Missy Blue Eyes

This is Missy. She has the biggest blue eyes! Here she is in her fave sleeping position. Beside her is her M. Bastin bird pillow, which she carries everywhere w/her. "Guess it has memories for her since she started life as a "street kitten"'. -ML (Mary Lynn)

Sweet kittie, posing so nicely for the picture.

What a sweet-looking kitty! She looks like the lovable type. How funny that she'll carry her own special pillow around to have near her.

Hi Missy!

What a beautiful, big girl! I love big kitties, they are so cuddley! She may have started out as a street kitty but she looks like she's settled into domestic life just fine. I love that she carries her pillow around. It reminds me of that Petsmart commercial with the Daschound and his oversize stuffed animal. Hope you've seen it because it really is cute. Thanks for being such a good Mommy to your Missy Blue Eyes!

Good morning all,

Missy Blue Eyes is gorgeous! She reminds me of my Newton who is in kitty heaven now. He was also a big kitty (14 lbs) but otherwise very healthy until we found out he had cancer of the lungs.

Missy has the good life and looks content. She also looks like she if an absolute cuddle-bunny.

What a sweetie. She doesn't look like she even remembers her life as a street kitten. (I think they do though). But she looks very happy and content. Rub her belly for me.

Hi all,
Had to mention in the photo, Missy is actually sleeping on my laptop, one of her favorite napping spots!
And I was reading the comments -- think on the Daily Kitten -- about cats that drink out of glasses. Missy goes crazy when I get a bottle of Dasini -- has to have her own little glass. Not too spoiled, huh!

Good morning, All--Missy is a beautiful big girl. She looks very "plush": short hair, but lots of it.

Danni-did you have to mention her t-u-m-m-y(I spelled it, rather than saying it)?

We had a lovely day here yesterday, 60's, some sun, not too much wind. Flumpy was very busy with the first wabbit hunt of the season. He LOVES wabbit huntin'. He also gets the occasional mole(I'd like it if he got more), but he says they taste bad, so he just leaves them.

LOL, Rosie, you crack me up.... Is it just me, or does MBE look a little like Casper???? I think so... what a lovely little(?) girl... Bryan ADORES the "plump" ones...

Sweet Missy Blue eyes looks like my Casper except he doesn't have the white paws. What a sweetie she is. Looks like she is part Siamese also. Does her eyes cross? Casper's real mom was pure Siamese and one thing I am so grateful for is that Casper didn't inheret was that piercing yowl the Siamese has.

ML (Mary Lynn) said...

Hi again, I have no idea about Missy's ancestry. She has ice blue eyes and are not crossed. Casper did remind me a lot of Missy, but his eyes are a lot darker. Missy also has a rose-colored heart shaped nose outlined in black!!! She weighs twelve pounds, but insists she is "fluffy not fat". She eats only a cup of dry cat food per day and hates any treats (except for the glasses of Dasini and ice). Her tummy has a lot of deep cream as well as the white. And her fur is sort of like a rabbit's, except thicker. Her tail looks just like a raccoon. She has the tabby cat "M" on her forhead. This is our first cat, so don't know much about them except what I've been following on the blogs. How did I live this long without a cat????? I used to be scared of them, can you believe. Now I can't get enough of 'em. -- ML

What a beautiful kitty - and I love the eyes! That must be so cute to see her carrying the pillow around. Two of my cats like to carry their favorite toys around the house and I always have to point it out and squeal "Look, how cute!" I think my kids are getting tired of me trying to make them look at the cats.

So glad you are not afraid of them any longer. They can be so much fun. The last time Casper was weighed he was twelve pounds also. His belly is mostly a beige color. Can't help but wonder what kind of kitties and what they would look like if Missy and Casper were mated. Has to be imagination as Casper cannot have any kittens as I'm probably sure Missy can't either.

Casper's tail looks like a racoons also.

When I pulled up the close-up of Missy, I thought of Casper, and yes, I wondered what their kittens would look like.

Mary Lynn, welcome to the world of cats! My Mom didn't like cats, as she grew up with dogs. I talked her into letting me have one when I was 9. She relented and has been a cat lover ever since. When our Fluffie and Tobi died (18 years old) she was so upset. She now has three of her own and can't imagine life without them. Her cat's BTW are 10 years old.

My Bil was another one who never grew up with cats, only dogs, so he never thought of himself as a cat person. So whenever we talked about getting a pet, I wanted cats and he would say "We'll see" and he kind of wanted a dog. Then, Maddie appeared on our back deck one night and now Bil is a cat person through-and-through. He doesn't even want a dog anymore, though he still likes them.
Maddie: 51/2-ish years old, a bit chunky at 10.5 pounds.
Kona: 5 years old on 7 June, a very nice 12.5-13.0 pounds. He is so proportional the weight fits him.
Wiley: 3-ish years old, 11.5 pounds or so and I can't tell if it's "fluff or fat".

I hope Wiley appears here or on Rita's site someday.

Ooooh, wonderful :-) (Oh, and she's a she...kind of hard to tell with her androgenous name).

Thanks! I can't wait for everyone to meet her.
