Katie Kitty

Katie Kitty is my little scared sweetie. Tigrrr my male cat was very lonely when another stray, which stayed temporarily with me, was adopted by a friend of mine. He really liked this male cat and was very depressed after he left my home. I decided to look for a female kitty to keep Tigrrr company. The following Saturday morning at PetSmart, which is of course adoption day, there sat little Katie Kitty in a plastic bowl in a cage. Apparently she was a feral that had kittens very young (8 months old) and they were all adopted out. Only Katie Kitty was still there. She had those gorgeous green eyes and was absolutely scared to death to be there. I asked to hold her and she trembled in my arms. I was determined to make a go of this and took her home. Even after trying to introduce them separately initially, it was a tough time. Katie Kitty despised Tigrrr for 6 whole months. I was just about to really give up on this when one day suddenly they were inseparable. Now it is really sweet to watch Katie Kitty calling for Tigrrr and he will come over and accommodate her need for love, kisses and an occasional bite to her neck which she seems to tolerate and even enjoy. I believe Katie Kitty was abused at some point in her life as she cowers at any slight movement. It took me a long time to get her to trust me, but now she is truly one of my most wonderful kitties. Katie Kitty is my sweetest kitty. She never does anything wrong and has the cutest little mew when she want to be petted. -Heidemarie

Katie Kitty is just beautiful and i really enjoyed reading about her! i love both pics...especially her all curled up in that bed so snuggly.
i'm so glad she warmed up to Tigrrr and they are now great friends. who knows what kind of life she had before she had those kittens...but at least she will be happy with you guys furrever :)
my Calico cat is very shy and timid, and i know she's never been anywhere but with me as she was born in my house. i guess some cats are just like that and maybe some day she will warm up to other people. at least she seems to like the other cats esp.her siblings and mom.

Good morning all! I love the picture of Katie sitting in the sunlit window. She looks like she's posing for the camera, but I'm sure it's a bird/squirrel that has caught her attention. So glad that her and Tigrrr finally got along and are now sweethearts!

HEY! WHAT HAPPENED TO MY COMMENT?!!! I am really starting to think that all the changes to blogger may not be for the best!

Here I go again...abridged version

Katie Kitty is so beautiful. She looks just like my Oscar, AMOF, Duncan thought it was Oscar. I love the Ginger kitties! I love them all but the Gingers are my favorite! What a heartwarming story! I'm so happy that you took her in and showed her love and patience.

Good Morning/Afternoon!

What a lovely girl! I really have a fondness for the shy ones too. The scared one in the corner is always the one I try to cuddle. I'm so glad her story has a happily ever after ending!
