Kahlil

This is Kahlil, he was named after the Veggie Tales movie "Johna". He is not yet a year old. He his very mischiveous and likes to play with anything that moves. He is also very lazy. He has a gotee and loves his chin to be rubbed and always lets you know if he wants food, loud and clear. *~' To all who love cats and Veggie Tales~Makaela'~*

Good morning! I love Kahlil's name. My neighbor's little boy has the same name. Kahlil, you are too cute!

How is everyone doing today? Jakey, Amber, ML, GS, Kathleen? Did I forget anyone?!

Kim said...

Good Morning All!

Kahlil sounds like my kind of cat! He's beautiful, his coloring, his gotee, his little pink nose and paw pads! He is just so cute! My kids love Veggie Tales and will get a kick out of Kahlil's name! Give this big boy a good scratch for me!

Ditto to Kat's question!

Rose said...

Good Morning, FuZZ Family!

O-M-G !! Kahlil looks like he could be Emily's twin! Two differences, Emily has a black nose, no goatee, and she has black paw pads, not pink, but otherwise...O-M-G !! Actually, at this moment she has assumed the position in the picture on the right! Makaela, you have an extremely fine specimen of a feline there...oh sorry Khalil, I MEANT to say YOU have a fine specimen of a Mum! A Blessed life to you both!

Hey, Rosie, check out those F.B.s!!
A Preview of what's to come when Emily exposes, er, I mean, makes her debut on KCotD!!!... snooort...

Had a kickin' thunderstorm last night! Lots of cloud-to-cloud lightening, so it looked like God had his Party Lights on, strobe lights incl.! Enough cloud-to-ground lightening to keep mortals humble, and Emily, Princess of Middlesex...Hid, the Whole Time.
I don't remember when she started to hide during storms. Maybe the thunder sounds like some big, p.o'd tomcat, I dunno...

Got an e-mail from Chester...mentioned he added a comment to yesterday's TDK late, and asked me to read it. I don't know, I probably went over the top with James, but I felt that while well meaning, a few of the comments were exactly not what I was receptive to in that state, and I did what my gut told me to do...I felt I had to reach out.
It's true, the fact that he mentioned his plans in such an open forum was a cry for help, better than the shut down the day or two before the event, but I remember REPEATEDLY mentioning my plans, yeah, to talk about it, meant in my case, I actually HAD
a plan, and that is a main criteria for hospitalization right there. I felt like I was just saying it out loud to PROVE to myself that I really DIDN'T exist anymore, so what's the loss? sort of thing...

OOhhh, it's too early for this!! I'm sorry...Psych major + first hand experience = BORING!!!

Hoping this morning begins a good, positive chi/healing weekend for everyone!! I'm feeling very positive for us all!
Chat later!

Good morning Fuzz Pack! Kahlil is a very hansome boy. Are his eyes green? He looks very cozy and content, and in the words of his momma, lazy. I wanna be a cat!

Bluejay said...

Kahlil reminds me of a kitty named Pyewackett whom I knew years ago. He also was playful and affectionate. Kahlil looks very loving and loveable. The little "peak" in his "hairline" is so cute!

Good morning and good vibes to everyone.

danielle said...

Good morning Fuzz Family! Kahlil is so cute. I like lazy cats they remind me of .... me. He looks so content. I want to reach in and pet the belly.

I was reading the comments from yesterday and I can say that I too was diagnosed depressed. Unfortunately the meds didn't help. Coming here and talking with everyone helps so much.

Kat was kind enough to post about Jake for me last night. I remembered "bilirubin" is high in him right now. I have to go online and find out what that is. I have to go for now but will be back shortly. I am also going to call the vet at 12. I will update again. Thank you Fuzz Family for all the love and support.

Monica I am glad to hear about Amber taking her meds like a good child. Sorry to hear about Cleo though. Hopefully everything will be alright.

Claire said...

Kahlil is a beautiful, big cuddle boy. Looks so comfortable. It is very overcast here today and that pillow he is on looks very comfortable. Wouldn't mind a catnap myself right now.

Danielle, we all hope things are getting better for Jake. We've all offered our hopes and prayers for his recovery. You are a very caring person. That comes through with all of your postings. Hope he will be home with you soon.

katnippia said...

