Pride

Premier Colecoon All-American Pride is a 5 year old red classic tabby Maine Coon Cat... He is our octopussy... the 8th cat and was the first born kitten under our cattery name Colecoon Maine Coon Cats! He was our keeper... He is a complete love bug... and a very talented vocalist. He loves for me- his human mom... to pet him and love him on my bed... He calls to me in a succession of MommmmaaaaMommmaaaa’s and they dive-bombs on to the bed and rolls on his back to receive tummy pats and kisses! Being a Sagittarius cat he is very gregarious and well rounded... He loves to bird and squirrel watch out the picture windows! He gets very excited and chatters his teeth and chirps... vocalizations Maine Coons make... He likes to imbibe in the occasional catnip party... He enjoys a bit of human tuna too! PURRhaps the funniest thing Pride does is the unique way he purrs... he purrs and then says YUM YUM YUM YUM... he seems to grind on his back teeth... I think he is eating up life and savoring every moment! -Carm a.k.a. 8GR8CATS

Good morning all! Pride, you sure are a handsome kitty!! Love your orange fluffiness and those gorgeous green eyes of yours! My kitties do that chattering noise too, when they see a bird or squirrel! It sounds so funny!

How was everyone's T-day? Mine was pretty good. My mom cooked (she does every year) and I ate too much good food! Anyone braving the shopping world?! The thought crossed my mind, but quickly left! :)

pride is certainly a very handsome boy. love the mane. it is soooo full and fluffy. he has a very confident look about him also. what a wonderful purrsonality too.

i have braved the shopping world and survived! i only went to 2 stores though. no walmart! spent 2 hours in staples (1 3/4 hrs in line) and 30 minutes (5 minutes in line) in lowes. got some awesome deals. i only have to get a few gift cards and i will be done!

Pride is quite the handsome dude! and he looks like he knows it too the way he's posing :)
i wonder how much he weighs...he's big! or is it all that fluffy fur?!

i love the excited chattering when they spot something outside too. i have a few that do that and it always cracks me up.

i enjoyed reading about Pride and his purrsonality.

Afternoon everyone, hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. Mine was pretty good, we went over to my aunts for dinner, which was the first time we've gotten together on a holiday in a long while.

Pride really is handsome. he reminds me of my Fitz with all that fluffiness. I believe Fitz's part Maine Coon too. His name really fits, he looks so regal and proud in his pictures.

Pride, you are a beauty.
Does anyone know why some ginger cats develop freckles on their nose and mouth as they mature, and others don't? Both of my gingers have them, one is a medium orange guy with white feet and chin, the other is an orange tabby and asian mix with a bluish hue and no white.
Any thoughts?

Margaret - My vet told me they are age spots. As they get older they develope them. My ginger boy Danny (RIP) had them and my kitty Marley (flame-point Siamese mix) has them too. I have a young ginger boy named Benji and I don't think he has any yet. I'll have to check him. He's only 1 1/2 yrs. old.

If you find out why they have freckles on their noses please let me know. Both of my orange cats have had them, but only after they were a few years old. It's a mystery. I love cats more than people. I wish I were a cat, but I am not and I have to go to work now.
