Zoiee

This is Zoiee. We gave her to Marnie, my hubby's sister, for Christmas 11 years ago? She passed away (Marnie had to put her to sleep) almost 2 years ago due to complications unknown. She stopped eating and the vet didn't know what was wrong and she basically starved to death. Marnie will tell you, if she comes on, that she thinks she killed Zoiee from emotional neglect. But, I don't think so. Zoiee might of been upset from new additions to the family (baby, dog), etc., but that wouldn't of made her stop eating. Anyway, Marnie misses her dearly. She went everywhere w/Marnie. Traveling/camping/canoeing/hiking...you name it Zoiee did it. -Marnie S., NC

Good morning! Hi Zoiee girl...RIP! I will tell you right off, Zoiee was a....no-nonsense kinda girl! lol She loved her momma and didn't take any crap from anyone else! Didn't take much of anything crap or otherwise from anyone! But Marnie loved her and she was a good cat...for Zoiee. She went everywhere w/Marnie!! Hopefully Marnie will come on and clarify anything I've gotten mixed up or wrong on her post! I will call her and tell her she has been posted. Anyway, Zoiee girl, you are missed...er, by your momma that is! :)

Good Morning All!

Marnie, your Zoiee was a very beautiful cat! I see she loved sitting in the boat, adventure kitty! My Arthur stopped eating, grooming, etc. The vet said that there was nothing wrong, it was just his time. I breaks my heart that you feel she gave up from emotional neglect. It sounds to me like you were/are a wonderful Momma! You and your Zoiee had some wonderful times together those times will love on in your heart! Thank you so much for sharing your sweet kitty with us!

What a pretty girl she was and Marnie needs to know that she give Zoiee lots of love and attention, she knew she was loved. We all go through guilt when we have to make decisions about our beloved cats but she did what was best for Zoiee. Please know that we all understand how hard it was but you were a very good Mom, Marnie, with some wonderful memories.

Zoiee was a beautiful girl. I would love to have met one that goes canoeing and all sorts of other things. She must have been a blast. You were lucky to have her. Just don't forget the good times.

Jake is back at the vets. He is jaundice. The vet said the best case is that he has a blood parasite. The worst case is liver problems. She also said this is worse than the crystals. I am so scared right now. They won't have answers until Thursday. I will let everyone know when I do. Thanks everyone for your support.

Morning everyone!
Hi Zoiee!
Zoiee looks like a beautiful kitty. I do love B&W kitties. And that is just so cool that she did all that traveling. I wish I could take ours like that.

Danielle, please know that you and Jakey are in our thoughts and we're all hoping for the best.

Anonymous said...

Zoiee was beautiful. How cool was it to have a cat you could take with you everywhere? A cat on a boat, never would have dreamed it. Marnie, don't beat yourself up over her death, it was just her time.

Danielle, I hope Jake gets to feeling better, I know what it is like to have a sick baby on your hands, especially when you don't know what or why. I will be thinking of you two, and hoping for the best.

Anonymous said...

Marnie, it's so sad that the lovely Zoiee is gone, but please don't blame yourself. Kitties can get mysterious illnesses, just as people can. It's not uncommon for an animal - or a person - to stop eating when they sense that it's time.

Danielle, I'm sorry that Jake is ill again. Best of luck. I'll be thinking of you.

On the lighter side you have to check out cute overload.

Zoiee was such a striking beauty. Look at the markings on her face. And what a wonderful thing, to have an "adventure cat". There are probably not a lot of those around. You were very lucky she chose to share her time with you. Marnie, I have heard also that cats and dogs know when it is their time. She definitely would not want you to feel guilt -- you know that. You also know that adventuresome kitty is waiting for you for more adventures, later on. Just cherish the time you had together. And remember how lucky you were to have had such a neat cat. I would certainly love to hear more about her adventures with you.

And Danielle, you and Jake are in all our hearts and prayers today. Missy just jumped up and put her paw on the keyboard, I know she's feeling the same.

Zoiee was beautiful. Marnie, you were a great "mommy", it was just time for Zoiee to go to Kitty Heaven. I know you miss her. I have lost a cat before and I am so sorry for you loss.

Danielle, Grace & Company, as well as my whole family, are praying for Jake. Please keep us posted as to how he is doing.

