Newton

Here is a picture of Newton, he was my first fur baby of which I loved with all my heart. In this photo, as you can see he liked to climb into any small space. This picture is of him climbing into a hutch which is at our shore home in Cape May, NJ. Newton is no longer with us, he went to the rainbow bridge on November 1st of 2005. He is missed every day by our entire family. WE LOVE YOU LITTLE GUY and ALWAYS WILL. -Linda

I'm sorry to hear about Newton. It's so hard to lose pet. They are so much a part of the family. This is such a wonderful picture. What a beautiful nose, eyes, face! It looks like he was hiding and was found. Thanks for sharing your baby with us.

Morning All

Oh Linda--What a beautiful boy Newton is, and a great picture!!

I'm so sorry you've lost him. They do wrap their little paws around our hearts, don't they? I know for me, the Rainbow Bridge is a big help. The idea that they are not alone, and are with their buddies is a comfort.

Goodmorning! Isn't Newton a handsome boy! Gotta love those big green eyes!

Thank you Jan for the picture!

Hey Rita! Are you near that huge, I guess they called it, brush fire? I saw the huge cloud of billowing black smoke, and then saw that it was in Miami, County Dade FL. They had to close down part of the highway too. Let us know.

Dang Linda! I'm breakin out the tissues!! ::sniffle:: I definately understand what you mean. My Danny Boy is also buried in our backyard. We had a little funeral, said our goodbyes and buried him in the flower garden. Gosh!, that will have been 2 yrs. ago this June. We planted sun-flowers in his memory and still haven't, but are planning to have a garden stone engraved for him. I miss my Danny so much too!
:sniffle:: Thanks again for this great pic. We will never forget our little angel kitties!

I am at work, and now my makeup is all smeared!
Newton was a beautiful baby. Sorry for your loss, they definitly leave their pawprints on your heart.
I don't even want to think about my babies going to the rainbow bridge.

Hi Linda,
Newton is so handsome! Beautiful markings, and I can tell by looking in his eyes he had an "old soul". I had a cat, my Zuzu, who was very similar. I had abdominal surgery, and the surgeon used an open procedure instead the laparosopic method? I had a stapled incision about 10" long. My first day home, Zuzu very gently came toward me, and paw by paw inched her way onto my stomach
and covered the wound with her warm fuzzy body & purred - this went on for weeks! Our felines know how to take care of us, and I also like your term The Rainbow Bridge. Ihe image of all my pets being together is so heartwarming!
Kat1, Thank you for this site! We can share our adult FUZZ with each other, it's really nice. When my friend David gives he a tutorial of how to send pix, I'll send you a pix of Emily...thanks again!

Go to www.rainbowsbridge.com for the whole poem and the idea behind it. As I said, the whole concept helps a lot.

Dang--Flumpy is tummy-up on Paul's desk--and the camera is out in the shop!! Paul is building an airplane(yes, a real one-2 seats and everything), and takes pictures of EVERYTHING!

Kat-glad the picture made.

Yippee--my profile(still incomplete) is up.

Purrs to all...

Jan, you got the best random question ever on your profile!! Love the answer you gave. So true!

I guess I should start signing w/my registered blogger name too. Nobody can see my profile because I sign Kat1. I'll start using Katmaster.

You know, until the other day I wasn't sure how to leave a profile. I'm not the most computer savvy person! Anyway, I saw that people had been checking mine out and I wondered if there was suppose to be something to see, DUH! So I have figured out what to do and now have a profile, yippee! I love reading everyone's profile. I have to admit, at first I thought I would read about all kinds of young kids and women in their early twenties. I WAS WRONG! I can't believe how many poeple there are who are my age and older. The majority of us are women in at least their thirties, we all have similiar interests, and it's wonderful! I feel like I'm really getting to know you ladies!

I love all the stories behind each cat. The happy, the sad, it's all so true and easy to relate to! We've all been there or will be one day. One thing is for certain, we all love our pets as if they really were our own human children!!! Thank you each and everyone of you for that special glimps into your lives, it really does let me know that I'm not alone out here in cyberspace, wondering if anyone could ever really know how I feel about things. I love this special family we have here!

OK, mushy time is over! Sorry to babble on!

Hi Newton (sniff, sniffle). I can't even think of the Rainbow Bridge without feeling like I'm going to choke up! Like Riquel, I try not to think about that time for our fur babies.

