Tiger

Tiger says "Hello!" Actually I caught him in a yawn. As a stray kitten, he somehow found his way into our hedge. It took about a week of leaving food out for him before he trusted us enough to come close enough to be picked up. The rest is history! -Linda W., Honolulu, Hawaii

Aloha Tige! Aloha Linda! I'm from Honolulu too. I was born in Kalihi, my Grandma and aunt still live there.

This is a great candid shot of your pretty kitty! He has beautifl markings! Look at those pretty eyes and nose. He looks like he's saying "Really, you don't say?!" He looks happy and well adjusted!

Good Morning All!

Good morning...
What a precious kitty. What a great photo, too. He does have such an expressive face, and you must have been quick on that camera to catch it.
Thanks again, Kat, for letting us start our daily grind with such neat pictures and stories. Makes all the difference.

Mornin' Friends!

I LOVE Tiger!! His expression reminds me of a stand-up comic-actually, the first thought was Jay Leno's opening monologue...(don't ask me why exactly-I'm a Letterman Person, and I live off Exit 9 on the (NJ) Turnpike...!)

I ADORE Hawaii!! Had the bessing of visiting Oahu and Kauai in 1986.
I stay B&B when I (used to ) travel, and My Hostess was a British Expatriot and her Mum in a House with a View of Diamond Head!!
I was transfixed on HOW BLUE the ocean is! (The Atlantic is Green and not transparent...)
Does Tiger hunt or play with the critters? He looks too friendly to do harm to anything! ADORE His coloring!
Mahalo for sharing him with us, Linda!!

Kat1 - want to thank you too for providing a FUZZ FIX for us, too!

Oh BTW...In FULL agreement with the Quote this morning, so true!

Since I can't shut up this AM - I wanted to mention a Kitten Site that may be new to some - it's
CuteLittleKittens.com.
The more FUZZ the better! Good for
the endorphen levels!

Morning everyone. And especially...
Hi Tiger!

What a great photo. He looks so cute. "My what nice teeth you have there." :-)

May I show off one of my kitties again? I was walking Wiley this weekend and carried my camera. I got these great shots of her. I wish I could say I knew what I was doing, but I just got lucky.

Cheers!

Emilyrose, I love cutelittlekittens.com. I seldom rate them unless they are just so cute. They have the cuttest pictures! So does TDK but this is in a different format.

Hi Shirley! I left a comment for you last night on Danny Boy. What I wanted to tell you was that I remember Yuki, the beautiful white kitty, hiding from the camera! I guess I missed the connection between Mako and Yuki or I forgot. Either way, your kitties are so sweet.

Rose, you're so funny. Never shut up, talk away. I love stories and interesting info. Jan we haven't heard a good Meepsie story lately! What up?! lol

Donna!...Donna...I love the pic of Wiley girl! It turned out so crisp and the color! Wow...what kind of camera did you use!!?? I'm not very good w/the camera either. I need to start taking more pictures. I've been slack lately. Anyway, great picture!

Donna, I think it would be neat to sign a guest book on your site. Kat is right, the close up pics of Wiley are great!

Hi everyone, thanks for the comments. I'm a newbie when it comes to creating a web site. But I think I'll figure out a guestbook ASAP. :-)

No special camera, really. Mine is a Panasonic DMC-FZ5, 5 MPixel. The last two were taken with the camera on "macro". I was so pleased they turned out because I usually get the distance wrong and they come out all blurry when I try to use this mode.

Tiger is adorable. It really does look like he's carrying on quite a conversation. I love his stripes!

That picture of Wiley is great! She's so beautiful and cuddly looking in all her pictures.

I'm anxiously awaiting the Jake status report. Did he get to come home today? Give him my love! **purrrrrr**

I just found Wiley and her portfolio. She is just beautiful. Such wonderful eyes too! Great pictures. Had to use Google because my regular browser couldn't find the site.

Love this picture. Really cute and a real sweetie of a cat, with beautiful markings. It does look like he is carrying on a conversation as if to say "you don't say."

