CC (RIP)

My name is Mary and this is my cat C.C. C.C. passed away on May 6, 2007 at the age of 14. She was my mom's cat and later became my cat after my mom passed away. Her story is a long one and it cannot be told without telling the story of another cat named Green Eyes. So, I will give you a link to C.C.'s page on my website. There you can read the entire story of my 'baby C' and learn how she and Green Eyes came into our lives. -Mary

Hi everyone,

Mary, C.C. was such a pretty little lady. I love the pose she took in the picture, so ballet-like!

Hope it's happy and that you can fir in a bit of "me" time and enjoy the day!

I know, long time no post... :(

Isn't CC just beautiful! Love those soft green eyes!

So great to hear from you Rose! I hope all is well. How are the fuzz? I did see your last post... can't remember now if I commented though, lol! It's been semi-chaotic with a new baby in the house. Thanks so much for the b-day wishes!

Such a beautiful story of a beautiful feline-lady. I'm so sad for Mary, but I'm so grateful she had the opportunity to live with an amazing cat. I had one, Nicky, I was his boy and I always will be.

Oh yes, a little girl! I remember my dad loved to hold babies (my cousins) up to the christmas tree and see if he could get them to focus on something shiny and get a babysmile out of them! It generally worked for him!
My Fuzz are Fine! Emily has not only graciously allowed Brutus and Emily into the family, she even lets Brutus go first in most cases, and it is "ALLOWED", not "GIVING IN"! Brutus is very competitive, in that little brother "No, Me First!!" and "That's Mine" kind of way!
They're great sparring partners, and Emily will initiate the battle just as often as Brutus does! It's always a draw! Marigold has a dual personality. Sometimes, she will shy away from me, and if you were watching you would think I abused her! BUT, an hour later, she's INSISTING on a thorough body massage! She's nocturnal, and likes to get the other two worked up at about 10:00 pm!
Would anyone know why Marigold might have this shy steak, because I know for a fact she was handled with great love and affection since she was 3 days old...any advice would be appreciated!
Oh, and can you believe - they will be 2 years old in April, and Emily's going to be 4?!
(I feel so old...oh wait, I am old, never mind!) *heh-heh*

Mary: i'm sorry for the loss of your mother and beautiful kitties. CC is gorgeous! i love her sweet face. i have a feeling i'll be needing some kleenex when i click your link, but i will read it a bit later. thanks for posting... i have to go out and don't want to run to the store all rednose and eyes! lol

emilyrose: i have 4 babies that are 2 yrs old now i have raised them since birth (still have their mum too!) and all have had the same amount of handling, love, attention, etc and two are still very shy also. i guess it's just their genes. the other two are shy initially but come out eventually to new people. but two of them just hide and have no interest in socializing with other people. i guess it doesn't help that we live alone and don't have many guests.

Hi jess!
Thanks for your advice about my Marigold...it must be genetic, and that she was the 'runt' of the litter of 3 older brothers didn't help! She does come out in a while to look at people after she's heard their voices, but by that time my other two kittehs have made themselves nests among the humans. Admittedly, I don't have too much company, either, so I understand her shyness abit more now...thanks so much for your imput! Always appreciated!
