This lovely calico had to have been separated from her family. She is such a loving, beautiful girl and a pleasure to have around. Her only problem is that she refuses to live inside. She does stay close to our house where she is fairly safe, as we live in a very rural area; however, and when we have bad storms, she will "allow" us to bring her inside until the storm passes. Duchess loves attention and is my constant companion when I'm gardening or just sitting on the porch. She watches the birds intently and will chase the squirrels, but I have never seen her actually catch anything. She even shares her cat food with raccoons that come to visit our back porch each evening.I wish Duchess was protected inside, but sometimes we just do what we can for furry friends that "appear out of nowhere" in our back yard. She is a special girl and we love her! -Bari

she's gorgeous!!! and looks very well cared for :) does she let you brush that silky long fur? most of my long hairs love the brush (thank goodness!)
i love her eyes, and she almost looks like she's got a raccoon mask herself, maybe that's why she shares with them outdoors?! hee hee.

Duchess you are aptly named and you are a beautiful cat. Sure wish you would go inside to be safe, but at least you are smart enough to get in out of the storm. The pictures of you are really good. Stay safe pretty one.
