Update: Barbie-Lou emailed the lady Diabella, and this was the reply:
Barbie..... Good news! I worked long and hard and did not go to sleep for 2 nights. They have all been placed in homes this week! I didn't want them in cages in no-kill shelters.
Tootsie and Mommie went to a great home in NYC and they are already at ease and living with 3 other cats that she has.
Pumpkin and Suzie went to a young girl in NYC who has a male cat with one eye. Pumkpin never lived with a male and he is growling and swatting at his new owner.
Crystal went to an older lady who recently lost her old cat... right here in my bldg... so I can visit.
The reason I have not yet updated the page to show the adoptions is that I need to be sure all the cats will be kept. Especailly Pumpkin because the girl is afraid that he will swat her cat's good eye and make him blind.
Thanks for your interest. dia

Please, NY folks, help find these five kitties a good home or homes. Can't believe they just lost their "Mommie" -- who is in the hospital and probably won't get out -- and now face being thrown out on the cold streets. And at holiday season, no less.
Also, don't forget the kitties at Seventh Heaven in Houston TX. These are less urgent, since they are being well cared for, but would love to have holiday homes.
I cannot believe that that poor woman's "boyfriend" is just going to throw those cats out on the streets. Can't he at least take them to a shelter, for goodness sake. This just sickens me. What is wrong with the human race? Do people think that animals are junk that they can just throw away? These animals were raised with love, and because of a jerk of a "man", they will have a terrifying and uncertain future. I am disgusted.

Good afternoon all! I just loved this little girls photo. It's like she was sayin' "Hey! We NEED your help"! It also just makes me sick that they could end up on the street or in animal control. Well, hope everyone has a great weekend! I'm off in a bit to take the boyz to see "Flushed Away". Looks hilarious!
Do you think maybe they could contact Ann Marie Lucas from Animal Precinct, New York. She works for the ASPCA. Don't they come in to help in cases like this? They rescue animals and find homes for them, at lease from what I've watched on TV. Anyway, just a thought. Better than on the streets.

That is so true B-L! Maybe email the lady about it. Or I will if you want.
I just sent an email to the lady. I hope they can find some help for these poor, defenseless kitties. Thank you for the suggestion. I would never have thought of it.

Do you'all remember the little calico kitten that momsbusy found in her hubbies car engine? Well, if you remember, her parents decided to adopt her and her name is MeMe. To see her grown up, check her out at Kazoku Neko!
Wow, good job, Kat, Barbie-Lou and Diabella.
That is just beyond comprehension that someone would dump innocent indoor cats out on the streets. So irresponsible and callous. And -- not that there is a 'good' time to dump cats -- but in the winter, at the holidays??????
this is furry good news. we love Barbie-Lou fur bein' such a concerned furrend ta kitties efurryware
Yahoo! I pray they will stay in their forever homes. Thank you for finding them homes and not giving up. God Bless.
