Chick

You may remember Oreo, Isabelle & Bear. I have another cat. She is around 5 years old and her name is Chick, but I call her Chicki or "Chicki Chicki Boom Boom". (Anyone familiar with that children's book?) She was a stray that showed up on my doorstep and of course I started feeding her. Then she had a litter of kittens in the doghouse, so after they were weaned and given away to other homes, I had her spayed. I keep her shots up to date, so I guess she's not a stray anymore. Now she lives in the back yard. Occasionally she's not there when I go looking for her, but for the most part I don't think she wanders too far away. She doesn't like coming in the house, so I let her stay outside. She has taken up residence in the dog house, as my dog Sam lives in my house. Chick is quite the mighty huntress. She often leaves her trophies (moles, birds, and the occasional frog) on the back porch. She also has a fondness for chasing bugs, and butterflies. -Karen S.

Good morning! Karen S. - I so love that book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom! Chicki is so pretty! C's Mom/ML- Is this another Casper or Missy look-alike?! She has gorgeous blue eyes! How old is she now?

Kim - Awwww, Casey's 1st day! I'm sure she'll love it! Can't wait for Jude to go. I think he'll love going to Pre-K. Hopefully!

Okay ladies! Let's have a great day today! Peaceful. If anything needs to be discussed, let's do so thru personal email. Please and thank you. :)

I thought the same thing about the look-a-like! She is beautiful!!

I missed a lot yesterday. I was not able to computer things too much.

Don't forget to check my new sites. There are links on my venting page.

Good morning Fuzz Family!

OK, it's official, we all think Chick looks like Casper and MBY! That was the first thing I thought too!!! She is so beautiful! What a great protector. She obviously sees you as her home, she leaves her "trophy's" on your porch.

Guess where I'm headed now? Back to bed to take a one hour nap!!! My gosh, I haven't done that in many years! The house is ALL MINE for three hours!!! So I will post later, but for now...!

Good Morning, all.

Miss Chick is so pretty! I also thought she looks like The Captain/Missy! I wonder how many more of those beauties are out there?

I wish I could sleep until 7! I seem to be stuck on 4:30 these days. 'Course, it might have something to do with the light on in the computer room and CNBC on loud enough to wake the dead!! LOL.

ML - How's KC and family?

Morning All, A cat named chick, that is too cute. Looking back at Casper's picture, they do look a lot alike.

Fitzgerald threw up a couple of times this morning, I'm not sure what is going on. Maybe he just ate too much? He stays in the kitchen a lot of the time and is always eating.

Joyousness-someone used her box in the middle of the night!! And she was incredibly affectionate with me last night as well. Cairo is doing okay although I do think that she is confused. My b/f is attempting to spend as much time with her as he can given his very hectic work schedule-a computer engineer's job is never done.
Chicki is adorable. Any word on Luna?

I know I haven't commented in ages, but I always stop by to take a look. That's my Chicki. She was a little skittish about having her picture taken. She wouldn't sit still for me.

I miss keeping up with everyone. Hopefully, I will have more time soon, since I am hiring some part time help. Then maybe I can go home at quitting time like everyone else!

What a beautiful cat you are Chicki. I think you have a lot more grey in you than Missy and Casper. They have more brown in them, but you sure have the pretty blue eyes. But it looks like you have their cattitude. Sounds pretty neat that you have your own house.

Kim - How was your first day with you time! Get a good nap? Reading? ;)

Chick, you are such a pretty kitty cat.

chick has beautiful blue eyes. she does favor casper and mbe. and she's a mighty hunter too. she picked a good forever home with you, karen.

Rose and Karen- checked out the link re aggressive housemates. All that things that Rosie did when Cairo was around are very typical. I do think that I'm to blame for not introducing them "slowly and patiently" as the article suggests.

Emma's Kat said...

Kathleen - So glad Rosie is feeling comfortable again! Like you said, maybe in time and with a slower intro, they can coexist or even become girlfriends!

Hey guys, don't know who's there at this hour. First, Hi Chicki! I luv the idea of a cat in a dog house. Good one!
Second, Kathleen, my mom did the slow introductions between me an Bonnie, but Bonnie's just... difficult. Will check out the link tho.

