Max

This is my cat Max chilling in the floor after my daughter Nicholle's first birthday party. He gets his name from his unusually loud purring and his size, he out weighs Nicholle at 23lbs. And he is 9 years old this fall. -Bridgritte

Max is wonderful!!!!! I am partial to tabby cats. This picture just makes you smile. He looks as if it'll take quite an effort to get back on his feet. Do you get to eat or does your Max get it all? :)

Max has beautiful markings. 23 pounds is quite an arm full of purring, cuddly love. He looks very sweet.

Good morning! Linda-K, it's good to see ya back around again, although I definately understand being busy! I just love this picture of Max. The posture and expression on his face...and his fluffiness! I know who the little black kitty is...na na na na na! lol...okay, I'll act my age! But, I'll wait and see if Max and Bea...oops, Max's mom visits and let her tell you! I do have pix though!

OMG OMG!!!!!! I love your kitty!!!!!! I want to pick him up and cuddle him and never let go. Look at that belly! His expression is great. He is so cute I can't stop staring. I can't get over him!
:) :) :) :) :)

Happy b-day Nicholle!!!!!

Good Morning Fuzz Pack.

L-K where have you been?

Emma's Kat said...

Danielle, Listen to me...deep breaths...in...out...in...out!! LOL! What everyone doesn't know or maybe they do, is that Danielle has an obsession with fluffy kitties!

Max looks to be quite a character. And yes, wow, 23 pounds?

Hi Max!

I'm also looking forward to seeing the kitty off on stage-right (or is it left). :-)

Morning everyone! It's Friday, yay.

danielle said...

I know I know. My obsession just has taken me over with this kitty.

L-K that sounds very time consuming. Hope it goes well for you.

GS!!!! You left us hanging!! What about the momma cat and kittens???????????????????!!!!!!

Emma's Kat said...

That's great GS, that you're doing that! Definately the right age for ferral babies. You can't wait too long or you won't, like you said, be able to touch them. They learn early to be afraid! I wish we lived closer, I'd help w/finding homes for sure! Good luck! Keep us updated!

Kiiimmmm! Where are you? I know...I'm J/K. I know you're busy.

GS, what's the answer to your question from yesterday???? I haven't a clue. Kim, you might know. What movie from the '80's is a cat named Roo (sp? Ryu?) from? It's a big cat and it has special powers. Right, GS?

Anonymous said...

What a big boy. He sure looks soft and cuddly though. Markings sure are pretty. Handsome Max.

I was wondering where Kim was also. Was checking yesterdays comments and she wasn't there either. When I came back on to Max's site, Kat1 you must have been reading my mind as you beat me to the punch.

Oh Max, aren't you a BIG beautiful boy!! My mother's Cleopatra could be your (not much)smaller sister. She only(!) weighs 18 lbs. as of last week.

Happy Birthday Nicholle--looks like you got a pretty good haul there. I see the black cat to the right, but is that Walter the Farting Dog behind her?

Paul sez that sometimes I am an 8 year old boy--Walter and his book have gone to my 5 year old great-nephew and 4 year old twins(who have a rather prissy grandmother). Egan brings Walter back and forth on the plane from Hawaii--and makes his Dad read the book on the flight(heehee).

KAREN C.--last night you said that you grew up in a small town in Upstate New York--where, Please. I was born in Syracuse and spent my early years(and many summers) in Cazenovia.

KATHLEEN--Himis will steal your heart in an instant--I've been owned by 3 of them. If one adopts you, try for a doll-face(with some nose), rather than a peke-face(truly flat-faced). The Pekes tend to have breathing issues and can have lung problems. Himis are also high maintainance cats--if not brushed every day, they get mats. They get mats even if you do brush them every day ::sigh::

Max is so sweet looking, hope we get to meet the black one soon.

Purrs to all--

HELLO FUZZ PACK!!!! I'm back and very happy to be home!!!

OK, I LOVE MAX!!! What a boy! I love his pose, it probably feels good to stretch his back this way. 23 lbs is a whole lotta kitty! I want to nuzzle his face and rub his tummy! I also really like his name!

OK, I'm stumped on the name Roo. That's a first for me as I'm pretty much up on my Disney. I'll have to give it some more thought. How about Simon for a name? Of course, you have to remember that I named my cat Oscar, I also had an Arthur. Formal names are just a thing with me. How about Toulouse? Man, that Roo thing is getting to me!

OK, now. The reason I was gone, and Kat knows this, is that my 6 year old son had bowel surgery on Monday. We just got home from the hospital. No worries though, he did great. He has Spina Bifida and this was his 16th surgery. SO that's why I've been gone.

Kat told me about what I've missed. I'm glad all of you are well. I've enjoyed looking over the kitties from the last few days and seeing all that I've missed. Miiru and Shadow's stories were especially touching. I'm so glad that their stories were shared! We have such a wonderful support system here!!!

I know I've forgotten something. Anyway, it's good to be back. Anyone know if Katnippia has made it to Florida yet?

Meowmepurr's Mumma said...

GS--Is it BATTLE CAT???, or one of the THUNDERCATS?? I used to watch both of those when I was young(in my 30's!).

My Paul was born in Port Chester as well, and no, it's not Upstate! It's on the border between NY and CT, on Long Island Sound!!

