Maddie

Maddie walked into our life on Sunday 9/9/2001, finding my husband, Bil, on our backyard deck. She came back 3 more times and we took the hint: we adopted her on 9/11/2001. At her spay a week later, we found out she was pregnant. Sadly, it was in her best health interest to abort the pregnancy. We think she was 9-12 months old and definitely a bit malnourished. It quickly became obvious that she was Daddy's Girl. She adores Bil and only tolerates me. I often wonder if she was mistreated by a woman when she was younger. Her nickname is Ms Flicklitter because of the work she is capable of doing with the catbox contents. She loves to go for walks in her harness and will walk around the block, tail held high, looking for anyone for her to say Hi to. She is our 9-Pound Compact Scrappy Cat who won't take guff from anyone or anything. She is the "older sister" to Kona, who was featured on Kat's wayyyyyy back on 3/23/2006. -Donna

What a pretty girl. And smart to wander in and find her right forever family.

Hi Maddie girl! It's been so long since I've seen a picture of your purrdy self! I had just totally forgotten that you'd never been posted here. MomDonna, give Maddie, Wiley and Kona some extra scritches from their auntie Kat!

Hi everyone :-) Wow, a lot of other daddy's girls out there! Thank goodness Kona and Wiley like me.

Other Maddie notes:
She can scritch behind her ear with her back claws while standing up. I've never seen another cat do it before. The others have to sit down to do it, but not Maddie, oh no.

Oh, and she gets mail too: she's got a subscription to National Geographic Magazine: It comes addressed to Ms. Madison Flicklitter. She's got her membership card and everything.

She loves to sleep on her daddy's laptop keyboard. So Millie's mom made her a laptop Gizzy quilt. She'll sleep there for hours!

Thanks for your comments on our Ms. Maddie.

Hi Donna. Hope you are doing great and going and doing a lot of those triathalon treks and seeing a lot more of that great countryside. It's been a long time since all of us commented like we used to do. So great to see Maddie again, went and checked in on Kona again and I remember that picture when it was posted, even before I read the comments again. So great Maddie that you are Daddy's girl, even Dad's need love. Cleo lets her Dad love her up too.
