Sheba

This is Sheba. She is a 12-year-old Himalayan. After the unexpected death of my son's cat, Ozzy, I was looking in the newspaper on Labor Day, 1998, and saw the ad from the breeder who owned her that she was up for adoption, so I called and went to see her. The breeder had purchased her from the top Himalayan cattery in the country. She is very small for a Persian, not even 6 lbs! Both her litters had to be delivered by C-section, so the breeder spayed her and was planning to keep her, but the other females didn't like her, so she was giving her up. I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her! She was very shy. As soon as I took her home, she hid under the recliner in the living room. I put her food, water & litter next to the chair, hoping she would eventually come out. A couple of days later when I looked under the chair she was gone. My son & I looked all over for her with no luck--I was beginning to panic. We kept calling her name until finally my son heard her meow in answer. She had gotten into his dresser in the space behind a drawer! He had to take the dresser apart to get her out. She finally adjusted and now follows me around everywhere and sits on my lap every night. -Barbara

Sheba is a gorgeous petite little girl. she certainly doesn't look 12! isn't it funny how they find the smallest place to hide when they don't want to be found?! i'm glad you had the patience to let this little girl warm up to you; she looks and sounds like a sweetheart :)

and i'm sorry for your loss of Ozzy :(