Anywho, Mom really wanted to write here cuz she got a comment on our blog that hurt her feelins an she needs purrs.

You know... I was thinking, you might want to have some children instead of impersonating a cat which talks like a baby. What you think?
Sorry... Just a suggestion...

"Tikkles, I have a kid. This is a hobby to get away from work, school, daycare, traffic, bills, politics, and the rest of the "real world" garbage that drags me down every day. And if you don't like our blog, there are a zillion others you can go read instead. I'll express my creativity this way, and you can express yours your own way.
Bonnie & Victor's People"

So, Mom wants some purrs, but she's also interested in yur thoughts. She knows it's just one person an it shouldn't bother her... but it does anyway.

Victor/Bonnie/Mom - I saw another comment of that sort from that same person on another kitty blog. I was surprised because it appears that the person is blogging as a kitty, so I went to the blog and found it to be "not to my liking", to put it nicely. I do the same thing with my kitty blog because I find it relaxing and funny and I enjoy it. One of my daughters writes Fan Fiction stories on the computer. Another one is into Role Playing on the internet. This is rather similar. She picks a character on TV and creates scenes and I talk like a cat, well 3 actually. I guess I'm also guilty of multiple personality disorders. The person who left the message on your blog seems to be trying to attract attention on other blogs also, though I don't know why. I say ignore him/her/it. We're having fun and making new friends with the same interests and sense of humor, so it's all good.

Karen C. said...

Pretty Chick! Do you like to be cuddled and petted? I'd be following you around the yard - you're adorable!

Cecilia said...

Victor's Mom. I saw the comment on your blog and think it is best just to ignore it. I know that it is easier said than done. I enjoy your blog very much and if somebody does not like it, there are millions of other blogs for them to visit. Please don't let this one person upset you.

Victor Tabbycat said...

Thanks, Karen! I'm already feeling better, but apprecaite the "purrs". I followed the link and also moved on. To each their own, right? So I cat blog... my coworkers are into sports and hunting and other stuff not to my interest. I noticed, also, that the other blog has had very few comments. I think you're right that it's a, shall we say, reader phishing scam. I won't go there again. Thanks again, from all my purrsonalities! >^..^<

Victor Tabbycat said...

Thanks, Cecilia. By tomorrow, I can just pretend that person doesn't exist, right? I can't let her spoil my fun. Our fun. That's what this is about, right? Having fun and enjoying our pets and sharing our pets. My first reason for blogging was because my coworkers were a little tired of hearing about my cats (especially Victor) every day. So I found a way to tell cat stories and those who want to read them can come to me. Little did I know... *grin*
I love you guys! Virtual hug.

katnippia said...

Chicki, you are a very beautiful kitty.

Victor Tabbycat, i agree with Karen C. and Cecilia just ignore that person. As long as you enjoy it, then it's all good.
I know what you mean when you said that co-workers and everyone get tired of hearing about your fuzz children. I started to blog to share stories about my kitty's, because everyone I knew was tired of hearing about them. Be sides I think it is fun.

Karen C. said...

The only person I have to share stories with is my boss/best friend, but he's deathly allergic to cats and considers them "the enemy" (just cause they make his throat swell up till he can't breathe - I think he's over-reacting). So...here I am!

Emma's Kat said...

We all seem to be in the same boat! My friends and family also get tired of hearing about my kitties, so this is definately a fun outlet and a great way to meet good friends! ::group virtual hug:: ;)

Victor's Mom & Karen C.--I find it very entertaining that your blogs are from the kitty's point of view. Its witty and even though I know its really you guys, I find myself thinking its the cats, because each one speaks with its own personality. Whether or not they really talk, they definitely all have unique purrsonalities!!

Good Morning! It's 6am here in the middle of the US. I'm about to wake child number one. He will get up at 5:30am on the weekends or durning the summer. So why is it that when I wake him at 6 he gets so upset and acts like a bear?! So frustrating indeed!!! Well, let me go and face the bear. Just wanted to say good morning to all who might be awake.
