Pablo

Hello, my name is Beth, I just went to the Daily Kitten site and found that it was having temporary problems loading... I did find a link to your site from the page, so I'm submitting a few photos of my 10-month-old cat Pablo. Hope you like the pics! -Beth R.

Good Morning Beth, nice to meet you! Thanks for sharing Pablo with us! He is a beautiful boy! I love his face, it's full of character! His eyes are very inquisitive. He really is a cutie!

Morning All! Anyone hear from Danielle?

Pablo is so handsome! Good morning all! He looks like a charcoal grey tuxedo. I don't think he would be considered a tuxedo since he's grey though. He has all the markings just not the right color. Like Kim said, he has so much expression in his eyes.

Kim, Nothing yet.

Good morning all. I had to work in CT yesterday so no computers. Pablo is adorable!!!! He looks like he is saying "Well you gonna pet me or what?" (pic 1) Thanks for sharing.

Jake is still at the vet. He was not able to go to the bathroom to the extent where the doctor was satisfied. Hopefully today. I have bben everyday to visit. I HATE leaving him there. It is in his best intrest though. He is missed at home. I will find out later today if he can come home. I'm so excited! That's enough for now. Talk tou you all later. THANK YOU SO MUCH for all you have done.

Hola Pablo! Aren't you a handsome boy?! For only being 10 months old, he looks very wise....

Hi Beth, Pablo has certainly has a regal bearing. What a handsome face, such aristocratic, noble look he has. Thank you for sharing him with us. His coloring is beautiful.
Danielle, thanks for updating us on Jake. Poor baby. I am glad he is at the vet's, that is best for him right now. Please keep us posted. ...ML

Hi Pablo!

10-months old. That's such a cute age. Leaving kitten-hood behind and trying to look and act like an "adult". Yet, they're still really just kittens.

Danielle, I'm sorry Jake had to spend another night at the vet. I know how you feel. If any of our cats have to spend the night at the vet, I just cry thinking about them being there "all alone" (which means, of course, without us. I often wonder if it's harder on us than them). Anyway, you know that we're all thinking positive thoughts for him to go home today.

Welcome Beth and thanks for sharing Pablo. He is a real sweetie. Cleo is about the same age as Pablo and she is joy to me as I know Pablo is a joy to you. He looks like he is going to go into his kitten mode as soon as you are done taking his picture.

Oh by the way Danielle, more kitty prayers going Jake's way so he can come home soon.

Pablo is quite a handsome boy! He looks like he rules the house and knows it - so cute!

Hugs, kisses and purrrrs to Jake - come home soon!

Hello again Pablo. You look like you're going to be a big boy. And yes, you look about ready to spring into action.

About leaving our cats at the Vet. I know how that feels too, I had to leave Oscar to be boarded for a WEEK at the Vet. I hated it, I was miserable! It's like Donna said, it's because they're without us. All I could think was that he was going to be all alone at night. He probably didn't care, he probably slept, but I had the problem. With a handicapped son who has all his surgeries out of town, I am having to leave Oscar at the Vet. I hate the idea! Anyone live near Arkansas?!!! But I know he'll be OK. He has a great Vet and the animals get plenty of attention. Still, if you live near Arkansas...! LOL!

Hello again,
Kim how is Oscar doing?

Jake gets to come home today YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited. My pockets are empty but my heart is full.

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :)

Paul sez "There is NO SUCH THING as a "free" kitten!!" How true...but a full heart and Jake at home trumps empty pockets every time. The gang-even The Dog-send purrs and happy thoughts your way, Jake and Danni!!

BETH-welcome to our crazy little community, your Pablo is a very handsome guy. For one so young, he looks like an old soul. At one point, my family was owned by a gentleman cat in a grey suit and white spats, so I have a soft spot for them.

KATNIPPIA- I hope your move is as smooth and pain-free as possible. When we got married, Paul was in the Air Force, so we moved 9 times in 8 years. I does help with the clutter, but it wasn't fun.

KIM- I'm so glad Oscar is better, but I know what you mean about boarding. The Dog sez it's "Doggie Camp," and he loves it; the cats say "Kitty Jail" and get us OUT OF HERE. We have been very fortunate in finding good cat sitters over the years.

Today seems to be my day to babble--enough already!!

Danielle, that's AWESOME news!!!! I'm so happy for you both!!! Give him lots of hugs and kisses from his online support group!

Oscar is doing much better. He's just about back to his old self. I'd say he's 100%. There is one new plus to the whole situation, he now lets us rub his tummy for a short time. That's a first! Thank you for you concern. Again, love that boy for me!

Jan, you're so right!

I'm so glad both Jake and Oscar are doing better. He will be back to being himself again in no time.

Let me chime in that I'm so glad to hear the news for both Oscar and Jake.

