This site was created with The Daily Kitten in mind. I as many others, wanted a site for adult cats too. So here it is. Please click on the link below and send pictures of your grown-up kitties. I will pick and choose a different cat to post everyday. Thanks and enjoy! Kudos to ML!!

What greater gift than the love of a cat? -Charles Dickens

Good morning! Sir Walter DeKatt...what a great name. My Sir Walter, what a long tongue you have! Does he have a nickname? What does he go by? Walt? Guiness, Walter's buddy was posted 5/3.
KISS Fuzz ...Gene Simmons? Long tongue? You catch my drift!?
Good Morning!!! I love Sir Walter's name. He is so beautiful and has the prettiest black eyeliner! LOL! He looks very snuggle worthy! My, he really is a beautiful cat! His face is so full of character!
Yes Kat, caught your drift! LOL!
Kim, he's definately a Kiss fan. With the eyeliner and looks like some white eyeshadow around his eyes too. You are handsome Sir Walter. I'm just teasing about the whole Kiss thing! lol
How cute. What a perfect picture, he could be a model for a cat food ad. Sir Walter, you are adorable.
kat1 - he does look like a kiss kitty with that tongue. does knowing about kiss date us? they were popular in the late 70's. LOL
terry - love the names of your kitties. so original. how did you ever catch sir walter with his tongue out? my kitties all stop whatever they are doing if they think i have the camera out.they want to see what i am doing. action shots are tough. sir walter is even looking straight at the camera. is he a ham? i love that look on his face, especially the eyes. wow!
Morning, and Hello Sir Walter DeKatt!
Oh I just love his name. And what a lucky catch in the photo of his tongue. Another super-soft-looking fuzzy friend.
Morning All!
Sir Walter does indeed look like a KISS Cat. Those piercing eyes. Wow. Love that pink nose, too. And the "live action" tongue...how did you ever do that??? My experience with photographing cats is just like Momsbusy...unless the cat is asleep. Even then....a little eye will open!
Now I'll have to check the other kitty posted, Sir Walter's roommate, and hopefully we will be seeing the third member as well.
Hi Mom! OK, as you said, this may be dating myself but...my very first record album that I ever purchased was...KISS Alive 2! I loved the song BETH! How old was I? Lets just say it was in the mid 70s! LOL!!!
I love Sir Walter's eyes and the "sacred cat" markings around them - also his pink nose and that incredibly rich fur - also his little teeth.
Question: am I the only person who loves to see a kitty open his mouth because those tiny teeth are so cute? Am I demented or just besotted with cats?
Aren't we all here because we are besotted with cats?!?--Besides, Evil James is demented, none of us are!!
Sir Walter is just beautiful! Besides tuxedos, calicos, Himis and all the rest, I love Coonies!!
One of my friends is talking to a breeder about British Shorthairs. I'm trying to convince him to find a nice shelter baby and donate that obcene amount of money to the local no-kill! (Obvoiusly I can't spell this morrning, and I'm still to sleepy to care!)
I was reading comments aloud to Paul the other night; he sighed and gave that head shake that usually means Crazy Woman..what next. So I asked him if we were crazy, "No, just VERY SILLY sometimes!" I did point out that very silly is good for us--all the giggles release endorphans(?) that keep us young!
Good word, bluejay! Besotted...No you're not demented! I too think kitty teeth are cute!
That's a great shot!
Good Morning Everyone!
Sir Walter, you are a very handsome boy. I think it's cute when they lick there lil mouths after eating. I have one of Pounce with her mouth open. I'll email it to you kat1 when i get my outlook working right.
Gheeri's servent- i say the canines should be called catnines, lol see. Your right those who love cats are silly, but in a good way.
Sir Walter is might handsome! He has the longest tongue I have ever seen on a cat! How cool was it to be able to snap the picture in time to get that great shot! Too funny!
"I wanna rock and roll all night..."
What a great pic! Sir Walter is such a handsome boy! I love his name too, it looks like it fits him purrfectly - a distinquished name for a distinquished kitty! He is so fluffy makes you just wanna hug and snuggle all that fluffiness! LOL
ok gals. you know you are dating yourself when you purchased vinyl albums! kids today do not even know what a record player is. most don't even know what 8 tracks are. some can barely remember cassettes. i am glad i still have a memory that can recall these items. LOL
Thank you all for reassuring me!
GS, I don't think you're demented at all. Several of my cats have liked to play-nibble on my fingers, and I've always thought it was fun too. I admit it has to be done carefully so that they don't nip by accident.
Katnippia, good idea! Geoffrey now has catnines.
