Teddy

This is Teddy. A hot ginger mancat. Teddy is 17 in this picture but he's still kicking hard today at 20 and a half. He was found by my Mum and Dad in November 1987 on a small road outside a tiny village in rural west Wales in the UK. He was about 6 weeks old and Mum (furious and determined) found out that he'd been put out onto the road that morning, by a local father of 6 who told his eldest "we'll chuck him out on the road, some car will come and do for him" as a way of dealing with the last unhomed kitten of the family's female cat. Teddy landed on his feet when he went home with my parents. He has his own small oak wood, a small river to patrol along a long bank, both alive with mice, voles, squirrels and birds. His indoor life is equally perfect, he spends more time inside these days, he sleeps alot, but always manages his twice daily patrol of the garden. He has two favourite wallows in the garden, one gets the morning sun, the other the afternoon sun. Inside, he is definately the gaffer (boss) of Whicky, a jonny come lately formerly feral ex-tom, Poppy, a 14 year old poodle mongrel cross and Mum. He sleeps on half her bed every night, with his bedding arranged exactly right, he thrives on a diet of fresh food which is delivered to wherever he is sleeping at his will. Teddy is pleased to say hello to you all. -Jane

What a neat story. Teddy sure did find a great home. He is a very handsome mancat and certainly does not look (or act) his age.
Here's wishing him many more happy years... and it sounds like he has the ideal setup, his own woods and river! My cats are JEALOUS!!!

such a handsome mancat! all that fresh air and garden walks must be the secret to his youthful appearence. 3 cheers for mum for taking him in and giving him a loving home.

Hi Kat,

I've been fine and have checked your site every day. I'm still planning on sending pics of my four black cats but just need my daughter's help inserting the pictures. Hope all is well. I'm still unemployed but am switching my job search to looking for something part time. Michigan isn't an ideal place for job hunting right now.
