short while.

Ellie I know was a real pal to you. She looks like she was a small cat, really beautiful.

Hi everyone!
Annette, I adore Ellie, from the sophisticated sound of her name, her amazing eyes and beautiful black coat, and do I detect a slight "turn-out", like a ballet dancer, in her front paws?! I know the ache in the middle of the chest, slightly to the left...it IS TRULY HEARTACHE! I've felt it, when I was in the hospital 5 years ago, and a social worker decided "because I was too ill to make decisions" to have my 14 year old Zuzu put down... she was white with calico markings, and very smart, sensitive and dainty-the ballet turn-out too! Aside from a slight heart murmur and even slighter cataract - the vet said common kitty-geriatric signs- she was healthy, and I feel she was sent to the Rainbow Bridge too soon...I think my grieving prolonged my recovery by months. But I've felt that Heartache many times and fear it happening again, but that's what we have to do - we have to let new fuzz-loves into our hearts, because there's a void without them...I am comforted by knowing all my fuzz friends of all species are waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge, and in a bittersweet way, it helps me to honor their memory and keep a piece of them in my heart.
I tend to ramble on, and I'm sorry!
But I really thank you for sharing Ellie with us - I loved meeting her. Take care of yourself, Annette!

I'm so sorry about Ellie. It must be very painful to have to give up such a wonderful, sweet girl. But it's true, she'll always be with you in a way. And Rose is right: it does help to find other fur persons to love.

I'm so sorry to hear about Ellie. My cat, Patches, died two years ago. She was also around 18 years old. I take comfort in the fact that she had a very long and happy life. Patches was never cold, she never went hungry, she never had no one to love her. Hugs to Ellie.

Rose so sorry to hear about Zuzu. In my book that was uncalled for, putting her down before her time. But no matter the hurt I couldn't live my life without a pet of some sort in it. I love animals. We live out in the country where we have deer, jack rabbits, foxes, squirrels even saw a coyote in our back yard once and we have been here almost twenty eight years. Love it. Heard a couple horses one night and when I checked the next morning and saw hoof prints I knew I wasn't dreaming. Have no idea where they came from.

Sure hope TDK hasn't lost their new server.

What a lovely kitty with such beautiful eyes! It seems that if you open a suitcase, it's immediately filled by cat. I'm sorry for your loss - thank you for sharing this picture.

This is why I love you guys! Gush, gush. And it's people like you all that make this site what it is!

Anyone hear from Danielle? I was just wondering about her and Jake. I'm sure he's doing very well but haven't seen Danni in a few days.

Well Fuzz Pack, I must sign off now. If God is willing, we will be home by Wednesday night! I know I've been vague about giong away, but there are so many other fuzzies that need our support right now! Katnippia, have a safe trip! GS, lots of love to Steele and your family! Danni, give Jake kisses from his second family! Everyone else, I'll be missing your comments too! I'd mention you all by name but our little family has really grown and I think that's WONDERFUL!!!! Kat, I will give you a call from Little Rock and let you know how things go! Love to you all my friends!
Meows, Purrs, and Nuzzles from Oscar and his human family!

Hi Annette,
Ellie is a very beautiful cat. Love her steady gaze and her posture. Eighteen years is a long time to be friends, know she is missed (understatement).
Was going to say I'm partial to black cats, but who am I fooling? Just like the rest of you, I'm partial to CATS! Thanks for sharing her with us.
BTW, check out the new photo of the tiny, adorable Chase and Fievel on http://itsrainingcatsndogs.blogspot.com/. Amanda has posted pictures of her whole fur family.

BTW, gals! I am getting a little black and white 5-6 week old kitten to foster for a rescue group that works out of PetsMart. They're called A.R.T....Animal Rescue of Tidewater. I've fostered 41 cats and kittens to be exact for them. I haven't fostered though since February. It's my way of getting my kitten fix and then they go on to be adopted into great homes. ART is very thorough in their adoption process. I will start taking pix tomorrow and post them on the Flickr box...ok?!! I'm excited! It kinda stinks he/she is by his/herself, because it will have to stay in Sammie's huge crate (plenty of room for a little kitten) until it can be tested for FIV and AIDS at 8 weeks I think it is. I mean, she'll be able to play in my room but she won't be allowed around my other kitties until tested. And she's so small I probably won't leave her in my room by herself, for fear she won't make it to the litter box. Anyway...I'll post her on Flickr when I have a few pix. I say her...it could be a him. I get to pick a name too! That's always fun!

Good Evening all--

ANNETTE--I'm so sorry for the loss of Ellie. Besides being good and smart, she was obviously very pretty. I'm always amazed at how many cats I have to unpack before we leave on a trip; and, depending on where we go, how many I have to unpack before I can go home! At my sister's house, the suitcases go in a closed closet--Goldie has "Mad Pisser" ideas when she smells other cats. I even have to be careful of my knitting bag!

AMANDA--Another set of cute kitten/cat/dog pictures. Chase has grown into a handsome young cat, but he was one of the cutest kittens I have ever seen. His picture is hanging in my studio. Good luck with your blog, and I'll see what I can scare up for you.

KIM--I know you have probably left by now, but I'm sure Kat can relay the message that OF COURSE our thoughts and prayers will follow you and yours to LR and home again.

DANNI--where are you and how is Jakey doing? My furry-foots send purrs and kisses.

I was afraid it would be QUIET around here with GS gone until Wednesday!HAH!!

HeeHee--I was going to quit, but it sounds like World War III has started outside. Paul just cranked up the lawnmower(for the 1st time this year), and Shep the Dog is "helping" his Dad. Sheppie's idea of helping means herding and/or dragging his blanket and rug in front of the mower, barking non-stop. Between the mower, the dog and assorted bad language aimed at the dog, it gets pretty loud and silly out there!

NOW I'll quit--huggles and a peaceful night to all--