Good Morning Fuzz Family !!!!
Kahlil, is a very handsome boy, i just love his lil go-tee. He looks like a very sweet and loving boy.

Danielle, i hope jake continues to get better, sending kitty loves kisses, and prayers.
Amber good girl for taking your meds for mommy, like a good girl.
I hope everyone else is feeling better today as well.

Emma's Kat said...

Danielle, I think bilirubin has to do with the liver. Too much of it causes jaundice, which is not good.

Kim said...

Yep Kat, that's what it is. Casey had Jaundice pretty bad when she was born. She had to sleep under a special lamp. I don't know how they correct the problem in cats. It is a liver problem though. Keeping my fingers crossed Danni!!!

Rose, we're all going to have a good day today. Happy thoughts, happy thoughts! If it's sunny today, hooray!!! If it's raining, the earth and our souls are being cleansed!!!

Rosie, nothing heavy, ok? At least we'll try. It may turn out to be that kind of week though, so just go with it.

Claire said...

I agree with Kim. I was teary eyed yesterday with concern for Jake and Amber but hope today will be better for all.

LOA said...

danielle said...

I looked it up you are right it is liver. Good day today thoughts are positive. I wonder if they should put Jake under a lamp. The nurse was saying what a fighter he is. They are so goo dto him.

I'm with Loa where's my T-shirt? I just had a brain storm..... we should all send our signatures (and either our cat's print or name) to be put on it as well as whatever else is going on it.

Rose said...

Hi Kim, I'm sorry about the lead I was beginnig to rain down - NO MORE TODAY!!! No more Heavy comments from Rose today, PROMISE!! IT'S FRIDAY, PEOPLE!!!
"House" is on tonight at 11pm, got my check in the bank, MY BABIES ARE COMING MAYBE NEXT WEEK !!!;))!!! (squealing for joy, scaring the Holy bejesus out of Emily...)
Happy chats later...( oh, I just noticed - chat/chats is french for Cat/Cats..."but of course..."

I apologise I meant to say our pet's not just cat.

Rose said...

Ooohhh Danielle! Cat pawprints and sigs on "The" T-shirt!!

HAPPY-Glad for Jakey! 'course he's a fighter! I had a high bilirubin count once...the liver, I was told, has the capacity to regenerate itself, so many IV's and meds later and voila - good bloodwork comes back every 6 months on that score...God knew what he was doing when he but his creatures together!! YOU, girlfriend, TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF, too, okay?! We're Watching You - your FuZZ Pack Sisters!!!

Rose said...

I "loke" it, too...

danielle said...

Rose glad to see you in better spirits. Keep it coming!

Emma's Kat said...

Momsbusy, I read your comment under Simon's posting. That is great, but I understand your concern. She'll be okay, she'll have the other kitties and your parents. And if the day comes and you have to take her four babies, everything will work out fine! You know we'll be here to support you any way we can!

Cecilia said...

Love the gotee!

ML (Mary Lynn) said...

Good Morning, all. Happy Friday, Fuzz Pack.

Kahlil is so beautiful. I love black and white cats with pink noses and paws. And hypnotic green eyes.

I love the idea of a tee shirt with paw prints and our sigs, Danielle. And I think Kim way earlier this week had come up with some cute sayings about the Fuzz Pack??? You all know what -- I want 2 T-shirts. That way I always have a clean one to wear while I'm posting.

And the beautiful Jake continues to be in all our prayers and thoughts, as well as Amber. And Momma Grace & Company, in wishing them forever homes.

In fact, I've told all my neighbors here about Jake (and the Fuzz Pack, too -- a couple of them are buying computers just to see Kat's and PDJ!!! 'cause I talk them so much). They think it is so neat.

Kat, when you decided to start KCotD, did you ever dream this would happen? I looked at TDK daily, but never posted. Then I get here and PDJ and bamm -- can't shut me up.

Well, I will shut up now. TGIF.

LOA said...

Hey, just read my email...Rita said Bryan was in a motorcycle accident. Anyone know how he's doing?

ML (Mary Lynn) said...

And how she is doing. She has been under a lot of stress these past few days.

Please, if any of you hear from her, let us know what is going on.

Emma's Kat said...

