Whicky
Here's a picture (the only one we could find) of Whicky Wuudler, 'bro to the handsome Teddy. Whicky finds the camera a bit intimidating so we are still working on getting a good close up of him that shows off his lovely green eyes and magnigicent fat cheeks.
Whicky turned up in Mum's garden about three years ago. Feral, filthy, skinny and starving. His ears buckled with hematomas from many fights, his fur patchy and scurfy. After several months of enticing him gently with food, Mum managed to get Whicky inside of his own choice. It took many more months of comfort, food on tap and gentle petting to get Whicky to agree that some humans were ok. He was despatched to the vet for neutering, a detanglement of his damaged ears and shots. Since then, he's made himself thoroughly at home. He has his own armchair, if a visitor foolishly sits in it, they will get the Whicky Glare, followed by the Whicky Crushing, where he sits on the visiting lap and makes furious, hefty biscuits. If the visitor isn't keen on cats, and tries to move him, Whicky will not hesitate in giving the bitey. Whicky is handy with his claws, he's not malicious, he just has that feral response running through him still. Once he's used to you, he's a devoted friend. He's a very loving boy, when Mum is poorly he never leaves her side. He has a deep, rumbling purr which is a great cure for insomnia. Whicky Wuudler says hello to every cat and wishes them the same good fortune as he! -Jane

Thank you Kat for choosing Whicky as a Cat Of The Day. He's very pleased about it and sends some rumbling purrs as a thank you. Mum will be even more pleased as she's in hospital right now and very poorly. I'll print the page out and show it to her. It will cheer her up :)
Jane - I sure hope your Mum will feel better soon! I will keep her in my thoughts and purrayers!
What a neat story. And so glad Whicky was Kat's Cat while your Mum is in the hospital... this will surely cheer her.

Oh my gosh, Kat. I have been quite busy job searching all week and have not had time to visit any blogs. I just love this week's cats. We already know the handsome mancat Donny; Whicky and Mindy are adorable and Wiley looks like a cross between Ariel & Lemieux. We hope you are feeling well, just a couple more months to go! Be well.
What a wonderful story about Whicky. Hope on day to see a close-up. He is a very handsome boy.
When you get that close up of Whicky don't forget to send it to Kat again so we can see it. I am so glad that he has a forever home now and is well taken care of. After all he has gone through he deserves his own armchair. You need to put his name on it.
That's a great story. He's a handsome boy.
