Zeus & Betty

Here is Zeus at about 7 months, black & white bobtail, with his adopted sister Betty, black with a white bib, who is of undetermined age. She is quite a bitty thing we rescused from a shelter, but she rules. They have bonded, and now always sleep together. I love having them both around. -Susan S.

Good morning everyone! And Happy Mom's Day!! I love how Betty's tail is wrapped around Zeus's legs! Cute! Shame we can't see Zeus's tail, or lack there of I should say!

ML, Go to www.rainbowsbridge.com Bring you a tissue!

Kathleen, Definately normal that Rosie is hiding. It's great that she is coming out and showing you affection. When she' comfortable w/all the new noises and surroundings, she will come out more and more. Everything is so new and probably a lot quieter that where she was. Again, I'm so happy for you! What a great Mom's Day present!!

Hi Zeus! I feel like he's staring at me as I type! LOL!

What a beautiful tangle of kitties. Hi, Zeus -- Hi, Betty. What beauties.
Am so happy for Kathleen's new addition, just want pictures, shaved or not, of Rosie the Persian. Very happy for you, sounds like it is going to be a great relationship since she is already coming out to see you.
I'll check that website out later, Kat, when I'm feeling a bit too happy (ha-ha), kinda have a feeling what it might be.
Happy Mother's Day to everyone...fuzzy mothers too.

Happy Mother's Day and a fine good morning to all!!!

Hello Zeus and Betty! I just love the name Betty! These two are quite the pair! Yeah Kat, that tail around the legs thing is just adorable!!!! It's so nice to see kitties sleeping in a tangle like this. They're very sweet and very pretty!

Hi Kathleen, I left you a message kind of late last night on Binx's page. I'm happy Rosie is coming out for love and a bit of "getting to know you" time. Yes, hiding is normal. She feels safe and in control of her surroundings while under the bad. Give her some time, but it sounds like she's already feeling more at ease.

susan - i love the way zeus and betty are tangled up together. it really warms the heart to see your babies so trusting and comfortable together.

i love bobtails. we had a momma cat we adopted b/c she was pregnant and her family couldn't ship back to the states. the airlines wouldn't allow mommas to be. she was part saimese and part japanese bobtail. looked saimese w/ white tips on her paws and a half length tail that had a 2" long crook on the end. her name was tipsy and she was a great cat. sorry guys no pic of her as this was when i was a child (a long, long time ago LOL) and before i got the camera bug.

someday i'll tell ya'll about stubby. i may be able to find a pic of her. gotta look first or kat1 might ban me from this site. LOL

Happy Mother's Day All.

Susan thanks for sharing Zeus and Betty with all of us. What a pair? Looks like the two might have just got done playing and are resting. Betty looks like black velvet. So nice that they get along so well.

Thanks for the tip on Rainbow Bridge. My friend just had to put down her dog and is still upset. I will be sending her a rainbow bridge sympathy card a little later today. It sure is nice that there is a site like this for people to go to when their fuzzies have passed on. So nice a person has taken time to have a site like this.

.........I love the picture of these duzzas....and it also brings to my attention ANOTHER favourite body part........their back feet; they look like golf clubs!.........

12-Iron FUZZ.

Oh, I love the big back feet. If I try to rub Missy's tummy, she kicks those big ol' rear paws up into action. Just too cute. Someone called it "bicycling". Just another neat thing about cats.
Between Zeus and Betty, I see two white paws and one black paw. And a tail.

Hi Everyone, and Happy Mothering Sunday!
Kathleen, I'm so HAPPY for you and Rosie!! So, she's had enough seclusion and needs her mum's company?! Fantastic, girlfriend!!
Can't wait to see a pic of her!!
Enjoy Rosie, and let her know about Shadow, because I think that pets at the Rainbow Bridge help new fuzzbabies find the best home that they could imagine...and that's you!

Happy Mother's Day everyone -- fuzz and non-fuzz.

Zeus and Betty are wonderful. Mixing up their blacks and whites just looks perfect. Thanks, Susan, for sharing them.

Kathleen, I am so happy you were "picked" by a kitty in need of a forever home and forever love. She's now established that under the bed is her emergency sanctuary and now she is ready to come out and take over the rest of the house.

Have any of you read "Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul"? It's a wonderful book comprised of individual and ostensibly true stories about cats. But have a full box of tissue at hand. The stories are so heartwarming and touching that even the happy ones can make you (OK, me) cry. And the chapter on losing a friend, though difficult to read, is still excellently handled.

Rosie, me too. Hopefully she'll get her stuff together and get her computer set up way out there in the booneys! BTW, I'm gonna buy you a big tub of vaseline for those irritating hairballs of yours!

Donna, I have read the Chicken Soup for Cat Lovers! Great book! I have a copy that I'll have to get out and read again. It's been a long time since I read it. Has anyone read the book about, oh what's the doggies name! She's a little Toto looking dog that helps her owners care for and rescue kitties. Another great book!

Oscar the Puppy Cat said...

No Kat but it sounds sweet! Sounds like a good one for bedtime reading for the kiddos!

Kim - The book on the little dog, named Jenny, who helps her owner rescue kitties is a true story. I'll try an find something online and send it to you, unless you know what I'm talking about. It's a little much and would probably bore the kiddies.

Karen - Z & B's Susan is not the same Susan who owns Jonty. Two different Susan S.'s. lol