ML, Don't know anything else either about Rita. I wished I had given her my #, but I don't think she read the email I sent back, as I'm sure she left right away!! I pray he's okay!! Motorcycles offer no protection! They scare me! I guess we probably won't hear anything until tomorrow! Argh!

ML (Mary Lynn) said...

Kat, Tomorrow is Saturday...will we have to wait until Monday to hear?????

Emma's Kat said...

Damn! That's right!! Rosie, could you try an find out for us all! It stinks, her not having a computer at home!

danielle said...

Oh my god I didn't even know. I hope they are both alsight. That must be so hard for her. I don't think she will read this but Rita, I am praying for you guys. As I'm sure everyone esle is. Please let us know as soon as humanly possible. Keep strong.

katnippia said...

Oh dear, I didn't know either Danielle. i hope they are both doing fine, and pray them to be ok. i live her in Florida, and since the gas prices have been high there has been more accidents. Kitty purrs, and kisses going your way.

Rose said...

Oh, Rita, sweetheart, very big, warm fuzzy hugs going to you and Bryan! Please get your strength from us, we're all here with you in our upperthoughts and in our hearts. Love, God Bless you, Bryan and your FuZZes and we're here, again, waiting on you... Kat's site is a very spirit-filled site, and Our Higher Power is woth you all, today and everyday...trust in that, sweetie. Love ya guys! Rose and Emily ( and Brutus and Marigold! )

Kim said...

Rose, I just realized that my post looked like I was singling you out. OH MY GOODNESS NO! I hope that didn't come across the wrong way! I meant that you and I could be group cheerleaders! I was picking up on your comment about being more cheerful today. Oh I hope I didn't offend you!

Danni, am anxious to hear what the vet says! I am also really worried about Rita and Bryan! I hope he's ok!

T SHIRTS! I will think of something and show it to you. I guess I'll take a picture and maybe Kat can post it under her Kat's Korner. Does that sound OK?

danielle said...

I just spoke with the vet. He said Jake is not doing any better than yesterday. He seems to be regressing. His color is more yellow. He is not eating much, but he has not vomited. He is going to call me in the afternoon to let me know if there are any changes.

riquel said...

Hope everything is okay with Rita and Bryan.

I have never met any of you guys but I look forward to talking to you all everyday. *loss for words*

Danielle,

I'm sorry Jake isn't doing any better, we were all hoping for a quick recovery. I'm having computer problems today so I might not be on again till Monday but all my good wishes and prayers go out to Jake right now. I think we all come to these sites because we have found another family where we can express ourselves and know others will understand. Hope the weekend will bring better news for Jake and Amber, too.

Emma's Kat said...

Hey everyone! Just got an email from Rita! Here it is:
Hey kat, Bryan has a sidekick phone so I have limited web & email use right now. This is his email- I would email everyone but yours was the only one I could remember right now. Bryan is OK, he has a fractured thumb and lots of scratches and bruises- a chunk of skin missing from one of his fingers, but he was wearing his helmet, so he has a temp sling but we're ok for now. The bike is messed up, not drivable. So, more bills-he has no health insurance. Well I will be able to get onto a computer later, for now you can let everyone know we're ok. Purrs,
rita

Huggles, purrs and prayers to Rita and Bryan--I hope you call someone to let us know what's going on. You know we're all here for you, babe.

Jake, Danielle and mob, the prayers and purrs are still coming your way as well. And Monica, Amber and Cleo!!

T-shirts! What a wonderful idea, and could also be used as a fundraiser! Pictures, paw prints, sigs--any or all would be good, so long as the shirt isn't WHITE--I spill too much!

Add me to the depression list, from my teen years onward. Dick Cavitt once said it was like having a big black dog riding around on his shoulders. Very apt!! But I still like dogs--black or otherwise.

Kahlil is such a pretty boy--I love his parted "bangs" and his goatee. Pretty substantial FB's as well-they'll be quite something when he grows up.

ROSE-you started my day with a giggle-snoort! And bless your kind heart for trying to help James. I also know from experience that if he's talking about it, he REALLY needs help! Please, Lord, he gets it!!

I will be checking back to get all updates!!

Meowmepurr's Mumma in Washington State said...

THANK YOU, LORD, FOR KEEPING OUR RITA AND BRYAN SAFE. What good news! I know he's going to feel rotten, but he'll be ok. My brother still has gravel surface from a cycle accident 40 years ago!

