Kimiko

Kimiko is one of five kittens I found in the dumpster at work. We wondered why a cat was hanging around the dumpster and that's when we found the kittens. I climbed in and retrieved all her babies but could not catch her. All of the kittens came home with me (my husband rolled his eyes) and we kept them for about three weeks to accustom them to people and get them cleaned up and litter box trained. Kimiko stayed. She is VERY vocal about her needs. when she wants to be held, which is every evening when I walk in the house, she will meow loudly at my feet until I hold her like a infant in my arms and sway with her. She curls up and purrs with much happiness and contentment. -Shirley

Good morning! What a cutie, and beautiful markings as well! I like how her wittle mouth looks dirty, like she's been eating something and needs to wipe it. How old is Kimiko Shirley??

Kimiko is very sweet. You were wonderful to save her and her siblings and I'm sure she is letting you know all the time how much she loves you by all her cuddling and vocal greetings.

Totally calm and probably thinking, dumb dog! LOL...BTW, I have nothing against dogs, I own a great dog, but as I always say, Cats Rule & Dogs Drool!

Kimiko, is a very pretty girl. I love when they greet you at the door wanting you pick them up and give loves when you get home. It just makes any bad day from work disappear. Kitty Snuggle Bug!

Hi Danielle, meant to ask...how's our Mikey doing?!
The advice given about swaddling him before pilling him is RIGHT ON!
He's doing his best to comply...I think vets calculate how many times a cat will actually spit out a pill and dose accordingly...!
Take care, Danielle!

Hi Kimiko!

Pretty girl :-) Did you see the link off of Crinkle's Cecilia's site about tri-colored kitties? Interesting--tri-colors are always female.

A cat has a mind all of it's own to him or her self alone. I think it's interesting how most cats posted has his or her own way of wanting love and attention. Kimiko you are a real sweetie and I can see why you love your Mom and why your Mom loves you. Casper was doomed to a dumpster too as I couldn't catch him until he became sick. Casper had a sibling also but I couldn't get anywhere near him or her to rescue the kitten.

Oh, Danielle, have you ever pilled a horse?! I have, and my horse Tony raised his head until he thought he was safe - but I was on a mountng block. I had someone holding his lead, but when I won, he "Crowned" me SO HARD, I went around a good 20 minutes, muttering "Oh so THIS is "seeing
stars"...FAR-OUT, MAN!!

Aww - sweet loving kitty! I love the talkative ones. I like to think that my 3 are at the door to greet me when I come home, but I think it's really because they know I'll feed them.

Hi Karen,

I have to agree. Almost always, one, two, or all three of our kitties are at the door when I come in (I think they hear and recognize the garage door opening). And as much as I'd like to think it's a general greeting, I too suspect that they are simply thinking "dinner time"!

Shirley, How is Kimiko's name pronounced?

KIM' ee ko? or,

Kim EE' ko? (This is how I hear it when I see it).

Hello Ladies! Face it, we know who's really in control. THEY ARE! Our cats, dogs, horses, you name it, they're the ones who have US trained. And you know what, we LOVE it!!! We're a pliable species, we know this, they know this, and it just works. I don't think we'd want it any other way. Oscar is nice enough to pretend that I'm the one calling the shots, we both know better. So we play our game of "Cat and Mouse" so to speak, and the world turns as it should!

her name is pronounced (KEY me ko) and she is a young 11 years old. she is a cuddler and then some. when my mom comes over to visit she gets in her lap and takes great offense if my mom has to get up for any reason. she is in whatever room i am in. usually curled up in a nearby chair if i am not holding her.

thanks to everyone for all of the sweet comments about kimiko

So you went dumpster diving for kittens, eh.
The first thing that got me was that GAZE, those hypnotic eyes and that steady gaze. Then the beautiful coloring. All that, and she's a cuddler, too! Just beautiful...ML

What a beautiful kitty! Thanks for sharing her with us. Isn't it great when they great us when we come home? I see Pumpkin's little face at the window when I'm parking the car and he's there when I go in. Of course, you HAVE to pick him up to give him a cuddle. He'll be all relaxed for awhile, then he'll want to be put down so that he can release some of his built-up kitten energy. The other 4 cats are slugs and will keep on snoozing. LOL!
