Meowmepurr

Here is my little Meowmepurr. She is chasing her tail vertically on her cat tree. She also chases horizontally on the floor, with lots of pounces and noise. Thanks for the opportunity to show off our adult cats. She is 4 1/2 years old, and weighs 5 lbs. Purrs to all-- Jan (Meowmepurr's Mumma)

Good morning everyone! Sorry I'm posting so late! I actually got to sleep in for once! Yipee!

Don't you absolutely love this pic? It almost looks like two different cats. She's very agile.

And she looks like a true tuxedo Jan! Wait till you see my Emma. They could be twins!! Seriously.

Meowmepurr is adorable! I thought it was two cats too when I first saw the pic. Very acrobatic kitty. I love to watch cats try to chase their tails. It cracks me up every time!

What a pretty girl! Her furr looks like velvet! And I have to admit, I just lover her name!! How did you come up with it?

Creating this site was a wonderful idea! Our older babies need to be shown off too!

Thank you all for the kind words about my baby girl, but...

LINDA'S KIARA IS TDK TODAY!!

Thank you, Kat, for showing my Meepsie. She is a lot of fun, and very acrobatic. One of her other tricks is "Mary Poppins," where she looks like she is sliding UP the bannister.

Her name actually is stolen from a series of cat fantasy books by Gail Greeno. I fell in love with the name before the kitten appeared.

In the books, Meowmepurr can mindspeak with her chosen human, and also has mystical powers.

Now I have to send this url to my mother, and sister, and friends...

I love this picture! Count me as one who thought it was two kitties :-) She is so cute and adorable.

Sorry Rosie...GYMNAST FUZZ?

Hi Meowmepurr!

Her kitty perch looks like ours: well-used. Better it than the sofa or chairs. (Actually, we have 3 kitty perches in our house and I'm not sure it's enough. Martha Stewart would faint at our "decor".)

That's funny, because Martha has at least one large Himalayan, and a very fluffy Chow. It's good to have staff, though; I'm sure Martha isn't the one vacuuming up all the kitty fur.

That kitty tree is about to be reupolstered-for the 3rd time. I bought it at an auction-fundraiser, and had to outbid a good friend for it.

I think I'm going to move mine downstairs. I was lucky, my husband made our kitty tree. Maybe it will deture (sp??) Emma from using the couch as a scratching post!!

It does look like two kitties - how cute! I like it when kitties chase their tails. Mine chase each other's tails - this doesn't go over very well with the one whose tail gets caught.

She's perfectly beautiful! I, too, love tuxedo kitties. (And I did think it was two tuxedo kitties at first.)

As to the tail-chasing:

There's tail-chasing, and there's TAIL-CHASING and there's Olympic level tail-chasing. I think this kitty took the gold.

What an acrobat she is! Very beautiful and I'll bet a lot of fun to watch. Thanks Jan for sharing Meowmepurr.

Today is my Boo's BD. She's 12 and Kat says will be posted next week. Yea! Thanks Kat.

Hi Linda,

Confession time... the two tall kitty trees we got for our babies were...$160 each (ouch) from a local pet supply store. They are ~5' tall with two intermediate steps and a "half-barrel"(?), curved top; kind of like the one in your picture of Kiara only deeper. We brought the first one home, sprinkled catnip all over it and it was love at first sight. So much so, that Maddie claimed it and defended it as her own, much to young Kona's consternation. So, we--being properly trained--went out and bought an identical one for Kona. Again, the catnip helped them identify them as their's. We have only slight, ocassional lapses of claw scratching on our furniture. They are really quite good about using their own. And we may have to "recarpet" them in the not-too-distant future.

Meowmepurr you are a beautiful girl and so agile. I can see why Mumma loves you so much.

Sure wish our cats could afford a cat tree or house. I would love to see them play on it. Can't believe how expensive they are. Ummm, just wondering...... if my son could by chance make one. We have the carpet to put on it. Love to see all your remarks here and TDK and Bagheera sites. I come on late on Friday's as I am a volunteer at our library in town in the morning then run around like crazy afterwards to get my errands done.

Hello Everyone. Jan, Meowmepurr was worth the wait. Yes, I too thought I was seeing two cats. She's a pretty girl! If I were that limber I think my husband would faint! HAHA! Can I say that? Anyway, she's a beauty and you're a good Mommy!

Meowmepurr, is a very beautiful and acrobatic kitty. I have a black and white boy who is 15, I love all kitty colors but black and white kitties make me think of him. Does Meowmepurr do her tail chaseing on the back of your kitchen chairs? My cat Pounce does and I am amazed that she doen't fall.

Meowmepurrs it is nice to meet such a beautiful girl....

I love the shredded cat tree in the picture. Now I don't feel so alone. Thought the tattered remnants of my 16-pound cat's tree marked him as a bit of a deviant. ;-D
