Good morning Oreo! What a love you are! Good morning to all! I haven't posted in a long while but I do try to keep up with everyone.
Tomorrow we fly home from Costa Rica with my babies TC and Boo (they were featured in May, I think.) I'm a nervous wreck. They have both flown in-cabin but this time they have to go as cargo because the airline won't let them in-cabin with me. I know they're going to be so scared. I've been sleeping with the towels I will line their kennels with so that they will have my scent and I don't know what else I can do to make them feel a little more secure. Any suggestions? The airline has assured me that they will be in a temperature-controlled environment at all times but I'm just a basket case!
Please just say a little prayer for us.

Oreo is adorable. Love black and white cats. Love his little blog. Read a bit of it, will have a more leisurely read later. He is a cutie. Very expressive, too.
I'm excited about Deb's Momma Gracie & Twins going to their FOREVER HOME today. Can't wait to see pix.
I watched Missy all night, the swelling did increase, then the drooling on the stitch side came back. But around midnight she ate (ATE) some dry cat food, about four pieces. She was breathing with her mouth open, but not gasping. Still, I couldn't sleep!!!
She came in on the bed beside Bear and we got a few hours sleep. This morning she heartily ate her portion of cat food, drank water (Dasini) and used her little box. She is lethargic, wants to stay close to us. Think the worst is past.
Prayers for sweet Amber, Cleo, Oscar, & Jakey. Hope I didn't leave anyone...any cat...out!
PS: Missy is not really a tuna cat. Shows you how hungry that girl was to drink the tuna water.

I think the scented towel thing is a great idea and if you can medicate them, that will also help. I've never traveled on a plane with pets and don't know how long you will be in the air but sounds like you have thought of everything for their comfort. Have a safe trip.
OK, I've done my work for the morning--I voted, I visited Danielle(prayers still going up for Jake) and I've finally read everything from yesterday! STUPID BLOGGER wouldn't let me read, much less write, most of yesterday.
Poor little Missy Hissy! Flumpy sends a nose kiss, Mumma sends prayers. I hope the "attitude adjustment" holds.
I am so happy for Grace and "The Boyz". Not only "forever homes" but ones where they can see each other.
Deb, what are the arrangements to have the 3 of them neutered? Do you need donations for their surgeries?
Hi Judy! Hope you have a safe trip back as well! Another trip idea, someone mentioned on TDK was buying this spray stuff called "Comfort Zone w/Feliway". It's supposed to help calm cats that are stresssed. I've heard it works. Also, may something w/catnip in it. Let us know when you're home safely. Where are you moving to?

Hi Judy, glad to see you back! Yep, the scented towel is the right thing to do. I also agree with Claire, you may want to ask the vet for some travel meds. I've never traveled on a plane with my cats so I don't know how they would react. My sister travels with hers all the time. He took medication in the beginning, but since she travels so much, he doesn't need it anymore. I think the only time she does use it is when he has to go as cargo. I thanks that's more for her piece of mind though. :)
Oscar is 100% himself again! Thank you for asking. He sends lots of love and licks (remember, he thinks he's a dog and licks).

gs - post new pics as you receive them even if it isn't everyday. either that or change the site to revolve around your kittys and life. use it as therapy to keep you sane. that's why i started my blog. a way to reminise (sp?) about my past kitties, post about current babies and think things through. it helps to get my mind in "working" order. LOL

Rita I will be sending more pictures to you if you want them. I will have to send them later today as I have to be off to the dentist soon. AArgh! Sorry I haven't sent that picture of the fawn drinking out of the bird bath but I can't find it. I have looked all through my pictures and can't find the small one to scan. I have an 8x10 on the wall but that one is to big to scan. So I will send the one where the fox is by the bird bath in it's place. Really glad to hear Bryan is doing better, bet he really didn't much of a good Birthday as with all that has been going on. Please take care Rita. Hope things will slow down for you sometime soon.