Donna! I'm guess today is the last time you'll be on before you leave. I don't know how often you'll check in today, I imagine you'll be busy packing and everything, for your trip. I hope you have a wonderful trip and a great time. I hope you do well in your marathon. More importantly, I hope your trip is a safe one. We look forward to seeing pictures on your site. We're going to miss you while you're away! Take Care.

danielle said...

Yes Donna have a great time don't forget the pictures. Good luck to the both of you!!!!!!!!!
You will be missed.

Anonymous said...

Thanks everyone for the trip wishes.

This is probably the last chance I'll really have to check in (or at least to take the time to post anything). Last night was so busy and today looks to be just as. And of course work decided that today would be a good deadline for something to get done. Sigh.

I'm hoping that when I get back I will read all about who will be adopting Grace and Pete and Foster and how Rose's meeting with Brutus and Marigold will have gone and how they're doing.

And I truly hope to hear good news about Jake. I'll be thinking about him.

I've taken a few pictures of our babies to have on my camera's storage card so that I can look at them throughout our trip! I already miss them and we haven't even left yet. My babies.

Silly, "curmudgeony" Maddie who *never* sleeps with us (probably because Kona and Wiley have staked out our bed), has slept on the bed with my sister! So cool.

Everyone have a safe, fuzzy couple of weeks. This may sound odd since we've never all actually met, but I'm going to miss you :-) Take care everyone. Lots of purrs and snuggles all around.

Hey all, I forgot to mention that Danielle played a big part in Kathy from VA, responding to the comment of TDK about Grace and her kitties. She had the original comment and I added onto it. So thanks to Danni too. So much going on with her and she still finds time to help others!

..........today everything is so depressing....I am not posting....

Anonymous said...

Marnie you have had a wonderful time with Zoiee. It is so unusual for a cat to travel like Zoiee has. Please don't feel it is your fault that it was time for her to go to the Rainbow Bridge. I have felt like that with some of my pets that I have had to put down also but when you give them so much love, and I know you did with Zoiee, they have had a great life. Sometimes life is just not fair even for out pets or just for animals in general as well with all of us. Love the picture with Zoiee on the dashboard of the car.

Like right now I feel terrible that I can't find out why Amber is bleeding. She has old age growths and she bites on some of them and makes them bleed and I just found out that is not the problem. The other day when I was brushing her I leaned on her rear and my arm had blood on it and yesterday my husband noticed how dark it was where she urinates. I took a paper towel and wiped her and there was blood. Her bedding has had blood on it. I took her to the vet this morning and he is treating her for a bladder infection, but he could not find the source of blood. So now Danielle I really know how you feel not knowing exactly what is wrong as if she doesn't respond to this treatment it could be anything giving what her age is.

Anonymous said...

Sorry about more depressing news. Sorry Rosie, know what you mean, but yet there is good news with another kitten being adopted from Grace's litter.

danielle said...

Oh my god Casper's mom. I hope it is nothing serious. I hope she responds well to the treatment. I will keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers. Purrs and huggles fron Jake and spot sent your way.

Oscar the Puppy Cat said...

Monica, you're Monica right? I have trouble keeping up with who's who. Casper's Mom, I'm so sorry! I really hope that the meds she's being treated with will help clear up the blood as well. Did the vet think it might be from the infection? I know with a bad UTI, there can sometimes be blood. PLEASE let us know how it goes. Give Amber lots of love from Oscar and Simon. I'm sending her hugs and prayers as well.

Our kitty family is hurting. We love and support you all!!!!

Anonymous said...

Caspar's Mom, you must be terribly worried. I do hope Amber is OK soon. Hang in there. I'm sure everyone here is sending you their best.

Anonymous said...

Yes Kim I am Monica. Vet didn't know for sure if it was an infection. Amber wouldn't give them an urine sample I think he was just going by what I was telling him the symptoms I have observed. I sure am praying this will help, Vet said that if it isn't an infection it could be a tumor blocking the bladder, could be cancer. When she urinates it takes three or four trys before she gets done. Thank you all for your hugs and prayers. I really do appreciate them.

Anonymous said...

Dear Casper's mom, I also hope all goes well with Amber. My prayer list is very long but also very sincere and I hope all goes well for you, Amber and Danielle and Jake.

Anonymous said...

Karen, Amber is my dog but she is still a fuzzy one. And thanks for purrs and prayers, cause to tell you the truth with having so many cats around her she probably thinks she is one also. Sure hope it's O.K. to have a doggy on this site. Guess I should have put this on PDJ as GS featured Amber not long ago. Thanks again to GS.

