Geoffrey

Geoffrey came from our local humane shelter after the death of my 2 other cats - Chessie and Garlits - a brother and sister who died within 6 months of each other at the ripe old age of 18. My husband decided I needed another cat even though I really wasn't ready for one yet and brought Geoffrey home on my birthday. He's a neutered male domestic shorthair and is a little over 2 years old. Since I wasn't ready for another cat yet it's taken a while for me to warm up to him, but he's won my heart and is a sweet, loveable guy. He has a special toy he likes to drag all over the house like it's "kill" and goes bonkers for the flashlight game. He'll chase the light all over the house! He's also been acting as a go between for the kittens (our newest arrivals, Calico and Bugby) - Friskie isn't too thrilled with them invading her space, but Geoffrey seems to have accepted them and grooms them regularly - pinning them to the floor if he has to to clean their faces. He's being a good older brother and plays with them all the time. -Lea

Geoffrey does sound like a cool cat! It's neat that he's not only so playful, but he likes to clean the adopted "children" and has decided to be their protector. He's also a very nice looking guy, gray and white Dom Shorts are beautiful!

Kat, love the fliker box!

Good Day to all!

Geoffrey is a stunning cat, look at his expression and eyes. And he's got a little smudge on his back leg and tummy, it looks like. We need a tum shot.

That must have been really rough, saying goodbye to two kitties you had that long, so close together.

Geoffrey has a real job, but he looks entirely capable of stealing someone's heart, doesn't he.

I feel so sad for Ullrick's momma. But, like I said to her, maybe it was his time and another kitty needs her love and will come into her life soon. Ya never know!

Well, at least he isn't hurting anymore. She had mentioned that he wasn't himself, and was losing weight and didn't feel good. Poor little guy. And I really for her, losing her first cat and he was still a baby.

Fuzz Pack, please stop by, if you can, and leave a little note for her.

You know Geoffrey, you look like a real nice easy going kitty and it sounds like it from your description. Not a whole lot of cattitude.

I am glad you grew to love this cat, but I know what you mean about not being ready for accepting another one right after a death of a beloved cat or dog. I think you have to get ready in your own time, even though whom ever gives you another one they are doing it out of the kindness and love of their heart. I think Geoffery looks like you could really learn to love fairly quickly. He's a sweetheart.