Casper and Patches loves tuna water. I can get the tuna can out of the cupboard and I don't know how he does it, but Casper is right there. He only gets it when I have tuna sandwiches for lunch.
Good to hear that Missy is doing better. Casper is a little worried about her. So good to hear Oscar has fully recovered. Jake, prayers still going up for you and Missy. Have to go so will catch up to you all later.

Casper's Mom - Just saw Casper's baby photo again, I'm going to make Missy some special wallpaper using his pictures. That ought to cheer her up.
Missy Update: She is looking good, just very tired, and she can't quite bring that widdle lower jaw up to meet the top. No breathing problems, though. And the drooling has stopped (it was on the side where the stitch is).
Ohmigosh, can you imagine a picture like that. Missy gazing at the photo of Casper. As soon as she is up and around, will do it! Great idea.

ML, If I click on Refresh...my Neko will come up! So, you can't see him either?!
Nope. The only time I can see it is if I run something javascripted. Think it is because you pasted the Neko code in the script section of the template. I sent email that shows exactly where it should be placed -- right after the 1st "body" tag. I found a blue eyed Missy looking Neko and a big orange Neko, they are so cute. If I can help, just let me know.

yet again!! (heh-heh) TOMORROW, I AM STARTING A DIET!! I really need to lose 65-70 pounds...yeah, that much...but at least I didn't start from 420 pounds, like in 1999, pre-gastric bypass surgery...acording to FitDay.com, I should be 135-140 pounds, at 5'3"...this morning I was 204.5...so in 2 years @ 1/2 lb. week, I sould be at hoal...BUT! I'm impatient!! Since I have to eat 100 grams of protein ANYWAY, if I lower fat and carbs - especially carbs (Gosh, I could live on bread...I'll leave that line open...)that oughta do it...your anticipated nagg-I mean cheering me on will be welcomed!!
I know there's more, but if I hit "Log and Publish" and this all goes missing - Rosie my friend, you will be hearing my S*C*R*E*A*M!!!

Am so glad Missy is getting a lot better. Would be so neat getting a picture of Missy looking at Casper. Casper is nosing me on my back right now. He probably wants to sit down beside me. Ooops, went to his pad instead. Guess he wanted me to know he was there. I think I'm going to have to get one of Missy's pictures and put up as wallpaper as well and see what happens. Casper doesn't look at the monitor all that much. Come on Jake you have to get all better too!! Got to get the rest of the dinner done and send some pictures to Rita's site. Take care Fuzz Pack.

Oreo, when I saw your picture and read your blog, I initially suspected that my own Oreo was leading a double life. You two could be twins! Obviously, I find you to be a very handsome cat with absolutely the most purrfect name!
I just went back and read the posts from last night after I logged off. I just sent an email with pix of my Oreo. The email from krs1040 is me.
HELLO FUZZ FAMILY! Sorry it has taken me so long to post, but I just got home. Wow, did I have a day! Started with problems with my mom (she has Alzheimers & is in a nursing home)at 6:00 a.m. Took care of that, got back home around 1:30 and gathered up Grace, Pete & Foster, their "things" & my daughters. Went to Spring, TX -- about a 45 minute drive. Met Marilynn Smith, her daughter, grandsons & grand-daughter. The most charming, sweet family I have ever met. Grace LOVES her new mommy -- Marilynn! She is being given the "royal" treatment! As she should! Pete & Foster were "surprises" for the oldest grandson (13 1/2) Austen -- he has had their pics posted on his computer for a while. I was so impressed with Austen & his brother Parker. Very gentle with the kitties! Love the men who love cats! The grand-daughter, Kiera, is 5. Such a beauty! She was having such fun with the kitties! I felt so wonderful leaving them because I knew that they were in their "forever" homes! The only tears I shed were tears of happiness for them. I do miss them, but I KNOW that they are where they belong.

Oh yes, they know that Grace & company has a large Fuzz Family Following!! I talked to her last night. Grace was asleep on Marilynn't tummy. Pete & Foster were playing with Austen! All is well! Marigold & Brutus continue to play with each other so well. Such a bond! Rose, soon...soon.
