Brunswick

This is my Mom's cat, Brunswick. He's 10 years old and a real sweet cat!!! His fur is like silk and he's a talker! He loves his kitty treats and being loved by his humans! This is a picture of him hiding in the jungles of Louisiana. More specifically, my Mom's back patio!!! -Kim's Mom

Good morning! Welcome back Kim! You gots lots of catchin up to do, along w/Donna! Anyway, Brunswick...you're such a handsome boy! Does he have a speck of white on him anywhere, Kim?! Doesn't look like it!

Well, I won't be able to post till this afternoon...::sniffle:: J/K! It will kinda suck though, cause I probably won't get to come back on at all till then. What a very handsome boy. I'm partial to black cats, having two and I love the way he is guarding his domain, with that casual but alert attitude.

He is really cute. I like his name Brunswick. He looks like he is enjoying his outside time. Do you hold conversations? Spot and I do. Its a lot of fun.

He is really pretty. I like the black ones, they seem so mysterious, and secreative, and they are great for Halloween! :o)

Mom,
I hope you get home and go to bed and take care of yourself. Hopefully it doesn't progress. Do what the doctor says.

Good morning Fuzz Family!!!!!!!!

Moms - Get some rest! Whatever you do...don't send it my way! :)

Danielle - I thought Oreo already had his b-day. Was that just his party and today is his b-day day?

Kiiiimmmmmm....Where are you??

Brunswick you better be careful in the dark, someone might trip over you! I bet you are good at hide and go seek!

Brunswick is a beautiful cat. Love the way he is guarding his domain. Love his name too.
Moms, you go home and get some rest. Antibiotics make you tired because they are fighting off the bad germs (at least, that's what I was told). Hopefully if you rest and let the meds do their magic, you'll feel much better tomorrow.

GOOD MORNING FUZZ FAMILY! HI BRUNSWICK!!! Actually, he calls himself Bunsick as he's still a baby (at least he thinks he is). B is the youngest of my Mom's two cats. He is ALL black and yes, in the dark it's very easy to trip over him!

I'm glad to be home and can't wait to catch up. I've not had time to do more than look at the cuties that I've missed over the last few days. There have been some very pretty kitties and interesting stories, I need to start reading!

Brunswick is beautiful! Love the name! Please pet him for me!

Moms--please feel better! Rest, recover!

ML--How is Bear today? How are you? Missy? Charley? -- might as well email me, want to hear about the whole family :).

Happy Birthday Oreo!

Emma's Kat said...

Lol...GS, isn't Jan leaving for Tucson? Is it Tucson?

ML - Yes, how is MBE? Her stitch out yet?

Updates everyone!! Pronto! ;)

OK everyone, I have lots of reading to do so I will do that, then I will post a monster of a long comment (you know how long winded I can be), and then we can all be on the same page. GS, I've only had time to skim your site as well. Ditto for you. OH, THANKS FOR POSTING SIMON! Ok, gotta read ladies!

Jake is doing ok he's still excited to eat when I get home. He is not drinking though. He is only eatin 2 jers at the moment. If I leave food out for him he won't touch it. I think I am going to offer him some dry food tonight. See how that goes.

Anonymous said...

Danielle, I know Jake is probably tired of having things forced on him but fluids are very important and when Simon had kidney failure, for the last two years of his life, I made sure to put just a little salt on his food (per our vet-but check with Jakes) because the salt made him more thirsty plus I kept an eye dropper and would occassionally give him fluids that way. There were other things the vet did but those were things we could do at home. We did have him two more years after the diagnosis so some of that must have helped.

danielle said...

Claire,
Thanks for the advise. I can get an eye dropper. He seems to be licking all the fliuds out of the food before he eats. So I know he is getting some fluids. I will check about the salt.

Morning all!

Hi Brunswick! You must be the distant brother to my Kona and to GS's Gheeri. So beautiful. And he does look more like Kona than our Maddie-girl.

He is so beautiful.

Oh, I meant to ask... Can we find out how he got his name? Like all of you, I love the name.

Hi Karen,

Bowling? I don't know that connection. My first thought was New Brunswick -- NE Canada or something like that?

Karen, my bad. I can't believe I forgot about your black trio. You, too, are a member of the "black cat club".

What a handsome boy you are Brunswick. You look like black velvet laying there. You stand out quite well in that bark you are laying in. Nice place to cool off in.

Happy Birthday Oreo.

