Maci
I've been a visitor to your page since you started (I love the kittens at the Daily Kitten but it's nice to see pics of older cats as well). Thought I'd send along a couple of pics of mine - can't always get him to stay still long enough to take a decent picture but these came out OK. I especially like the pinup pose one. ;-) Maci is an 11-year-old, 16-pound, black smoke/white tuxedo. The black smoke parts of him get redder as he gets older so he looks almost brown now. He's my baby, which is fitting since Maci -- pronounced "Motsy" --means "baby bear" in Hungarian. Not overly fond of other people (and really not fond of other cats or people who come bearing other cats) but he is a complete cuddle bunny and suck up with me. :-D -Kitty

Good morning everyone! I just love both these pix. What a camera ham! The markings on his face especially are great! He is so handsome!
What a sweet boy and such handsome coloring. He does look like a cuddle bug.
he is beautiful i just want to squeeze hi if he lets me
Good Morning all. This guy is so big! Claire is right he does look like a big cuddle bug! He also looks like he can do some serious damage if he wanted to. He is beautiful. I would love to play with this guy.
Have a great day Fuzz Pack!!!!!
Danielle, How's Jakey getting along? How much longer will he have to be on meds? I think I already asked you that, but I can't remember.
Morning all,
Maci is gorgeous! He sure looks like a sweetie pie. And I love his name also.
Jake has 7 days left on meds. He has been fighting me like you wouldn't believe. He is drooling excessively. I called the vet and they said it was normal. He will not come to me wich is devestating. I think after the meds are done he will come back to normal.
Wow, cute kitty. And he sounds like most other cats -- only devoted to the hand that feeds them. I have a couple like that. Upon looking at all that fur on Maci, I can't help but feel sorry for you when you have to clean up all those hair balls! I have a cat like that. And meds only help some. But I'd never give her up. Afterall, we are mere humans taking care of our furry friends. Give Maci a pat for me. He looks sooooo soft!
He is very handsome, the markings on his face are really neat, he kind of reminds me of a mardi grad (I know I am spelling that wrong) mask...rub the belly for me!
Good Morning Fuzz Pack!!
KIM--Day late & a dollar short--but Happy Birthday. Sounds like you got the best present ever.
RIQUEL-- Is Loa your mother, or did I misunderstand a post(I've never done that:-/)?
I agree with everyone about never leaving without my kids. When we lived in Omaha, it seemed like we spent half the summer in the basement because of the tornados--I was constantly having to go back upstairs to get Thomas, who would be looking out the window!! Yellow cats=the biggest snoops around!!
Maci is just beautiful--I could get some real "fuzz therapy" from that lovely furry tummy!!
Kiiim! I hope all is well over there. I heard there was supposed to be severe weather and tornadoes today! Yikes! It's not like Kim to not be on!
HELLO FUZZ PACK!!! Maci is absolutely beautiful!!! His coloring is fantastic. That is an awful lot of fur!!! I think it's special the he's YOUR kitty or shall I say, your HIS human!!! Thanks for the wonderful post!
Hello all. Sorry Kat, I'm fine. I had an early doctor's appt in Fayetteville. That's about an hour and a half away. Yes, I ran through some very nasty weather. It's sunny now but it's suppose to get bad again this evening. This is suppose to be a tornado producing storm so I'll probably be watching the radar constantly! But for now, I'm back.
Hooray GS, sounds like Tobias won out!!! You have yourself a sweet little Toby! We had a white persian when I was growing up,his name was Toby. He was born in October.
Anyway, I tend to ramble sometimes!
Have a wonderful day everyone!!!
Glad everything's okay there Kim! I'm a worrier, so...
GS, he's on Clavamox for his cold. Seven more days. Luckily I can just hold him by his scruff w/his back to me and give him his meds. I give it to him before he gets his soft food, so, he is okay w/it. He looks forward to his soft food in the morning and at night before bed. I actually didn't give him any soft this morning, as he hasn't been finishing it. I'm going to wean him off it soon as I know it's not great for his teeth and he's eating his dry food just fine. Anyway! So, you & Bry agreed on Tobias?! I guess you saw where I was thinking of calling Boca that. It just didn't fit him though!