Oscar the Puppy Cat said...

Now Monica, you know what Kat would say about that!!! We talk about her Sammie at times. Sammie is her dog! And I remember Amber from GS site. She's still part of our kitty family!

Anonymous said...

That's O.K. Karen I do the same. Can't remember names worth a darn. All of you are so great. It's nice to be with such a great fuzz pack.

Anonymous said...

Oooops, got to say Amber's Mom too!!

Anonymous said...

Hello to everyone! Caspar's Mom: My cat "Sam" has had several severe bladder infections, with the symptoms you mentioned. He went on antibiotics and was fine in a few days. He even took his pills like a champ! So, Amber (even though she is not a feline) will hopefully have the same happy result. All ten cats in my house send good thoughts your way. Actually, I have decided that Pete & Foster should be adopted together, since they are so strongly bonded. I won't be moving until late July and I need forever homes for them before that. So, officially, only Brutus & Marigold have forever homes. Still working on the others. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE! Get well Amber & Jake, we are praying for you both!

The Royals and Gentleman Beau said...

Hi Everyone! Yeah, today is "have a day" day...I just learned my best friend David is moving at the end of June...had an inkling, and that alone cut my heart in half, but to have it confirmed, well...::sniff::sniff::

HOWEVER!! For My Marigold and Brutus to have a sibling in Richmond, VA is AWESOME!! Any choices yet?? I'll bet...Pete!
No, Foster's too handsome, but Pete
is too and--uhh--poor Kathy from VA has a hard choice to make!! Oh, there ARE "Good Things", trick is to learn how to negotiate your way around the B** things (It doesn't deserve to be spelled out today, so there!)

I've been "shopping" on the Petco, Petsmart, and other pet supply sites for a "kitty condo" (?) I always wanted to get Emily one, but in my other apartment there was really no place to put it for her to enjoy it, you know, by looking out the windows...well, my apartment now has a nice courtyard/garden scheme outside the front and there's a HUGE terrace door, that I can't keep open now because Emily taught herself how to open the screen! I take her out now every morning at about 8, that's when I have my coffee, and if I'm late GOD HELP MY EARS!! She even knows how the front door works, she'll sit on my oversized T.V. Throne, and put 1 paw on the doorknob, the other paw stretches up to the deadbolt (!) Then she looks up at the third bolt-y thing and probably wonders how the heck her biped figures out how to open the door!
BUT I DIGRESS!!! (...as usual...)
Back to the Kitty Kondo... My livingroom has my Throne, a loveseat, the T.V. and nothing much else. A Kitty Kondo would look Great! But I can imagine Emily trying to race Marigold and Brutus to the top so she can finally look over the shrubs at the entire lawn and dream of Olymipc Cat Events, like Bird Vollyball, and Butterly Baseball!

David doesn't know it yet, but as Emily's Godfather, I'm going to ask him to take me to Newark Airport to pick "Mari and Bru" up.(I don't know what-if any nicknames I'll have for them!) If he has the time to take me (June's gonna fly by for him...and me...) I'll ask if he can bring his camera, or maybe he can use the camera on his phone, I dunno, but it would be cool to have World Traveler shots of my babes at the airport! Those two FuZZbabies have a purpose in my life - to enrich it all the more, and to serve as a balm... I can't really believe Emily and I are going to have Fuzzbabies!!!! Thank you again and again and again Deb! And ML and everyone who guided us to this adventure! As always, my prayers and thoughts are with all of you; you Are, in all sincerity,
My Family, as I don't have one of my own. (I'm estranged from my brothers that I've mentioned before - haven't spoken to them since 1991 - When I became ill, they didn't want any financial obligations to land in their lap resulting to being my next of kin, so be it!)

This too, shall pass, and really, I TRULY believe there is a God - a Supreme Being - that never gives us anything we can't handle. On the e-card David sent me today, it says "Some days, one guardian angel just isn't enough. Fortunately, you have a whole team!"
(still wanna smack him upside his head, but we're going for Thai tomorrow, so I'll wait...)

Love You All, My Fuzz Family!!!

Rose, You are so great! And I LOVE Thai food!! Can't wait till your babies get to you! You'll have so much fun! We say that all the time, that God will never give you anything you can't handle! Sometimes you may think you can't handle it, but you do and life goes on! I'm sorry you friend is leaving...sucks! But you'll make it!

