Wow, is all I can say! Those eyes!
I do love all kitties, but especially black ones and Amos...wow! His eyes look like copper. I really like his outside enclosure too. What a great idea! Niels, if you see this, tell us some more about this enclosure. Looks like Amos loves it as well.

OMGosh! I just clicked on the pic...check out his cute little mouth expression! Amos, you're too much!

BTW! Good morning all!

Amos is very handsome. I love black cats and have two myself. Love Amos' sleek look.

Claire, The rule here is...if you mention your kitties, you have to send pix!! J/J, but we would love to see you kitties!!

Hi Amos! I, too, love black kitties obviously what with Maddie and Kona. I'm very curious about the enclosure too. Especially the tree-like thing (is it a real tree??) that he's on.

Very wonderful pictures of a wonderful kitty.

OMG, AMOS! You have made my day, Dude!! I clicked on the pic on the left, and he does have a face that MUST make bipeds smile just to look at, not to mention the ...ahem...*F.B.*s!! (paging our Rosie!!)
Kat, I'm also loving the kitty habitat, also! Boy, would Emily LOVE one of those connected to my terrace door! I have a really cool super who likes cats himself, which is why I took the apartment -
"We're Kitty-Friendly - No!- no extra deposit!" ALL apartment complexes should have such "rules".
Anyway, when I win that lottery (or get the p/t job I'm testing out for,) I'm going to have to try to have one built for her - Niels, did you design that yourself? OH! and I love Amos in the kitchen...ahem, I really shouldn't do this, but;

IRON CHEF FUZZ!!

or

NAKED CHEF FUZZ!!

This a FUZZ Showdown, Our
Friend Rosie!!

ps Kat, I'm sorry, I can't get the pics to you this Wednesday (I duck while being swatted at) Couldn't get a hold of my buddy o'pal... ASAP, I promise!

Have a blessed Day, Everyone!

Good Morning, Amos. What a doll. Yes, indeed, what beautiful eyes. LOVE his "pose" on the left...would also like to know more about that super cool enclosure. Wow.
Hi, Kat, is today THE DAY? Bet you are excited. How soon do we get to see pictures of the little kitten????? ...ML

Emma's Kat said...

That's okay Rose...::sniff:: LOL! I'll fit her in somewhere if I ever...I MEAN when I get the pictures. You know I'm just playin w/ya! I emailed Dannie and told her the Fuzz Pack is starting to worry, being as that we haven't heard from her! So, Danielle, if you're reading this!!

Emma's Kat said...

ML, Can you believe my hubby swiped the camera for work today!!?? I frowned at him, but he took it anyway...lol. So, hopefully tomorrow or maybe late tonight! I am excited! You guys...er gals will have to help me name him/her. We give them a nickname while we're fostering. I don't know what time I'm gettin the kitten...but I can't wait! I'll keep you updated!

KC and the Giggleman Kitties said...

Well, we will all be waiting for that. Funny how guys never understand a good frown. What could possibly be more important than getting a new foster kitten?
And yes, we definitely need a Jake and Danielle update. It's been a while. ...ML

Emma's Kat said...

DANIEEELLLLLLE!!! LOL...I know, I know! I will tell you'all since she hasn't. She posted under the quote of the day, but she, basically, was having technical difficulties w/her computer. So not to worry.

Good Morning all. Amos is beautiful. (Boys can be beautiful.)I also love the pose on the left.

Jake is still not 100% attitude wise. Going to the bathroom he still has a little problem but he can go. He absolutely hates taking meds. It is a fight to get them down.

Well hope everyone is good. Have to do some work now.

What a beautiful boy, and an amazing play house! I'm glad I'm not the only one who has "help" in the kitchen. Amos's eyes and expression are just priceless, and I'll bet he feels like mink!

On Friday, it was in the high 80's here--most unusual for April. I had all the windows open, and was up here doing computer things. Then I heard a very loud "!!MRROWW!!" from the deck. I ran down, thinking that Flumpy was in some kind of trouble. ::sigh:: He was VERY PROUDLY announcing the FIRST MOUSIE of the outdoor season!! I told him it was a lovely mousie, he was the Mighty Hunter, and would he please eat it somewhere OTHER than on the doormat!

