Guiness

This is Guinness. He has all the colors of a fresh drawn pint of Guinness. He is also (believe it or not) a MALE calico. He can be found any hour attached to me like velcro. -Terry

Guinness: A handsome, fluffy, picture purrfect calico! And a little...well, not so little pink nose and mouth to boot! Terry, he looks like a pretty hefty kitty. How big is he? I love his little orange blush! I know...I know!!, it's a boy! Sorry Guinness!

What a wonderful boy. Such beautiful coloring (and unusual for a male) and he has a very "knowing" look, as though he knows his worth and is comfortable with it.

He is so cute!!!! What a fluff ball. Yep another big one. I was under the impression only girls were calico.? I Love the green eyes.

Ah, I love me pint o'Guinness in th' mornin'...(accent sounded more Irish in me head...) Terry, Jealous is ot the word to describe how I feel about not being Guinness' mum! I've come to know that Calico's are my favourite fuzzballs - aside from black on white/tuxedo, black, white, ya get the picture! Claire's right he does have that "I'm too sexy for this pic" confidence! AND A VELCO KITTY!! Couldn't custom order better! Thanks for sharing him with us, Terry!
To All my Fuzz Family - Greetings and have a Blessed day!

Good morning! Guiness is gorgeous. I also thought calicos ("tri-colors?") were only female. I guess that makes Guiness doubly special. Oh he looks so soft. Love the name too.

Good morning! I forgot to say that before! Danielle, yes, most calico's are female. But, there are the exceptions. Like pretty boy Guinness here! Just like most solid orange kitties are male. With my Benji's clan, there were 2 orange girls...2 orange boys, a buff girl and 3 black and grey tabbies...That we could catch. There was a calico we couldn't catch. I would've liked to see if the calico was a boy or girl. Okay! Anyway...lol. I'm ramblin...deal w/it! Lol

What a gorgeous kitty! I've never seen a male calico before-they're very rare. I would love to hug and kiss that Guinness!

He is beautiful! I have only seen one other male calico, and he was born without eyes. He had whiskers a mile long though, and he got around just fine. He was a big beautiful boy too. Your a beauty Guinness!

So Kat, when you say there was a buff girl, was she NAKED?

Good Morning Fuzz Pack, and all.

I think today is a calico da because..... you have to check out www.catoftheday.com to find out.

Aslan (Narnia)? I love that name. Ummm, I've always liked Bodee(sp?) too. Remember the movie, oh what the heck was it called??!! With Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze as surfers. Somebody please help! That's going to drive me nuts till I remember or somebody else remembers!

Anonymous said...

Point something? for the movie.

It's good to hear you're back and everyone is safe. I imagine there will be some adjustments all around! :-)

We'll help you think of a name. We just helped Kat name her newest foster kitty. Have you read through the comments under the Flickr box text?

POINT BREAK! I'll take Patrick Swayze, please.

I think I'll go listen to "CATS" again, that should get my cat-naming gland going!

GS--glad you're back, complete with Baby Boy.

POINT BREAK! Thank you Jan & Donna! 'Nother question: Is the Spanish word for mouth spelled, Boca or Bocca?? I think it's Boca. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'll post a new pic of Boca(sp?) soon. There is such a difference in his eyes. He' so much better!

According to learnspanish-online.com:
"The Spanish word for mouth is boca"

Boca's eyes are better in part because of his medical treatment; and in larger part because of your "love treatment".

A male calico, that is very rare. I have been told that most male calicos die at birth and that a living one is worth a lot of money. Have you had him neutered? It would be worth checking into regarding how rare this is.

Kat, Boca is Spanish, Bocca is Italian (I am 3/4 Italian, how I knew).

Hi, Guinness. The first thing I thought of when I saw your face was STATELY. Then I noticed the same thought hit everyone else here, too. What a beautiful, serene look on his face. Wow. And a Velcro cat at that. Lucky Terry.

Guinness is beautiful - so fluffy and cuddly with lovely colors.

Rita - She's been MIA...from Kat's Cat at least. I just caught her at TDK...lol.

It'll take some time until you get to know Steele's purrsonality. Then you'll think of his name.

GS,
I think waiting a bit is a good idea too. We had a Tonkinese cat who we adopted from a rescue group and named him Simon Says because he was always "talking" to us and the name fit him. Even the name Grey is very sophisticated and somewhat aloof. Love Guinness' name too.

Claire, you said "Grey" and I immediately thought "Gandalf", which is also a cool name. For that matter, The Lord Of The Rings is full of good names.

Has everyone checked out Pet Du Jour? If you haven't...shame on u! It's under my links if you don't know.:)

What a pretty cat. Love his markings. Love white feet. Guinness looks like he is put out because you took his picture.

GS maybe when you are able to post Steele's picture, all of the above might be able to come up with a good name for him. So great of you to go all that way to pick him up.

Guinness is beautiful! He looks proud...as he should be. He also looks like he's waiting for someone to snuggle with him.
