Silky, a year older than her brother Luxor, is a true sweetheart. Before she came to live with us, she became a Grand Champion and then was bred, but this didn't work out too well. She became quite emaciated and even had to be separated from her kittens for the sake of her health. She and her kittens were briefly reunited before we drove to Phoenix to bring her home and I guess they all missed each other for quite some time. However, it was love at first sight when she and Luxor met, as if they knew somehow they were related. These two have been inseparable ever since, and can usually be found wound around one another in some form or fashion. Even though she's much tinier than he is, she won't let him push her around, either. She chases him as much as he chases her (and I think they both enjoy it). She becomes so excited at the mere suggestion of affection from us that she throws herself about in total abandon, unable to keep still long enough to even be stroked for any length of time. She'll jump up, then throw herself back down. Up. Down. One of her favorite things to do is climb onto my shoulder and then drape herself around my back, rubbing her face against my hair. She's also a kisser - right on the lips! So, in her own understated way, she's as much a character as her brother is. Best, Elaine