Not many dull moments around here!

Happy May Day to all

Morning again all.

Our cats have full run of the house. Counters and all. It just doesn't bother me.

Meomepurr -- how funny. Congratulations on Flumpy's first catch. :-)

Check out post #6 on TDK. How do you contact the kittenmaster to have them remove a comment? I hesitate to respond to it since that may be what they want and I don't want to give them the satisfaction. Either sick or just trying to be sick-funny.

Danielle, I'm so glad Jakey continues to get better.

Donna, KM will definately delete it when he sees it. I think it's good to just ignore. We probably shouldn't talk about him here either as I'm sure he lurks around here too. If you don't like animals, why frequent TDK?! Attention and a reaction from us, I guess...sad really. Well, enough about the Imposter...I'm already giving him too much of my time and attention, exactly of which he wants.

Right on! Flumpsy! My kitties don't get to go outside (unless I can get my hubby to screen in our front porch:) ), but they definately hunt bugs of any kind that get into the house...oh and the occasional bed mouse! I need to get on him about that front porch!!

DONNA-- The last time I asked Kittenmaster for help, I just posted starting

KITTENMASTER...and explained what I was objecting to--it, and my complaint were gone within minutes.

BTW-- your website is coming along beautifully. Glad to finally see a picture of YOU!!

I try to pretend that my kids aren't on the counter all the time. When I tell Flumpy to get off the counter, he sits in the sink instead, "See, Mumma, I'm not on the counter." What can you do but laugh. We have a gas cooktop, so I do try to keep them off THAT counter!

Congrats on the first kill!!!!!!
My spot caught a snake the other day. EEEEWWWWW He's a pretty good hunter.

Those are tokens of their love and appreciation. But it is gross when you walk out and find dead animals.

danielle said...

Hey sorry Kat but I have to. Check out www.catoftheday.com he is really cute.

I had never heard of a British Shorthair till I saw a kitten on TDK and I checked out pictures of the breed. They really are very beautiful, as is Amos - like a fuzzy little black panther. How great that he has such a wonderful kitty enclosure! I wish I could do that for my babies.

I saw that comment on TDK, but it's already been deleted, plus all references to it.

Amos looks like a panther in the tree. Looks like a real nice enclosure. I have what you call a dog run out back and the cats are pretty good staying inside of it as I get upset when they jump the fence. Cleo being a kitten still is the one that goes hunting, and jumps out. Inside the fence is kept up and sprayed for fleas and ticks but outside it isn't.

Hey, Flumps congratulations to bringing your first mousie to Momma.

Amos, you are a real good looking puddy tat.

Just checked catoftheday and he is real cute. Looks like he is getting ready to sneeze.

The critter enclosure rocks. And the grape by the tail in the other picture looks like it is just begging to be toyed with. Isn't it great how comfy cats always look when they're places they probably shouldn't be? LOL I love all these black cats -- I've always been partial to 'em.

meowmepurr's mumma -- I hesitated putting a picture containing me up there but I thought it might be the nice thing to do. I'm horribly "non-photogenic" but this one wasn't too bad. It was taken July 2005 so it's reasonably recent.

I use Firefox for my web browser and when I see a kitty of the day who has two pictures, I see them stacked. I've figured out, though, that when you all talk about the "left" picture, that's the same as my "top" picture :-)

I'll try hard to get more pictures up. At our first house with Maddie and Kona, we fenced off a small (10'x14') back deck so they could go out and at least get fresh air and watch the backyard go by.

And, finally (I'll shut up now :-)) I tried getting a video clip of Maddie and Kona on their walks yesterday. I'll try to get a sample up on ironcats.

Donna, you are doing great on your web site. It's really coming along nicely. Wish I would get the guts to try one. How many hours a day do you spend getting all the pictures on it?

Anonymous said...

Danielle, hope Jake gets back to his old self soon. I've been VERY lucky to have a cooperative kitten when it comes to taking pills. I took Pumpkin to the vet last Friday to be neutered and I need to give him antibiotic pills twice a day for 5 days. I just cradle him while holding his arms still, pry open his mouth, and poke the pill in the back of his mouth and he'll swallow it. He's back to his normal self and seemed to suffer more from the effects of the anesthetic rather than the surgery itself. Poor baby was really out of it when I brought him home.

