Marley

This is Marley. We adopted him when he was 3 mos. old from our local SPCA. He is a Siamese flamepoint mix. He has a slight cross to his eyes, obviously from the Siamese. But he is the most mellow laid-back cat. I don't know that there's a mean bone in his body. He puts up w/anything. He's not very social w/my other kitties, but never mean to them. He just whines. He loves belly rubs and my son; he sleeps with him every night. I think he took over for Danny after Danny passed. He's such a good boy! His nicknames are Marley Farley and Mooley. -Kat

Good Morning,
Marley is absolutely beautiful. I love him. He is (looks like) a big cuddle bug. I want to pick him up and give him love. My spot likes to have his toes rubbed as well. He will stretch out his foot for that.

I also like yesterdays cat very cute. Lucky for whomever it was (I forgot) to have rescued them.

Jake is almost back to his normal self. Attitude and all. I am so very happy about that. I am at work and it is very crazy the company is moving. I will get back when I can. Thanks again Fuzz Pack!!!!! :)

Kat,

Marley is gorgeous, love his coloration. We have had a Tonkinese, which is a mix of Siamese and Burmese (plus my daughter has two now) and the personality traits are very much like Marley, like they are observing the activity around them-sometimes aloof from other cat activity but very much into humans. Marley is a treasure.

Danielle-glad to hear Jake is getting back to himself. Your loving care is certainly helping.

Hi Danielle! That's great news! Just like humans, they seem to mend faster in their own homes! Like Claire said, your loving care is helping quite a bit!!! Take Care you two!

What a handsome boy Marley is! His markings are gorgeous.

Danielle, so glad to hear Jake is much better. I've been tracking his progress everyday although I rarely post. Just want you to know that prayers and good thoughts have been coming your way from Costa Rica, same as when Oscar was going through his ordeal.

Marley is such a beautiful boy. He looks like a sweet loving boy. I just love his flame point coloring, his eyes just distinguish him from all the other kitties. Kat1 thanks for sharing Marley with us.
Danielle, glad to hear that Jake is feelingbetter, and acting like his self again.

Hi Marley!

Oh, he is a cutie. I love those slightly crossed blue eyes and his light coloring. What a difference in his coloring in the two different lights of the pictures. So soft looking.

I am so happy to hear that Jake is almost back to normal. Thanks for the update Danielle. Jake--be sure to finish off any meds even if you're feeling better!

Marley has the most beautiful blue eyes. Wow. Love his coloring, too. Pretty...er...handsome boy. Sounds like he has a great personality as well. Love the pose with the tennis ball, that paw holding the ball.
And am so glad to hear Mr. Jake is doing well. Nothing like being in your own house to get better.

What a pretty boy!! I seem to be saying that a lot lately...

DONNA--I was just looking at Wiley's kitten pictures; I can't believe how laid back she was that 1st night.

DANNI--I'm SO glad that Jake is getting back to his old self, 'tude and all!

Actually Donna, the pic to the right is a younger Marley, probably 1 year old. And the picture on the left is him at 5 or 6 years old. So, my point is, he has gotten oranger with age! A lot oranger! He's my quiet but sweet boy. He is kind of a loner. He will come to us for attention when he wants it and doesn't mind being picked up so long as you don't try and kiss him. He will turn away if you try and kiss him on the head! Stinker! He's very docile (is that the word I'm looking for?), he will lay on the couch while I clip his nails and he's great about getting a bath. Like I said before, he's just a very laid-back kitty, prefering(sp?) to stay to himself mostly. He's such a good boy.

Oh Marley what a handsome beautiful boy you are. Would really like to give a squeeze.

I give Casper squeezies. He doesn't like it when I make over him so I pick him up squeeze, kiss and tell him I love him then put him down. That's enough for him. Sounds like you Marley, although I can get away with a kiss. Guess you're a kinsman of Casper, he has red eys too, when the light is right.

