Cheysuli
Cheysuli is a wonderful chocolate point Siamese. I got her from a breeder who was petting her out about three months after I lost another Siamese cat who had just found me. I had hopes that Cheysuli would be a friendly cat who loved everyone, much like my beloved Simone. Chey, however, had other ideas. Although she was a show quality cat, she had broken her tail as a kitten and couldn't compete. She had spent most of her first two and half years in a quiet home with a loving breeder/owner and several other queens. Cheysuli immediately loved my other cats but she didn't much love me. Getting to know her was a task.I used to try and just sit in the same room where she was and ignore her, hoping she'd let me pet her. Ultimately she started letting me pet her but continues to be more independent than the average cat. She cuddles with my old calico cat Georgia and plays with Gemini and she will sit on my lap. She seeks me out, but more often than not, it's because it's dinner time and she's hungry. She continues to dislike being picked up. I have noticed that as time goes on, she spends more time on my lap as I work online. I find her on my knees while watching television and near me when I read in bed. She purrs more easily when I pet her and sometimes she genuinely seems to enjoy being petted. She continues to keep her distance from my partner. He teases her regularly that the only time she likes him is when he feeds her. Chey loves her cat food and never misses a meal. Although she comes across as bossy and arrogant, she's also proven herself to be surprisingly sensitive and sweet. I look forward to continuing to get to know this enigmatic cat. Cheysuli has her own writes her own blog at http://www.mysiamese.com/ wordpress, which is part of a website devoted primarily to her, although it's supposed to be about Siamese in general. -Chey's mom

Hiya Chey!!!
I never knew Chey had a broken tail! The main thing I knew about her was her bid for the presidency in 2008.
Well, you learn something new every day! :)