GS, this has been an all around ruff day! Things will turn around though! Like I said on PDJ, what comes around goes around.

Much love to my Fuzz FAmily! Peace Out!! lol...::sigh::

BTW, Did Jan say she was going out of town? I can't for the life of me remember!! Just know she's been MIA!

Oscar the Puppy Cat said...

OK, Now we HAVE to have a Fuzz Family get together. So what do you all think, 2007, 2008? It will be in Missouri and the Big Cedar Lodge. That is the middle of the country and not so no one has to cross the continent. Now those out of the country, we'll work on that, we have time! This is going to sound cheesy but we all need a group hug! AND, we'll have t shirts made that say something silly like "Fuzz Pack Attack af 200...!" Or "The Fur will fly when the Fuzz get together" LOL, you get the idea. I'm more determind than ever for all of us to meet!!!!

Anonymous said...

Rose: I will be working more on weaning this weekend. Brutus & Marigold are excited about their upcoming flight. I will check with the vet before making arrangements. I'll be sending you some new pics soon. Much love and meows to the Fuzz Pack and their "owners"!

Hey Guys...I just told the Kittenmaster off...I am SO SICK of this evil v. good james thing I can spit! I challenged him: if he IS "reading all the entries", then why are those disgusting comments still on the post from Monday?? The NEW fellow, Charles, (is it?) sounds wonderful, and it must be very hard to be without a fuzzbaby after having multiples all his life, he must be lonely. Hope he has a good time visiting TDK, he made a connection with a lot of people today. But I'm finished with TDK...

The Royals and Gentleman Beau said...

But I never had Thai Food! David will be ordering and it BETTER BE GOOD!

KC and the Giggleman Kitties said...

Casper's Mom - My mini poodle, Bear, is 16.5 years old. She has had similar bladder infections. In fact, it got so bad for a while she couldn't control her bladder at all, peed on the bed. She also bites at those age bumps and they bleed.

But we have Amber and Jake in our prayers and thoughts today.

Rose, just buy a disposable camera with a flash to use. You can drop it off at Walmart and ask the pictures be developed digitially with or without prints. You can ask to have the digital pictures available online -- much faster than waiting for the disc & prints -- so you can email them to Fuzz Pack or give Fuzz Pack a URL where we can happily view your photos. But you must, MUST, take photos of Emily as well. And the airport arrival. Please. In fact, if you will email me your address, I will see to it that you get a couple of cameras, okay? I was already thinking about sending a couple with the kittens, but would really like to see Emily and the arrival.

Emma's Kat said...

LOL! You go Rose! I'm kinda over TDK too. I have respect, only because my site and you guys would not be what it is had I never gone to TDK. But...I too am just sick of the James thing. Yeah, and the KM was really good about deleting the comments and now nothing. He doesn't delete any of them. But you know, he's probably banking on, if we ignore him he'll go away. I'm sure the KM is sick of him too. But, I understand you going off on him. It's been a stressful day and we don't feel like putting up w/James!! I'm going to read comments at TDK now!

Anonymous said...

I agree with ML. Rose, we will talk about pictures and other stuff. I would also like to help with the vet bills for spaying & neutering. This process is very important for the kittens' health. I'll give you a call tomorrow. Been suffering with a migraine today. Not much done!

The Royals and Gentleman Beau said...

Oscar the Puppy Cat said...

Hi Rose! I read your comment to the KM a while ago. I thought he would have at least responed too you but he hasn't. You know, he use to be so one the ball about his site. Now it's as if he really doesn't care. This whole business of "James is welcome as long as he plays nice" is a load of BS. He's not playing nice and nothing is happening. It's quite sad really. Like Kat said, TDK brought us together.

Chester sounds so sad, but he also sounds like such a wonderful person. Hopefully he'll find his way here. I did have some great comments today, he sounds sincere!

KC and the Giggleman Kitties said...

Oh Kim, just read your idea. Love it, love it, love it. And the T-shirt is great, but I want one NOW!
Love the lodge, haven't looked it up, but know it would be great. I might choose to drive, and if so, could probably arrange to pick up others enroute?

Rose, do send me your address and I will get cameras and developing vouchers out to you ASAP. The Fuzz Pack has waiting long enough to see Emily and we cannot, will not miss the arrival of Marigold and Brutus. My email is on my link.

Any other Fuzz Pack-ers considering the adoption of "The Double Trouble Twins", Foster & Pete? Think about it!!!