Mom, here's even more dating, my parents had a van with green shag carpet and an 8 track. We also had a CB radio. My sister and I would sit in our van and listen to the Xanadu soundtrack. Whenever a good song came on, we would turn on the PA on the CB and play it for the neighborhood!! LOL! Boy, that really brings back some memories! And how about this? I had on an Eagles concert shirt. This kid told me he liked my cool retro shirt and asked where I had gotten it from. I blushed and told him that I bought it at the concert! HAHA!
I love kitty nibbles after they yawn! It's the breath that kills me! LOL!
I never had a car of my own until I was up in my twenties, so the car itself isn't so dating. (It was a used Maverick.) The first car I remember my parents buying was a gray and maroon Studebaker.
I don't think the rest of the Fuzz Lovers are old at all! :)
Sorry! I didn't mean to post anonymously. Must have been a senior moment.
Anonymous, must remember to identify yourself. It's no fair being anonymous...lol! Karen, I'll be 32 this December. And my husband used to have a used POS OLD Econoline. We used to call it the...ummmm, what was the Scooby Doo van called?!! Man!!, Kim here I go again! It did have a name didn't it?! ANYWAY! The van was old! My 1st car was a Hyandai w/a sunroof. Another POS. We had to put oil in it every week it leaked oil so bad! But hay! It got us where we needed to go!
Karen C. You are just a youngster. I'll be 60 in August and probably not the oldest who enjoys this site every day. My first car was a 1967 MGB but I saved a long time for it.
karen c. - my first car was a 1974 dodge dart sport (plymouth duster look alike). i thought i was really cool in that car. it did have a am/fm radio but alas no 8 track.:( how dated am i? i graduated from high school in 1978. i will turn 46 this year!
kat1 - schooby had the mystery machine
i mean scooby
The "Mystery Machine" was the van on Scooby Doo!
My first car was a 1974 American Motors Matador....ugg! And that was in 1990, so you know I was one of the really "cool" kids...LOL
riquel - those matadors weren't even popular when they came out. i feel sorry for you, having to drive that old thing.
You beat me to it Mom! LOL!
I'm 37. My first car was a 78 Chevy Malibu that we lovingly called the Smurf Mobile. It was the ugliest shade of SMURF BLUE!!! I was in high school and the only one of my friends with a car. Needless to say I was the designated driver!
Well Ladies, I'm out of here for the weekend! Have a great time and I'll be seeing you all on Monday! Kiss the kitties for me!
Well, I'm 46 as of last March (Pisces). My first car was a 1974 Honda Civic Hatchback that I bought from my parents. They let me pay them $100/month. The car I had been driving was needed to teach my 1-year-younger sister. She got to keep that car for free!
That first car (I loved it BTW, 4-speed manual transmission with a *choke* to help start it) was totaled when I was rear-ended by a couple of girls who didn't notice that those of us in front of her were stopped at a red light.
So my second car was a 1978 Honda Civic Hatchback (manual tranny, with choke) that I bought from my parents, again. It's the one they bought to replace the '74 I bought from them.
I traded in the '78 for a brand-spanking new 1988 Honda Civic Sedan (5-speed manual, no choke!) and drove that until I sold it ~1996 with 117k miles on it.
My current Honda is a 2000 Honda Civic Sedan.
The Mystery Machine!! I could not think of it to save my life! Yeah, me and my hubby joked we would fix it up like the Mystery Machine w/the little bubble windows, paint job and all!
Hi everyone!
Sir Walter projects puursonality through that camera lens, doesn't he?? Gotta love the tongue! Isn't the Rolling Stones logo a long tongue? "Classic Rock FUZZ"!
We're discussing who remembers what about 8-tracks and first cars?? I didn't get an 8-track until my 2nd car which was a 1970 white Mustang with a black vinyl roof! LOVED that car!! My first record was a 45 rpm, actually, I got 2 45's with a portable turntable with built in speakers that after a few months would skip horribly until my brother balanced a pack of cigarettes (yuck-always hated them!) on the arm...the "tunes" were 'Let's Dance" and "You Can't Sit Down"...I guess I was about 4 or 5...we had a pair of Siamese cats around then that would *decide together* what mischief they would get into...both climbed the draperies together, and my favorite event was when they snuck up on my oldest ~terroristic~ brother while he was on the phone with no shirt on, and decided they wanted to eavesdrop on the conversation...one jumped onto the counter while the other jumped right onto his shoulder from the floor, c l a w i n g his way up!
My brother, who is vicious towards cats, swore he was going to twist their necks if he ever caught them. But, gosh did I love watching those cats in action! Doing to the bully what I was too scared too...my parents were "pressured" to give them away, and they went to a farm of an Italian family we knew...indoor purebred cats expected to be mousers...one was killed by a car about 3 months after we gave them away, and the other died a few days later, my mother told me of a broken heart. I'm mad at myself for not remembering their names.
