Callie

Callie was found at my condominium pool complex in Florida . The old ladies were feeding her some kind of cheap cat food and she was emaciated and looking for love. I couldn’t stand to see this poor creature looking so rail thin and living under a bush probably because someone either dumped her off there or she was unable to find her way home. I took her home with me and setup a makeshift bed, litter box and food and water on my front porch. I figured if she was still there in the morning I would take her to the vet and have her checked out. The next day she was there and screaming for breakfast, now a ritual. The Vet said that she was already spayed, free from any diseases, but malnourished and had some issues with her teeth. Many were broken and in bad shape probably from having to survive on anything that was out there. Today Callie is my most vocal kitty. She is in good health with a most beautiful all white coat with some color in it, and with her vocal cries and squeaks she has the uncanny ability to convince a complete stranger that she is a poor starving ignored creature that gets no love; very smart indeed. -Heidemarie

Update** - ATTENTION - The Cat Blogosphere is back in business! Yeah! We suspect that the techs had a can of Rocy & Mao's Vishus Deer Repellant. This just in from our informative reepurter KC: The Cat Blogoshere is temporarily closed today for repairs. Rumor has it, vishus deer were seen in the area!! Stay tuned!

What a beautiful calico. Looks ver similar to my Gracie who hopefully will be a cat of the day sometime soon. Love that Calli attitude!

Another happy rescue story! She's such a pretty girl. I like the talkers too. Midnight sits near me and tells me things while looking very serious about it. Cocoa prefers the whining crying "I'm starving and I need petting" noises.

Hi Callie,
Love her story, so glad you gave her a chance.
She is really beautiful, I can just imagine her vocals and her 'poor starving kittie' routine.

Oh, Callie, you are a pretty girl, and I love the "poor starving kitty" routine! Flumpy does it too, at 11, midnight, 1 am...you get the idea. He stands on Paul, in the bed and says, "MEH!!", until someone gets up with him. It would be a little more believeable if he didn't weigh 16 lbs! Can't tell who's spoiled at our house, can you?

We are fine, Kat, it's just February. The weather is bad, my cold isn't as bad, and my mood is horrid! Like I said, it's February!