Danielle so glad kitty prayers and devotion on your part has Jake almost himself again. Real glad to hear the good news.

Hi Marley Farley! What a handsome boy. He looks very sweet. I love kitties that like to sleep with you...I have 4 of them. Unfortunatly the bed isn't big enough for the 6 of us...

Marley is a beautiful boy - I love the color, and he looks so soft and cuddly. Very pretty and healthy African violets by the way - if that were my Midnight there next to them, they'd be chewed or knocked over. He must be a very well behaved boy too!

BTW, I failed to mention that Marley just had a b-day, this month actually! He turned 7 years old the 20th.

Rita & Donna, I too give sqeezies to Marley. I pick him up hug and release! Or I'll grab (gently) Marley's head and kiss it, much to his unliking! He knows he likes it deep down!! Emma and Benji love being loved and kissed on!

And a very happy 7th birthday to you Marley!

It's SO great to hear the good news about Jake!

Marley is very well behaved! Although my violets have since been removed from there because of a couple of little stinkpot foster kittens, that decided to try it for a snack! lol...love you Lilly! They're still doing well but in my kitchen window sill! Question for all the flower/plant lovers out there: Is it pansies or violets that are non-toxic and you can eat?? I know it's one of them...just can't remember which!

I try to kiss my Cocoa's head, but he's too fast for me. As soon as he sees my face coming toward him, his starts licking my nose and mouth. He's a lover kitty. Grr, on the other hand, pulls her head back and looks at me with big, round, shocked eyes that say "WHAT do you think you're doing?"

Happy Birthday, Marley. I hope you get all your favorite treats and toys because you look like you deserve them.

Danielle, congratulations. It's good to know Jake is on the mend.

Kat1, I don't know about pansies, but you can eat violets (genus Viola - not African Violets). They're sometimes crystallized for cake decorations, etc. (I admit I've never tried them, though.)

Please add my Jeremy to the list of squeezy cats. One of the first things he taught me was how to tell when he wanted a hug. Like Gheeri, he never wanted to be held long, just picked up, hugged and let go again. I always thought he just wanted to be reassured that the human was there for him.

Kat1 I hope you don't mind, but I am in the process of reading Rita Mae Brown's recent book "Sour Puss" and what Mrs. Murphy and Pewter did during the marriage ceremony between Fair and Harry was hilariously funny. Was wondering if anyone has read it yet?? Just finished "The Cat who dropped a bombshell." Had to wait until the library had them so I'm sure that some you have already read them.

Happy Birthday Marley!!!

Kat, that's very interesting how his coloring has changed over the years. By the time he's 20, think how dark he'll be ;-) (hee hee).

meowmepurr's mum -- I think Wiley was in a euphoric state of relief. She was warm, getting fed, and getting loved. She needed it, poor skinny thing.

Riquel - we have a King-size bed and I laugh at how much space two kitties take up on it! Kona and Wiley sleep with us 90% of the time. Maddie has her own places she likes to sleep.

As for squeezies and head kisses: I can hug and kiss Kona as much as I want. When he's in a really loving mood, he'll gently head-bump me. I can usually get away with a kiss to Wiley's head but I'm not sure what she thinks about it. With Maddie--she doesn't care for either, but I give them to her anyway. I call it "drive-by lovin'". Get in, do it, let her go. I too think that deep down she likes it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARLEY!!!!!

kat1 - marley is sooo handsome. i love his color. all of the saimese my family had ever had have been, for the most part, laid back. each saimese we had had a favorite person. i guess marley's person is your son. lucky guy. nothing beats having your own personal heating pad at night. especially one that vibrates! i am so glad you shared marley with us.

danielle - glad to hear jake is doing well. continue to give him hugs and kisses for us.

Marley thanks you all for the b-day wishes! Can we believe TDK is actually up??? Are we dreaming?? Some really adorable kittens to catch up on too!! Yeah for TDK!

Casper's mom, I haven't read any of those books. I need to write down the titles, so when I get the time I can read them!!
