Friskie

Friskie is a 7 yr. old female neutered domestic shorthair who came to us via a neighbor. We had been adopted by another kitten who - when we took him to the vet to get him checked out - had been exposed to feline leukemia and had to be put to sleep. My son had already fallen in love with him though and was just heartbroken. Said neighbor hearing about his grief took it upon herself to find him a replacement - unbeknownst to us! She knew someone who's cat had recently had kittens and decided to get one to give to my son. So - that's how we got Friskie. Her father was a tom cat that roamed the neighborhood and the mother ducked out of her house one day while new carpet was being installed. She had a one night fling (maybe more, I don't know) with the tom and the rest is history. She did not make the best house cat at first - we already had 2 other cats and she decided that she was going to mark her territory by peeing all over the house. Because of that she became an outside cat for a few years until one day about 2 years ago she started pawing on the back door all the time like she wanted in. Geoffrey, who had joined our family a few months before started pawing on the back door like he wanted out! So - one day I thought I'd see what would happen if I opened the door. Geoffrey ran out and Friskie ran in and she's been an inside kitty ever since. No way does she want to go outside anymore! Geoffrey decided the great outdoors was too scary for him and he was right back inside in short order as well. Friskie has settled into her new role as Queen of Everything and seems to tolerate the presence of the other cats even though she'd rather they weren't here. -Lea V.

Good afternoon! Dang! I'm late! Busy morning!

Friskie, you are such a pretty girl and it's so cute how you and Geoffrey are such pals! Oooops, I just noticed, I forgot to link to your site! Shame on me! I'll do it ASAP!

For anyone who didn't see it on the PP&PB, Kim's son, Sean was flown to the Children's Hospital yesterday. He is in ICU and they will hopefully find out what is going on this afternoon with the MRI! So, please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as they are very worried as you can imagine. She will be checkin her email, so feel free to email her.

She looks like she's got an extra fluffy tail and tummy! Does she like to be cuddled? Or must you admire Queen of Everything from a distance, like with my Grr?