Purrs and Huggles to All

I've been having a problem accessing the comments section today, but I finally got it!

I don't know Veggie Tales, Kahlil, but I sure do like your name and your beautiful eyes! He looks like a soft cuddly purr boy - so cute!

We've got quite a prayer group going here - it's really touching that so many people who've never met in person can care so much for others and their animals. I'm glad to be a part of it.

riquel said...

Glad to hear that Bryan is okay....*whew*

I agree with meowmepurr's (I don't know everybody's real names yet) about the t-shirt, anything but white...I should buy stock in Spray n Wash!
They should definitly be sold to raise money for the NPO that (I am having a brain cramp..can't...remember...name)wants to start..(name...will come..when sleeping...later...tonight...oooww!)

Prayer is a powerful thing. I am also glad to hear that G.S.'s Bryan wasn't seriously injuried. My son was in a motorcycle accident a few years ago and has sold his bike (for which both his wife and I are grateful). Hope Bryan recovers quickly.

I hope everyone especially Danielle, Monica and G.S. have a safe and happy weekend.

Kim said...

I'm so happy about Bryan! Rita and Bryan, sure could use a break! He's safe and they're together and that's what counts!!! Purrs to you GS and Bryan!!!

OK, I guess I could design a shirt that would look good on a variety of colors. If anyone has any ideas, I'm open to suggestions. My email is triskart@hotmail.com. if you want to IM me, my Yahoo address is triskart@yahoo.com.

Karen C. said...

I'd like to see shirts starring some of the adorable kitties we've seen here. You know that picture of pretty mama Grace - the one with just her sweet face looking up? Wouldn't that make a great picture on a shirt to advertise kitties in need?

riquel said...

oh oh oh, an even better fund raiser, what about a Fuzz Pack Calender, with Kat's Cat of the Day the stars.......

riquel said...

rephrase not a "better" fund raiser, but an "additional" fund raiser....

danielle said...

I am very happy to hear that Bryan wasn't seriously injured. That is a scary thing. I love all the shirt ideas. I am still waiting for the vet to call back. I hope he calls with better news. You have to check out the pics on my site. If you haven't already.

Claire said...

Good luck and lots of prayers to you, Danielle and Jake. I'll be thinking about Jake all weekend, hoping he will be home with you soon.

Emma's Kat said...

I would love to put a calaner together, Riquel. I'm going to check into it when I get a chance. Price and how where to get it put together. I know there's a lot of places that will do it.

Danielle- I absolutely love the adorable pix on your site!!! I will go and comment now. I didn't have time earlier.

danielle said...

I just sent an email out. I do not have everyones address so if you got it PLEASE pass it on.

Karen C. said...

I got the e-mail and was shocked! I need to check what it is I use as soon as I get home. I know I have one of those, if not that exact brand. This may sound funny, but THANK GOD I hardly ever bother to clean! I was just feeling guilty about how the floor looks and wondering when I'd find time, etc., and now I can just be glad I've been too busy to bother.

Emma's Kat said...

Dannielle & Karen - I sent you an email too! hehe It's just a hoax email, luckily though. Why do people waste their time making up this stuff and needlessly worrying people!! Oh well, at least it isn't true.

Karen C. said...

Darn! You mean I have to clean the floor after all? There goes my one day off...

danielle said...

I hope everyone has a great weekend. I will call Kat on any news of Jake. If thats ok. I will see you all on Monday. Purrs Huggles and love to you all.

Ella's Mom said...

I just wanted to say that I think all you guys are so great and I love making the rounds on everyone's site everyday and seeing all the beautiful pictures. I can't wait till I can get a computer at home so I can check in on evenings and weekends. I love the idea for a calendar and
T-shirt and if it benefits our furry friends, all the better! I'm not sure what I can do but if I can help in any way let me know! I know I'm sorta the quiet one here. I don't really have a lot of friends so it does get lonely sometimes. But reading everyone's posts and looking at all the beautiful pictures on here always brightens my day. Anyway have a good weekend everyone, and I hope that next week is a better one for everyone.

P.S. Khalil is a handsome boy. Great name!

Meowmepurr's Mumma in Washington State said...

