Vinnie

Vinnie was a very young feral cat who got his hind leg caught between the slats at the top of an eight foot fence. Two strong firefighters and his now Daddy and Mom got him freed. The vet set his badly broken leg, but it became infected and had to be amputated. He gradually healed and then was so scared spent four months under the bedroom furniture, coming out only to eat and use his box when no one was around. One day he just came out and started to become friendly with his dog sister and his Daddy and Mom. His daddy made a window shelf for him so he could look out the window at the birdies and squirrels. He eats on the shelf, too, so the dog doesn't get his food. He is still scared of strangers but a happy cat in his forever home. His three legs take him anywhere he wants to go. -Vinnie's Auntie, Pat

Congratulations, Vinnie, on being Kat's Cat of the Day today. He is such a cute cat. What an exciting rescue story, sorry he lost his leg, but glad he is healing. He was really lucky he found a forever home at the same time he was rescued. And he's got a bestest friend woofie. Does he have a blog so we can visit him???

Vinnie, so great that you can use your three legs to an advantage. It'a amazing how you animals can accomodate so we cannot call you handicapped. I had a dog that you could say had three legs. He had four but only could use three. So glad you finally came out and joined your family. Patches was hiding in a inhouse store room for a very long time as she was scared also. But now she is one of the lovingingest cats I have.