Thank you, that's sweet of you. I don't feel like I have enough hours! During the week, it seems I barely have but an hour or two to work on it. Average day: Up at 5:00 am, feed kitties (unless you want paw in your face nonstop). Morning run by 5:30. Work by 8. Home between 4-5 pm. Dinner. Clean-up dinner. ** Work on website if nothing else comes up**. Scoop litter boxes (2) (Bil scoops in the morning, I do it in the evening); get ready for bed and get ready to do it all again the next day :-). To bed between 9-9:30, ideally.

With the pictures, the time-consuming part is that the pictures weren't organized. They're all in various folders and at one point on 2 different computers. So I'm still sorting, trying to organize, and deleting bad ones and duplicates. Using JAlbum to create the album and uploading them is the quick and easy part.

There ya go. More than you probably wanted to know about life with Donna.

By the way, I forgot to mention what a handsome boy Amos is. Very sleek and regal looking. My sister adopted a very friendly stray black cat that's living with us now. Blackie is totally black with big gold eyes too. We call her our Halloween cat. Don't know how old she was when we got her but I think we've had her for 15 years. It's funny how some older cats don't show their age. The fur color doesn't change like it does on dogs and Blackie doesn't have a white hair on her. She's still very active and goes into her running and jumping fits every so often (chasing fairies?)

Okay, I got my foster kitten just a little bit ago. The 5 wk. old, animal control would not release. For what reason, my sponser doesn't know. Anyways, so I have a little grey and cream tabby boy. He is so lovey and demanding of attention. He's very vocal! He has an upper respiratory also, so I'm shutting him in our extra bedroom downstairs to totally seperate him from my guys. He sounds so congested! Poor baby! I can't help but wonder how in the world such a sweet boy as he ended up in Animal Control! I'm gonna see if I can get some more details about him. And I'll get some pix tonight and post him along w/some of my previous fosters tomorrow.

Kat, typically how long do you keep foster kitties? Is simply case-by-case?

niels - amos has the most fascinating eyes. i guess the camera made them glow. either way he is a handsome boy. love the enclosure. would love to have something like that for my babies. thanks for sharing amos w/ us.

Donna, It is pretty much case by case. If alls well and they are kittens, they are spayed/neutered at 2 mos. of age or 2 lbs. and given their 1st shots. After a few days recooperations from their surgery and if there is a spot/cage available at PetsMart, they go up for adoption. Since this little boy I have now is sick, he'll be w/us a little longer. He has to take his meds for 14 days and then an appt. made for his neutering. I had two 4 mos. old kittens, Daisy & Sophia(which I'll be posting on my Flickr box tomorrow) that were scared to death of humans. They came from a cat horder, who kept who knows how many cats/kittens in a big shed in her backyard! She gave them food & water and that was the only human contact they had. Anyway, trying to keep it short, we had Daisy & Sophia for 2 months. So many sad stories I could tell!

Tried to leave a comment from my computer at work, but nothing happeneded when I clicked on the link, so I had to wait til I got home.

I also thought Amos looks like a panther--very powerful.

I'm having trouble keeping up with everyone and keeping straight who has new web sites. Can't figure out how to get my work done, read all of the comments, and chime in with a few of my own.

Emma's Kat said...

ML! You around? Have you checked out your comments on your site? Lol
I left one for ya too!

KC and the Giggleman Kitties said...

Oh, you are all so silly! It's definitely not another fuzz site, although of course the presence of that glorious feline -- with the mighty FB's (rosie) -- might make you think so. Ahem.
It is really a test site, so I could figure out how to answer questions about how to do certain things on blogs -- I know computer programming (by trade), but blogs are a whole different thing.
It would be neat if everyone had their own reference site, where we could click on your name in a message and see the cats, etc.

Anonymous said...

Gosh you sure have a busy life Donna. But you have done very well with what time you have for your web site.

Kat1 God Bless you for keeping the kittens until they are adoptable. Sure hope the little guy with the respiratory problem gets better fast. Every once in awhile Casper gets a cough but the vet back then I took him to said he might do that now and then. But thank the good Lord he has been a healthy sweetie all this time.