My favorite vacation was to Hawaii also. Just can't believe that ocean over there, the colors just fascinate me.

Aloha, Tiger--thank you for almost showing us your tonsils. In our house, we thank them for showing us every tooth in their heads.

Cat yawns give me the yawns, just like people yawns do. We also have "Sleepy Kitten Disease." Put a nice, warm, and sleeping cat on your lap...and go take a nap! Some of the great joys of retirement--sweats & t-shirt(&NO bra!) all day... do the whole crossword and read the whole paper with breakfast... naps on demand...sleep in if you can(I slept until 9:30 this morning!)...stay up to finish the good book you are reading.

Next subject--Kat, you're not reading your own blog--"Meepsie and Her Dog" is in Danny Boy's comments. Again, thank you for sharing Danny with us, and more thanks, every day, for Kat's Cat.

I'll gush about Hawaii later...

Sorry, Jan...brain fart!...anyway, hey! I got another story out of ya! We want to see Shep, BTW! Have you sent his pic to GS?

Okay, I need some input...just a little actually. I was thinking of doing like a Kat's Cat Quote of the Week, or something like that. What do you think? Did you'all like having the quote? I love quotes! And I think one a week is good. Yes?

Anonymous said...

The only thing better than a clever quote is one having to do with kitties - I vote YES!

Oscar the Puppy Cat said...

Yes, that's a great idea.

Lynn said...

Hi Tiger! What a cute kitty. I love his color! This is a great picture. Give him a hug for me.

I like your quote too Kat, I totally agree. I think a quote for the week would be a good idea.

Meowmepurr's Mumma said...

KAT--Go for it. I'll start e-mailing you some I love.

No Shep pictures to GS yet, but it is lovely out today, and I think I know where the camera is. We spent most of last evening moving the 1st wing of the plane from the shop to storage, and Paul took pictures of the whole process. Boy, do I LOVE digital cameras!! Anyhow, the camera is available.

DONNA, the pictures of Wiley are just grand. Wiley is beautiful, and you did a really, REALLY good job on the photos. The close-ups are competition material.

I vote "Yes" to the Weekly Quote"!!

(and Kat1, thanks for allowing me to ramble at times!)

Anonymous said...

Yes to the quotes!
Tiger is adorable, how great was it to be able to get that shot?! Too Cute!

Anonymous said...

I think a weekly quote would be great, didn't ts elliot have lots to say about cats? I believe he was a great fan of felines. Thanks for thinking of it. Something like the quotable cat?

Anonymous said...

Just looked at Borders and Charles Elliot has cat lovers quotes Kat1, perhaps a source for the site?

Emma's Kat said...

Thanks everyone! Thanks Claire, I will be checking that out. Anyone who has a fave quote, feel free to send them on.

(Rose, I love you're rambling!)

Getting ready to go see Curious George w/the kiddies! Hope it's cute! I'm sure it will be.

Hey I really like that saying brain fart. It's better than a senior moment.

Yes on the quote of the day.

neen said...

I saw Tiger's pic earlier at work, and yes, it made me yawn too! :)

I don't usually comment (busybusybusy at work) but I also vote yes on the quotes. Heinlein had quite a few things to say about cats in most of his books...including the theory that most of the human race descended from apes....but Redheads are descendants of Cats! lol

If I come across any good quotes, I'll email them to you Kat. Thanks for the site. It's great!

momsbusy said...

i vote yes for the quote of the week feature. i know i could use a little more intellectual stimulation. especially if it is something about cats.

kim i saw the comment you left for me yesterday. thank you for saying my babies are sweet. of course they have their moments. it seems my two girls get a wee bit jealous of each other around bedtime. it's not as if i'm not big enough for the two of them to sleep on me. LOL

Tiger says thanks for all the compliments! He really is a sweetie. When I finally caught him and gave him his first bath, I expected a big struggle. But except for one lunge for freedom and a little "mew", he just took it without biting or scratching. He's 3 years old now.

Linda <--waving to everyone from Hawaii!