KAT--please forward Danielle's email to me--I didn't get it!! Also(as if you don't have enough to do) let us know if/when you hear from her over the weekend. BTW, thanks for the update on Bryan, poor baby.

We will also need T-shirts in LARGE sizes, for those of us who haven't managed to keep our girlish figures!! Anything smaller than a 3X looks like he-double hockey sticks on me.

MONICA--I hope Amber and Cleo are both feeling better--at least dogs are easy to pill!

Meowmepurr's Mumma in Washington State said...

By damn, we are getting stronger, aren't we?

Grace: 6lb 8 oz -- she is doing great!

Marigold: 15 oz -- small, but perfect

Brutus: 1lb 8 oz -- perfect

Foster: llb 8 oz -- perfect

Pete: llb 10 oz -- perfect

Marigold needs to put on a little more weight before I can send she & Brutus to Rose, but it will only be a about a week. Rose & Emily, get ready for babies!!

Kathleen - I hope you are feeling better. A little better?

Monica - How is Cleo?
Jan- Danielle rec'd an hoax email about Swifter Wet Jet having killed a dog and 2 kitties because they supposedly injested it from licking their paws. It was all a hoax. And I will definately post when I hear something from Dannie.

What a great day, everyone is on the bright side now. Bryan is O.K. Thank God. Cleo is back to her sweet self. She started eating last night. Guess she got something when she was outside that didn't agree with her or whatever. Amber is still doing good with her meds. So guess we can all focus on Jake. Yes, I think we are all strong together.

Kahlil you remind me a little of Cleo, so you are one handsome gentleman. Nice bright green eyes, and it's O.K. to be lazy. Seems like all ours are lazy also except for that spurt in the morning and evening when the elephants run through the house. At least that is what it sounds like.

Sounds like the week has ended on a pretty good happy note. I pray everyone's weekend will be the same.

Hi everyone! Don't have much time-I'm on my mother-in-laws' computer (well, hopefully soon-to-be), and I have SO much stuff to do, so I'm only gonna make 1 comment:

Thank you everyone for all the love, support, and prayers. Bryan says thank you for the kind thoughts. He is OK (minus the use of 1 left hand), and it's in a splint, but he needs an Orthapedist (sp?) to look at it and do the cast (they didn't want to set it at the hospital for some reason). The bike wasn't so fortunate. What he'll do about work, I don't know (you can't do construction with a cast...). But, it could have been worse. Much, MUCH, worse.

Despite what's going on, my thoughts go to Dannie and Jakey. I am so sad. Hugs from all of our family to all of yours. I REALLY hope he pulls through.

Kat, Karen, Kim, Jan, Mary Lynn- I'm sorry I can't help with our rescue group for the next couple of days.... I wish I could. But.... if ANYONE needs ANYTHING, do NOT hesitate to email me on Bryan's phone... just put "for Rita" in the subject and it'll get to me! The email is: forbidden@tmail.com. He has a Sidekick, so it has all sorts of nifty extras, including web access and email. Unfortunatley, the fact that it's not a computer messes with it, so I'm not able to do things like comment on posts, or respond to messeges on my personal email or on myspace, for example, so that stuff I have to wait to get to a computer, but my work blocks it, so I have to wait till I get to Bryans' parents' house, which is approx. 40 miles from our home. So I'm getting it all in now.

Yay for Brutus and Marigold! Almost time to go HOME!!!!! Rose, you better send me pics when they get settled! (although everyone's gonna be tired of seeing them I posted them so much! LOL j/k)

OK, everyone, I'll see you all on Monday.

Summary:
We're OK-Thanks, all!
Love and hope to Danielle and Jake
Happy for Rose
Rosie you're nuts!
K, K, K, mumma, ML:Hope you guys settle on a name-hope to be back on the bandwagon soon!

Mom, my 6 year old sings the hairbrush song, ENDLESSLY!!! Tonight we were at Shoney's and he sang the entire time. "Oh where, is my hairbrush?" I think that's a funny one too! I love the pirate song though, especially Larry's part in the song, "And I've never been to Boston in the fall?" LOL

Rose, your babies will be with you VERY soon! I'm so excited!!!! I can't wait so I know how you must be feeling! You're such a wonderful Momma and I know this is going to make your little family into such a fun one. Emily will be a good Mommy to these babies and you'll be a good Momma!!!