Hey Moms, get your rest. It will go down to bronchitis if you don't. I know first hand about all that. A year ago December I had pneumonia and was treated three times with anti-biotics when I finally got rid of it. When I did is, when I made myself lay in bed for about three days. I was thankful it didn't land me in the hospital and it could have. I have had respiratory problems all my life. I know how miserable you feel. Get well. Prayers for you.

I'm here! My plane leaves tomorrow morning at 7am. Just talked to my sister--the prediction is 108 and 50mph winds today. Tomorrow is supposed to be cooler, "only"98!

I will have access to all my websites, and I will be reachable at jfmulwitz@yahoo.com. I will be checking in when possible.

Brunswick is a cutie! Since Meepsie is still a "baby girl" at almost 5, there's no reason Bunsick can't be a kitten at 10!

ML, Mom, Danielle--I will be thinking of you, Bear, Amber and Jake! GS, and Moms--take care of yourselves and get some rest!!

Kim & Donna-welcome home! Riquel, have a good weekend welcoming home your warrior!

I'll check around again later today.

There was a Duke of Brunswick during the battle of Waterloo, perhaps that is the connection? Maybe he has a regal personality?

Thanks for sharing Brunswick with us. VERY nice picture of him lording it over his domain. Add me to the roster of the Black Cat Club. I know how difficult it is to get a nice IN FOCUS picture of a black cat. When my sister took in a stray black kitty, she called her KC for Kelly Clark, the company she was working for at the time bacause that's where she found the cat. When the kitty came to live with us, we called her the black cat or Blackie and the name sort of stuck. Original, huh? She's about 17-years-old now.

karen c -- Well, I did run some errands this morning. But in my defense....okay...I don't have a defense. Sigh, going to go and elevate my foot....Thanks for caring! :)

Anonymous said...

what a handsome guy! he looks very relaxed and content in 'his jungle' LOL! cute pic.

Anonymous said...

Karen C: Okay, okay...off to elevate foot. Good idea about the kitties. If Seaborne lies on me, I don't have any hope of getting up :)! For anyone interested in a stupid story: I dropped a glass bowl and a shard of it cut my foot -- three stitches. Karen C. has been attempting to make me be "good" and do what the doctor says. Going to lie down, ice and elevate now....sigh....hope there is something good on tv....boring....rather stay on blog.....sigh

Anonymous said...

Goodness Deb, that was quite a cut. Well I am with Karen C be a good girl and take Seaborne and lay down or lift up your foot. We have to take care of our Mommies as well as our kitties and doggies. Take care O.K.

OMGosh! Just came from Cute Overload! You must go look! Rosie, you're gonna love this pic! Everyone will know the one I'm talking about, just keep scrolling past the hammies! I have to go look again! Too cute! Karen, btw, loved your...I'm gonna call them, angel stories. Gave me chills.

Anonymous said...

ROFL...that Cute overload pic is too funny! Rosie will die when she sees it, she called my pic of Munchkin obscene!

Meowmepurr's Mumma said...

I agree--Rosie will have something interesting to say about those two at CO!

GS- I will be in Tucson BY MYSELF!! Well, that's if you don't count the construction crew putting in a new bathroom, the 3 cats and 2 dogs(who all like to sleep with Auntie), and Mother next door. Paul will be here, doing his primary job as Cat Staff(or Heated Kitty Furniture). He is also having his Experimental Aircraft Association chapter meeting here while I'm gone. We spent the morning cleaning and rearranging the shop, moving 2 airplane wings, and generally spiffing up the shop building for the meeting. I still have bathrooms to clean, bed to change, sweep & mop(he vacuums), oh yea, and pack and the last 2 loads of laundry!!

DEB--listen to your Mothers(and Mummas)--foot up, ice, take it easy, and feel better soon.

Anyhow, I won't be out of touch, though I may not be on tomorrow!

Purrs and Huggles to all--

Hello All! Brunswick got his name from...Brunswick,ME. My sister had just moved there and my Mom thought that would make a good name. He really does fit his name!

Donna, welcome home!!! I hope you had a great trip! Mr B looks JUST like Kona! When Kona made his debut, I made my Mom look at him and she was just amazed at how much they looked alike.

So much has happened while I was gone, I don't even know where to start. I'm sorry for all that is going on with our fuzzy friends! I hope all those who are sick and those who are hurt, feel better soon. I can't wait for the day when we all meet for our fuzz family reunion, we could use a good ole group hug!
