BeBe

This handsome dude is named Bebe. He was a stray kitten that my sister adopted 9 years ago. He's a "people cat" and likes to hang out in whatever room the family is in. -Linda Wong

Bebe has the most amazing eyes! They're the prettiest shade of green. His face is so handsome. He looks like he might be a big kitty, how much does he weigh? He really is a beautiful cat! Thanks for sharing him with us.

What a handsome fellow! His green eyes are breathtaking! They almost don't look real. Great photo of him! He looks strong and wise.

Loa~ I would like to see your kitties too. Do you have a digital camera? Or do you know someone who does?

Momsbusy ~ Just read your comment from last night. I am just east of Savannah, GA so about 2 hours from Columbia. I took the kids to the Riverbanks Zoo during spring break. We loved it.

Morning everyone! Bebe is adorable and "handsome", that dignified beautiful cat look. Yes, and what amazing green eyes.

Hi Bebe!

My uncle lives in (on?) St. Simons Island, GA. My sister was visiting him just last week, and she also went to see Savannah. She lives in San Francisco.

Wow Loa, Iceland! How neat! I hope you figure a way to get pics in to Kat! If you don't have a digital camera, you can take a film camera to Walmart, Walgreens, or any drug store and they'll put your film on a disk. Then you just download the free software and you can email your pictures anywhere. HOpe to see your kitty's soon!

Donna ~ Just read your Kitty pages on your link. Love the stories. Isn't it funny how our cats sort of enter our lives and we have doubts and then, in time, we wonder what we would ever do without them. I am amazed by your Ironman competitions. You Go Girl! I have a hard time walking 3 times a week. Uhg! I admire and applaud you.

St. Simons Island is nice. I hope your sister enjoyed Savannah. It is a charming place. My sister lives outside of Los Angeles. She will be here to visit the last week of May. I am hoping to convince her to move out here.

linda - bebe is so handsome. love the green eyes.i really, really like the smudge of black on his nose. it looks as though he didn't clean his face well after getting something good to eat. my meka has a smudge around her nose. thanks for sharing your pretty boy w/ us.

Shirley!...who's Meka??! We have not heard of this fuzzball yet, have we? I'm looking back at my list...Nope, don't see a Meka by your name! Do you know the rule of mentioning a kitty here at Kat's Cat???!! I better get a picture...pronto! lol

sped - my oldest daughter lived in savannah for a year. it is really beautiful there. but of course the further south you go the hotter it gets. mid-south carolina is bad enough to me. i am a fall/winter person. shes in durham n.c. now and she hates cold weather. LOL

kat1 - this site has really brought together cat lovers from all over. it really is a small world since technology has advanced. just think, it wasn't so long ago none of this was possible. we wouldn't have been able to share all of out special kitties with each other. so sad. thanks for taking the time to give us a peek into so many happy cats lives.

Kat1 - sorry, i meant kimiko. she has the smudge. meka is my calico girl from many years ago. she was very, very special to me. i still think of her often. i will have to scan some pics of her to email you. i will try to get them to you this weekend. probably tomorrow as we are going to the races at darlington international dragway today!!!

SpEd, thank you for your kind comments on our kitties. And, yes, my sister did really like Savannah. Except that she said she nearly got eaten alive by mosquitos! She calls herself a "mozzie magnet". Her friend traveling with her only got 1 single bite. LOL.

As for the Ironmans, I've done 2: Ironman Wisconsin 2002 (loved Madison!) and Ironman Canada (Penticton, BC). My times were 14:58 and 15:40 (hours:minutes). As you can see I'm not very fast, but I finish standing up with a smile on my face, before the 17-hour cutoff. :-) I'm really more of a runner.

Loa--my husband and I are going to Stockholm, Sweden on June 1st (to run their marathon) and then we're going to spend 4 days in Reykjavik, Iceland before coming home! We're especially excited about seeing Iceland. How neat that that's where you're from. Do you still live there?

Hi, Gang! Thanks for all the nice comments about Bebe. He's our oldest boy cat and weighs about 15 pounds. When we acquired Tiger (see cat from April 18th) Bebe became "big brother" to him. Tiger followed him all over the place and Bebe was very tolerant of him. Though Bebe IS a people cat, he can be temperamental at times. He even hissed at me and gave me a swat last night when I petted him when he wasn't in the mood. Other times, he'll be rubbing his wet smudged nose all over my toes when I'm watching TV and then flop over with his rump on my foot. He likes feet! LOL!

Love this Bebe. He is one handsome cat. Also love the smudge nose and the green eyes.

Donna I too think it is amazing about your ironman runs. I also think it's really neat that you and your husband do it together.

Well loa, it's nice to have you here :-)

Kitty bed with 11 (count 'em, 11) kittens in it over at cuteoverload.com. Click to enlarge the picture. Oh my gosh, definitely a cute overload!

After a beautiful Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday with summer-like temps in the upper-60s to almost 70, today is gray, damp, sprinkly and chilly. Sigh. About ready to turn the fireplace back on!

Oscar the Puppy Cat said...

Donna, wasn't that big mass of fluff and fuzz, just the cutest?! I had to enlarge to make sure I had all of them counted properly!

I just tried to post, and the computer ate it! AArghh!!
I just said that I think BeBe is a person in a cat suit, judging from those knowing, green eyes...and how he reminded me of my Emily (pic IS coming, Kat!)
who will do the same as BeBe when you've exceeded her affection tolerance - instead of hissing, she moans before swatting!

Kat, Rosie's right, the Quote of the Week doesn't always come up for me, either...I was thinking Blogger was hyper-busy...

Oh, excuse my rudeness...Happy Weekend, everyone!

I counted the kittens 3 times to make sure I wasn't missing any of them.

OK, I'm caught up with all the photos of Maddie and Kona and Wiley for awhile--they're up on ironcats.com/OurCats.
I'm sure they get monotonous for everyone else but I like looking at them ;-)

I still want to experiment around with video clips but I think I'll work on a different area of the website for awhile before tackling those.

Rose, I like that--a human in a cat suit. Have you ever caught your cat staring at you and you just wonder what in the world it's thinking? Cats look just so intelligent.

Bebe is such a handsome fellow, such beautiful clear green eyes. Love the expression on his face. Great picture!

Bebe is a strong willed cat. Yes Kat1, he has faint stripes on his sides and especially his tail. Though his feet are white, his paw pads are gray. He's not a lap cat and doesn't like to be carried but he'll rub on you and give you head butts when he's being friendly. Since he doesn't like being held, it takes two people to cut his claws. One to hold him and distract him by rubbing his head and face, and one to cut. His favorite hobby is watching birds through the screened window under the coffee table.