KIM--Welcome home!! Glad things went well and you and your son are home and safe. Katnippia has not checked in publically--KAT, have you heard from her?

Meowmepurr's Mumma said...

GS-'bout the only thing Port Chester is "upstate" from is Long Island(LOL)

Emma's Kat said...

Jan, I haven't heard from her yet. Was going to email her, but thought better of it, as I know she's moving.

Emma's Kat said...

BTW, Kim just pointed out the adorable kitten on Kitten Picture. Have you gals seen him!? Adorable! And Boca says hi and gives purrs to all! He is feeling good enough to come out for a little bit. He's no longer sneezing and sniffling, And he's FULL of energy! I think he's just so happy to be out of that room and feeling better. I'll get some pix soon and post them on the Flickr box.

OMG! I love him...he looks like my Harry (who I lost in 2001). Harry was a big boy too, I used to call him my "Hunka, Hunka Burning Love", and he would come running. Anyway, back to Max...he is a handsome guy, I want to pick him up and hold him like a baby and squeeze him. Speaking of weight, my mom has a 22lb guy named George (I need to send pics) and he is as healthy as can be, you should see him climb up the cat tree, quick as a shot. Anyway, back to Max, give him a kiss and scratch under the chin for me!

Emma's Kat said...

Riquel, Do you remember the rule here at Kat's Cat!!?? You mention a kitty cat and you have to send pix for us to see! lol

Meowmepurr's Mumma said...

KARENC.--Oh to be home again. I've lived all over the country, but Caz is still "home!" I hauled out my Road Atlas again and found both Dansville and Lyons. My grandmother was raised in Geneva, and my Mom went to Wells College in East Aurora. Also, we spent a lot of time at Watkins Glen, because my Dad was involved in sports car racing most of his life.

KAT-if Paul won't let my take the camera to Tucson with me, I'll buy another so that I can send pictures of Mom's Mob to you and GS!

Emma's Kat said...

That would be great, Jan!

Anonymous said...

I know....I think I am up to 5 pictures so far...LOL. I have a picture of George and Harry...but the 3 that actually belong to me, won't sit still for the camera, or they try to play with the little cord hanging off it....geesh! YOu will have some very soon. :o)

Hi Karen, I don't remember where Jan is (she'll let us know) but I'm in Bellingham north of the Seattle/Bainbridge Island area, just 25-30 miles south of Canada. It is very pretty up here, but you do have to get used to quite a bit of gray. We don't get tons of rain like everyone thinks we do. We just get *lots* of gray, drizzly damp days. But when it gets nice here, oh my gosh, it's mind-bogglingly beautiful. We've got the sound to the west and the Cascades to the east. Lots to see and do.

I'm afraid, though, that I don't know a whole lot about Bainbridge Island.

...ahe...ahem...I'm here...........

'do you mind,I've just eaten?'FUZZ.

Meowmepurr's Mumma said...

KAREN-- I'm down in Southwest Washington, just North of Portland, Oregon. I love it down here, not as crowded as around Seattle. As for Bainbridge, the only way I could afford to buy there was if I had sold property in California. In Washington-speak, it's spendy up there, and that's before you commute by ferry to Seattle.

We call it "Liquid Sunshine," and there is a LOT of it here on the West side of the mountains. 34 days straight in Olympia this winter; I know because my nephew, from Tucson, goes to school there.

HeeHee, every time I look at Max, he makes me giggle!!

I'm out of here for about 6 hours, so see you easterners tomorrow--I'll catch up with the Left-Coasters later!!

KC and the Giggleman Kitties said...

Oh, I love Max. What a big ol' sweetheart. He reminds me so of Missy, except he outweighs her by 9 pounds.
Just think, together Max and Missy would weigh in at 32 pounds of tabby!
What color are Max's eyes?
Well, I am certainly feeling sad, reading about the wonderful places everybody lives. The East coast sounds divine, and Washington State or Oregon would be a dream come true (I could see whales). I'm down here on the Gulf of Mexico, thirty miles from Galveston Bay, with the giant skeeters (mosquitos -- our state bird), snakes and gators. Sigh.

KC and the Giggleman Kitties said...

See, I am so distracted about your locations, I can't even add. Duh. Together, they would be a delightful 38 pounds of tabby (Missy = 15 and Max = 23). Ummm, can you imagine holding both of them or snuggling up to them at night.

Anonymous said...

LOL Mary Lynn. My 24-pounds total of 2 kitties pin me in during the night sometimes--one on each side of me--and I may as well be a mummy for as much as I can move! Of course, I love it. I just weighed them tonight. Kona @ 12.4 pounds and Wiley @ 11.8 pounds. Maddie weighs in at 10.4 pounds.

Anonymous said...

o my god he is so cuite i have 7 and riquel forgat to tee u about them

KC and the Giggleman Kitties said...

Hi Donna,
Don't know if I mentioned it, but really enjoyed your pages about your cats. I like Wiley especially, how she found you and how you all kept her. And of course, Maddie and Kona are gorgeous -- I am partial to black cats. And tabbies. And calicos. Oh and ginger cats. To think I used to be terrified of cats. Ha-ha.

I don't know if anyone will read this, but since Max's mom didn't comment today...Bear Cat is the little black kitty we can't quite see in the pic. He will be posted in a couple of weeks.

Goodnight all!
