Jasper (RIP)

Jasper and I adopted each other in October, 1990 when he was about a year old. He was a very special cat! We were together for 10 years and he endured a long, long ride from Michigan to North Carolina when we moved. Jasper was a gentleman to everyone he met, human, feline or canine. He often stayed with my parents and their cats Kimo and Peaches when I would travel for work. Jasper on the red/white quilt that my mom made in the Hawaiian style - he was the only cat allowed on that quilt because he just looked so darn handsome on it! -Nora: 2Carolina Cats

Jasper certainly was a beautiful cat, and he does look fetching on that red/white quilt. He sure has beautiful fur. It makes me think of marshmallow fluff. It looks really soft. You were very lucky to have those ten years with him. He sounds like a very special kitty, and I'm sure he's being just as gentlemanly waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge.

Clay is doing quite well. Today, while I was at work, Bobby let Clay and Taylor meet face to face. There was no fighting, just a lot of hissing and growling, and following each other every where. He put Clay back in the bedroom when he came to pick me up at work. When we got home, we let Clay out of the bedroom again, but this time, Taylor cornered him in the bathroom, and Clay hid behind the toilet. So Bobby squirted Taylor, and then got him and put him out on the back porch. Then Clay went back into the bedroom, where he is now. It went much better than I thought it would.

I think that's great that Jasper was allowed on the quilt just because of how gorgeous he looked. That's a rule made by a real cat lover! All white kitties always look incredibly soft and especially regal.

I'm glad Taylor and Clay are doing so well. It sounds like everything's going just right. Next time someone has a question about adding a cat to the household, we can refer them to Barbie-Lou. I can't wait to see pictures of those two big fluffs together!
