About 13 years ago, we started noticing a small cat cross our yard. It was a small dirty white kitten who was very wild. It took months and lots of food but Ghost finally allowed me to get close to her. She was still wild and wouldn't stay inside all the time. We almost lost her about 8 years ago due to something beating her up but she is a tough girl and pulled through. She has had other health problems including an ingrown claw and losing all her teeth (they didn't all develop when she was young due to malnutrtion). She is still a very scary cat sometimes - hiding, hissing & growling when she gets upset or frightened. As she has gotten older, she spends most of her time sleeping & reminding us to leave her alone - she also has decided that inside is a much safer place to be... Even though Ghost likes her time alone nowdays, I always think back to the days of sitting outside feeding her while trying to get her to come close enough to let me touch her. I'm glad she allowed me to take care of her. -Jen

Your patience and love has given a kitty a chance at a life she probably wouldn't have had otherwise. She's so pretty and was a beautiful ruff. I love the "one eye open" picture.

awww she's just beautiful!! her fur looks so velvety soft. she looks so sweet and innocent asleep in that hideway. i'm glad she decided inside is a better life :)
and bless you for rescuing her and taking care of her thru out everything.
Poor Ghost looks like she's had a tough life. I'm glad she has a forever home. Did she lose an eye or is it just closed?

Ghost has had her left eye removed. It had a really bad infection which had caused her to lose sight in it - the vet removed it and she is much happier since it is no longer hurting her.

jen, i am sure ghost is very thankful you were so patient with her. she has been thru alot and you have been there for her. you are a special person to take her in and care for her with her serious catitude.