Kim, thanks for letting me know I'm not alone in what is likely an irrational response when kitties have to spend the night(s) at the vet. And if I lived anywhere near you, I'd kitty sit. But Washington state is a bit far away...

Oh, I was just thinking about kitty sitting. Bil and I are taking a special trip in June--a 10-day visit to Stockholm, Sweden (where we'll run their marathon) and then a few days in Reykjavik, Iceland. It will be neat. But just thinking about being gone makes me miss our cats before we even leave!

Bless my sister, though, she decided that she could use up some vacation time and come house- and kitty-sit for us while we're gone (she lives in San Francisco). What a relief. I don't think I could have settled for someone coming in for only 20-30 minutes (or less??) twice a day for 10 days just to feed, water, and scoop. I want our kitties to have some company while we're gone....

Emma's Kat said...

I too have been lucky when it comes to a kitty sitter. My neighbor next door comes and feeds them. But so far we haven't gone on any trips longer that a weekend. I'm not sure what I'll do if we have to go longer than 3 or 4 days. I guess I'll deal w/it when that day comes. With kids, we haven't gone on any long vacations!

I just can't get over how handsome Pablo is!

Oh, I have a great website that'll drive your cats crazy! You may have already been to a site w/cat sounds, but...anyways, when you go to the site, click on Cat sounds. The kitten sounds even made my dog Sammie come upstairs to look for this little kitten (on the computer...lol). Oh, it was hilarious and yet mean at the same time. I laughed so hard while appoligizing (sp?) to Emma and Sammie at the same time! Benji I guess being the boy he is, didn't seem to notice this kitten in the computer. Okay, here's the address: www.kessels.com Tell me what your kitties did. :)

Thank you for letting us know about Jake. I am so glad, happy, relieved, etc. to hear that he is coming home today. That is gonna be one happy little cat. Don't imagine he'll get too much attention!!!
And glad to hear Oscar is on his way to a full recovery (scar butt no more????).
Thanks for keeping us posted...ml

Oscar the Puppy Cat said...

Oh, he's still scarbutt! He is being a pill. He loves pictures taken of his tummy! Everytime I sneak up on him to take a picture of his fanny, he stops what he's doing and rolls over! Even while he's eating!!! I'm determined to get a picture though!

Kat, I got more of a reaction out of my kids. Oscar wasn't interested but my kids went haywire! They didn't realize at first that it was the computer and thought I had gotten them another kitten! Poor things, they really wanted a kitten. But they loved it none the less!

Danielle, have you picked Jake up yet? Like ML said, you don't think Jake will get much attention when ge gets home, do you???!!!!! LOL!

Wow Donna, that sounds so awesome!!! You'll have to take pictures of your trip! It's great that your sis can come up to help! We had a pet sitting service when we lived in Tulsa. Now that we're in such a small town, that's not even something they've heard of here. If I didn't travel so much, I'd think of starting that type of business here!

Pablo you are still a very handsome boy. i love the white wishkers, and the golednes,

Danielle, I'm happy to hear that Jake gets to come home today. I know what it's like my older boy Taps stayed at the vets for a day and a half for a bladder infection. It's not a fun thing to wait and see at all.

Thanks Kim and meowmepurrs, I to do hope my move is a smooth one. You never really know how much stuff you have till you go to pack everything up.
\
Anyone have any helpful tips i don't know about for moving with kitty children. Mine hate to travel period.

Oscar the Puppy Cat said...

Most of our cats were fine when we would travel or move, as long as they were in a carrier and it was covered with a towel. Oscar hates to travel so much and has such a nervous bladder that we had to vet a tranqualizer from the vet. We hated to do that but it was so necessary. Moving with kids, human or furry, is never fun! Let us know how it goes.

Meowmepurr's Mumma said...

Paul and I have totally different styles when it comes to cats in cars. I believe in carriers and kitty valium when necessary--and turn up the radio. Paul likes Flumpy on his lap and Meepsie bouncing off the windows-AAAHHH!!

DONNA--your trip sounds awesome--have a great time, and purrs to your sister. I will be the Travelling Cat Sitter in June as well. My sister and her mob are going on vacation, so I will be staying at her home in Tucson for the last 2 weeks in June. She has 3 cats and 2 dogs--the kennel bill last summer was more than the airfare for the 4 of them! The big reason I go though, is Our Mother lives next door; we are no longer comfortable leaving her by herself for 2 weeks. She is 78 and quite spry, still drives, and cares for herself. She also has an old, blind and mostly deaf dog--who knocks her over more and more. THAT'S what scares us! So, I get 2 weeks of "quality" time with Mother, and the use of a three bedroom house(with pool!) and Kitty's fun critters. Paul will stay home, so our critters will be fine--I think I'M the big winner here...
