Susy & Kittens
This is a case of a kitten having kittens. A nice couple adopted Susy and her brother from a box of kittens being given away outside a grocery store when they were about six weeks old. They were going to have her spayed and her brother neutered but had heard that that should be done when kittens are about six months old. This little girl was brought to the veterinary hospital where I work because the owners thought she was constipated. Actually, she was in labor with kittens she couldn't deliver because her pelvis was too small and immature. She was less than six months old and since she had never been outside the house, the father had to be her brother. We did an emergency C-section and saved three of the kittens, though it was very difficult to resuscitate the little calico female. The poor mother, just a kitten herself, woke up to find these strange little things trying to snuggle up to her. She didn't know what they were or what to do with them, and she had no milk. Things were touch-and-go for a day, then her milk came in and she figured out that these were kittens and they were hers, and she turned into an excellent doting mother. All three kittens have good homes -- the vet tech who worked so hard to get the calico to breathe adopted her. The mama was spayed at the C-section, and her brother has been neutered. -Kay in Oregon

Good Morning!
Awww, little Susy! I nearly had a similar situation with Brutus and Marigold! Some vets either won't do "pediatric neutering" or aren't equipped to. I think Momma Grace was about the same age as Susy when she had her litter, so much for that "Old Vet's Tale"!
She's a LOVELY young mother! So happy they have their forever homes!
Suzy is indeed a lovely kitty Mom. What a wonderful ending to the story. We are all glad that all the of kitties got adopted into forever homes.
What an ordeal for little Suzy. We are glad that all the kits got such good homes!
Poor Susy. That was a lot for her to go through. She's a great kitty to have made it through and to be a good mum to her kits!
Bless her kitten heart! Glad to hear she and her kittens are doing well and all have good homes.

I agree, an very touching story!
My what a story. Poor Susy, having babies when she was a baby herself. I honestly didn't think they could have kittens that young. Boy, I sure learned something today. So very glad they all found good forever homes.
What a beautiful little mommie with her babies. So glad it turned out good and she got the help of a vet.
That's very much like Momma Dinah with her 6 kittens, except she managed to have them all about 6 hours before the scheduled C-section.
So glad she had someone like Kaye to care for her. And aren't those kittens gorgeous.

Please pray that my mama and daddy don't have to give us away when they move to Thailand this year! We want to stay with them…

anyway, i think Susy and her babies are just gorgeous. i didn't realize they could get pregnant that young. i'm lucky it didn't happen here since i kept Princess and her babies (now 2 yrs.old) but my vet wouldn't fix them til 6 months either.
i hope Susy is getting the chance to be a kitten now ;) she is such a cutie.