I don't have a blogger account for a profile but here's the Cliff's Notes version of me: 46 years young; married almost 15 years to Bil; our kitties are our "children". We live in Bellingham, WA, north of Seattle, 20 miles to Canada. My interests are our cats, running/triathlon, and Harry Potter. We pay the mortgage and our cats let us live here.

Cheers everyone!

Ooops got caught in the cubby hole. What a cute sweetie. I am so sorry for your loss but oh so grateful that he brought you so much joy. Don't know if I should devulge my age or not, but I'm over the hill. I hope that I can be a fuzz regular too. I am 68, married to Frank for 46 years in May, my three children are grown and all love their animals. (Wonder where they got that from) I now have four cats and 1 dog. One cat belongs to my daughter and couldn't take him when she left so guess he's mine now. I never thought I would get so caught up in all this love and sites with the animals. Can't believe that when that Dailykitten.com popped up on my yahoo site it would come to this. Oooops blabbing long enough.

That's how I got started with the Daily Kitten. One day it popped up on MY Yahoo page as I was reading the headlines. It asked if I wanted to make it a setting and I decided that it was cute and so sure, I would make it a setting. Little did I know then that it would become such a big part of my daily routine!

Donna, if you've read my profile then you already know that I love Harry Potter!!! My email address is listed on my profile, email me sometime so we can "talk shop".

Hi Kim, I've already read your profile and I sent you an email (yesterday, maybe?) The address was a 'triskart' address I hope you get the email.

I had a scare last night. My clever Kona-boy found a loop-hole to get out of our kitty-fenced backyard. Bil and I looked for him for 15 minutes, but it was starting to get dark, and I felt a few drops of rain. We came back in hoping that he'd get hungry and want back in soon.

Five minutes after coming back in, I noticed Maddie's body language as she looked out the front window. It was an "I see something" look she had. I looked out the window by our front door and there was Kona, by the front porch steps. I opened the door and he came right in.

I suspect he never went farther than under our front porch (though we looked several times) or, more likely, our neighbor's front porch. Looking for a black cat when it's getting dark is not easy.

But, I was sooooooooo relieved and, as you would to a child, I told him he was "so grounded". Whew. I suspect he knew he'd been bad because he didn't "ask" to go back out for the rest of the night.

Today, I let him back out in the yard and followed him and he "showed" me how he got out. I think we've plugged that hole!

Sorry if this is not an appropriate venue (today *is* Newton's day), but I knew you all would understand how upset and fearful I was while looking for him.

What a beautiful boy with such gorgeous eyes! I'm glad this picture popped up today because I'm stuck at home (due to car troubles) and I hate to cry at work. I'm off to find the tissues...

So glad Kona's okay. I surely (sp?) don't mind you talking about anything here. I know how you felt. My Danny Boy loved to wait for the right moment and then as Emmeril would say, BAM! he was out the front door. He was especially good at this. Like you, I would look for him for a good 15 mins. then come home and back & forth till he came home or we found him. I worried and thought of all the bad things that could happen. We live in a big neighborhood w/lots of streets and DOGS. And tomcats as well. Danny was all of 8lbs 7oz. His escaping actually led to his death w/cancer. But that's another story. I will post Danny as soon as I can fit him in. You tell Kona, his aunts here at Kat's Cat said he better behave!

Allright, I'm panicking...J/J. But for real! What's going on with TDK??!! I can't even get into the site. I get a white screen w/some kind of server error! Is anyone else having problems?

Emma's Kat said...

Nevermind...it's okay now. Phewww!

Lynn said...

Newton looks like a real handsome guy. I'm sorry to hear that he is gone.

Kat TDK does seem to be having some trouble today. I had the same thing happen to me earlier when I tried to log on. I just tried it again and it came up though.
I sent you a pic of my Ella too. Let me know if you didn't get it.

I've been having problems with TDK - I got the SAME error message on a few days, and wrote it off to Yahoo's server. It's been posting at really odd times (in NJ, anyway)
Much later than usual. But other sites on Yahoo have been freezing up, sort of, on me too...I'm not sure what's up...

Emma's Kat said...

It's gotta be Yahoo. My Yahoo Music isn't working. It's saying the server's down.

Got your pic Lisa.

Oscar the Puppy Cat said...

Hi Donna, got your email and replied.

Yep, it's gotta be Yahoo. I've been having a lot of trouble with Yahoo over the last couple of days. It freezes up on me constantly.