KC and the Giggleman Kitties said...

Well, I meant ***waited*** long enough to see Emily....! Honest, I am a writer! You sure can't tell, ha-ha.

I agree about TDK and those stupid comments. I am very grateful to TDK because it resulted in Kat's. Don't know if PDJ started then, cause I found it because of Kat's. Immediately Kats and PDJ became my favorites. Maybe we just outgrew TDK?

to all u cat lovers i hope tomorrow will have better news and a brighter day Hey kim i am w/u about the T-shirts god bless u all

The Royals and Gentleman Beau said...

ML, I've just e-mailed you an epistle, as that is the on;y thing I CAN write...I write like I speak, so brace yourselves for our FuZZ Family Meeting!!
Oh, didn't want to tip any hats, but I sent Kim1 a "Sneak Peek" of Emily when she was about 8 weeks old...So The IS an Emily, but I gotcha...Grown Up Emily is eager to make her internet modeling debut, too!
I actually just posted an apology on TDK...I STILL think the Kittenmaster needs to do something more to keep his site "clean" and enjoyable for his audience, and if I were him, I'd be embarrassed if I had to have comments pointed out to me DAYS later... but I didn't want to chase "good James" off the site, so I did what I felt I needed to do, and left it at that...Kathy in VA made it sound like I was being too overly sensitive...I am, always have been and am PROUD of it, because it's to d***** EASY to be the other way 'round!!

Karen, your idea is FANTASTIC!! When I adopted Emily, a non-profit gave me a voucher for her shots and spay because I am on Medicaid and a fixed income. I've called them in regards to the program this year, since it seems to depend largely on A certain "Benefactor". It at least provides spay/neuter and 1st rabies/distemper shots at a cost of 35.00 to 45.00 for cats, more for dogs, depending on size. I'll e-mail you their phone number, who to speak to, and if they have a website, ok?
And LASTLY, my greetings to Zoiee - loving the boat shot, with the driver's side pic, it looks like Zoiee was a TravelFuZZ! Please, don't blame yourself for her passing, Marnie...Looks like she was loved very much, got to go fishing,...such a sweet puss knew how much love ws coming at her, and as it was said before, it's just sometimes they sense it's time...hurts NO LESS, but putting a name to it and placing blame on yourself is too negative an energy.
Come here, to Kat's site and talk to all of us, we're good listeners with broad shoulders!
Prayers for Amber and Jake, from Emily and me.

Oscar the Puppy Cat said...

Rose, I think you mean you sent a sneak peak to Kat!. I was happy that I was to get a pic of Emily. Then reality set in and I realized you meant our own Kat Master! LOL! OH WELL, guess I have to wait like everyone else! :) I'm excited though so hurry up!

T SHIRT ISSUE, do we want to do one before or at the time of our meeting?

HEY!!! BRAINSTORM!!! KAREN!!! What if we could find out how to sell merchandise for this site or something that we creat for the purpose, and use the profits to fund your cause?

I like the idea of all of us Fuzz Packers getting together next year, me and my mom Loa will definitly come for sure! I also like the idea of picking up Fuzz Packers on the way...and dang it I too want a Fuzz Pack T-shirt now! As far as TDK goes, I only look at the picture, I quit reading the comments, people are just to rude and a little weird.
I too like the idea of a NPO for kitties, I don't know what I could do to help, but I will, just let me know what you need or want!
Prayers to everyone and their fur babies, it has just been a crappy day all the way around. Better luck tomorrow!

Karen C -- that is a great idea. Count me in, too. I don't have any website design experience (just troubleshooting specific problems), but I do know computers. I have some contacts, too. And I'll do whatever to help as well.

It's been a bad day, and then GS's situation just made it awful. Think that's what tipped Karen C. to post this great idea.

Prayers to Jake and Amber and please keep us posted...

I too think a NPO would be great and will help in whatever way I can as well! Just a thought...I've been to a few websites where they have a PayPal icon and you can donate thru PayPal. I'm not sure how it works, but I can try an find out about it.

KC and the Giggleman Kitties said...

Kat, I sell and buy on ebay and have PayPal account. It's very easy to set up, links to a bank account or credit card. Very safe to use. I have been using since it came out and had no problems with it. It is becoming more prominent on line for purchases, donations, etc. Just go to www.paypal.com. I'll help any way I can. The person buying never pays a fee; the seller pays a small percentage as a fee.