Sorry for the long post, but I love this site because no one seems to mind a "Ramblin' Rose"
now and again! Okay, to pinpoint my age, the song that was in the top 10 on the AM DIAL in the year I was born was "Get a Job"...trivia, anyone?? ;))
I felt sorry for me to mom, I still wake up screaming from the nightmares!! LOL
Claire, you and I are almost exactly the same age! Proves we're never too old to appreciate the good things - like cats. I hope you wear purple whenever you can. (I'm expecting a fellow "mature" person to get that ;))
Rose, that is so sad and I'm so sorry. It also makes me angry that you had to go through that. I've heard of so many people who had their pets taken away from them. Why don't people understand how that breaks a kid's heart?
O my god nothing but oldes on her iam 58 and 3/4 young lol Riquel u know u loved your first car lol
Hi Bluejay,
I do get your reference to purple and red hats, haven't done it yet though.
Yes, Rose's story was very sad and I can't understand how some feel that pets are "things". Sometimes animals have to leave their family due to allergies, etc. but one would hope that a good home would be found-not expecting house cats to adapt to the outdoors.
Hope all have a safe and happy weekend. See you all on Monday.
OH ROSE, how sad and, even now, angry-making!! That brother would not be my favorite!
I, too, had 45's, a turntable, and my first 3 or 4 cars had AM only radios! My VERY first car was a (used)1959 Triumph Herald convertible. It was the cheapest and slowest Triumph ever made, but being a convertible made it cool. I could put 7 teens in it, so long as 2 or 3 sat up on the back of the back seat(top down only). We would do "Chinese Fire Drills" at stop lights--does anyone remember those? If there were 4 of us in it I had to pick entrance ramps onto the Connecticut Turnpike(Toll Road-no Interstates yet)- I couldn't make it to the minimum speed on an uphill ramp!
The car I'm driving now is the 1st Automatic transmission I've ever bought. Paul gave up manuals a while ago--but my "Summer Car" still is a 5 speed--with a choke, DONNA. The little car is a 1984 Mazda RX-7, which I bought new, as my 35th birthday present to myself. I still love it and love to drive it, but since it is silver, it disappears into the background for about 8 months of the year here in the Beautiful Northwest! I got tired of getting the snot scared out of me on a regular basis, plus my knees hurt alot in the winter. So now I have a 5 year old Toyota Highlander for winter and hauling stuff(and Mother), and the Rice Rocket for ratting around.
Time to get back to racing--it's on all day today and evening(yipee!!). And yes, I did finally finish watching the Cup race from last weekend!!
Nice to know someone else had a car with a choke :-)
In college in San Diego, I rented a room over a garage from a family. One morning, the dad needed to move my car, so he borrowed my keys to do it himself (even though I offered). He couldn't get it started! I finally had to yell out the window to him about pulling out the choke. Quite funny at the time.
...ahem...here I am................
"Just try and keep me down!" FUZZ.
ahem....schnoort.....who is the fuzz in the FB Box with the Dracula teeth and the cross-eyes? He's 'Captain Liptits'.
Rosie, Are you referring to Silvestre from TDK?? He has bodacious LT's like Boca! Boca, BTW got his snip done today and is well, except for he still has the wobbles. The anesthesia still hasn't totally worn off! Kinda funny! Sorry Boca, we love you and your LT's !!
What a very handsome cat Sir Walter DeKat is. He is laughing out loud at everyone. Really cute.
Well Fuzz Pack, my very first car was a 1950 Henry J if you ever knew what that was. Hated it. My dream car was my 1956 Belair hardtop convertible Chevy. Sure wish I had that sucker now. It was two years old when I got it. I had graduated already from high school and was working. I'm going to let you do the math.
Rosie (who else) love your comments. They are really wild.
If you look at Casper's picture there are two black lines going down from his mouth that could look like dracula's teeth. Never really saw that before.
Had to go check Casper out, had to be shadows or indentation of the fur as he doesn't have the lines. He didn't like me bothering him much and looking at his mouth. Funny!!!
Rosie, wouldn't have even noticed until your comment. Still funny!!
Duh, I obviously didn't look too carefully. Casper is definately who Rosie's referring to. Thanks Karen...lol, sorry just laughing at Rosie's comment again...Captain Liptits.
Mom, tried to post a comment on your blog site but I have to have a blog site of my own to do it. I have been thinking about doing one but so far haven't. So if Kat1 doesn't mind I will tell you that I am glad the your daughter is doing well after her surgery and hope your Mom gets better real soon and hope you don't get lonely at work for six weeks. And that it sounds like you got your 52 Ford around the same time I got my 56 Chevy. Take care and God Bless.
Sorry Kat1 for taking up space here.
Very nice site! » » »