*Correction - GS, I was thinking of calling Boca, Toby...not Tobias. But, you know what I meant. You're calling him Toby for short, right?
G'day Fuzz family!
I love Maci's markings - the first pic is calendar quality (PG) and, well, the second...*AHEM*...that comment is best left for Rosie!
If I were blessed to have Maci, I would go around bragging about my black-and-white harlequin cat (I know harleqiuns are brown, orange, black striped..no? There's one in my apt courtyard who used to visit Emily when she was "in season" and yowl, when Emily could only commiserate,(sp?) like "girlfriend, I'd feel for ya but I can't reach"...Emmi's girlfriend has since had her litter, and the asst superintendant is trying to find them - the tenant who rescues ferals knows the mom cat's had the litter, but know one knows where) Maci reminds me of a Mardi Gras mask I was given once for Stage Managing a production of "Streetcar"!!
Kim, Heads Up and be careful tonight!
Blessed days to all...
What a handsome boy. Camera ham too!
Maci is BEAUTIFUL! What a lot of cat to love!!!
GS ~ I love the name Tobias. It sounds sophisticated, as if he should be stepping out for a polo match following his afternoon tea.
Special Ed is on Clavamox too. He had a urinary block and was hospitalized for 6 LONG days and is now on Clavamox for 14 days. He should be done with it tomorrow. I think you're right GS, it is the fix-all medication. I wonder if I can give it to my students? They don't make Ritalin in a room spray, so perhaps Clavamox will work. ( I am joking! )
Kim... if they are predicting severe weather in N.C. you'll need to rush to the store and buy EVERY gallon of milk and loaf of bread you can find. I know you're aware of that. We lived in N.C. for a while and it used to make me laugh to see the folks who'd load up on milk and bread beacuase it "MIGHT" rain, snow, be windy, etc.... On a more serious note, do be careful and stay tuned to the news so you'll be prepared should anything happen.
SpEd, I didn't know Special Ed had urinary blockage problems. We were all on a Jake-watch a few weeks ago for what I think was the same thing.
I'm glad he's doing better. Take your meds, all you boys!
Sped, Just a note...Kim's in Arkansas. Tornado alley, no less!! Kim I'm scared for ya! You'll be alright though!
Chocolate Chip Ice Cream FUZZ.
Oh... my bad. I read Fayetteville and automatically thought of N.C. Well, I hope I didn't offend any Tarheels. I shall pray Kim does not end up in Kansas as she would have a dog named Toto instead of a sweet, purring cat.
As I read these comments I think everyone breathed a sigh of relief when you finally posted Kim. Prayers for you during the storm tonight.
Ooops Maci got caught with his belly exposed. Why did you take my picture when I was asleep??? It looks like he is asking that question. Maci is precious and he does look like a cuddle bunny.
ahe..ahem....I looked at the pictures of BOCA.....I really don't think I need to comment except..those LT's* will be soley responsible for the total eclipse of the sun...AND the moon!...duzduzz-da-duzz.................
*lip tits.
LOL!! Rosie, we've missed you! LT's...lip tits...LOL! They are huge aren't they!?
Rosie, I hope you know that we all anxiously await your comment of the day. The LTs had me falling off my chair, laughing!
GS, I'm from New Orleans and my parents are still there. My husband is from Gulfport. Now we live in tornado alley. What is that saying, "Out of the frying pan, into the fire!" You watch for me in Kansas and I'll watch for you in the Gulf! LOL!
Thanks Fuzz Family (I like that Rose) for all your concern! You're all very sweet!
Sped, no feeling hurt here. You know, I just assume that because I know I'm in AR, that everyone knows! It's a bad habit! I think what you do is very important. My son's Special Ed teacher has made the biggest difference in his schooling. She can get him to respond when his regular teacher cannot. I so thankful that there are teachers like you, I know it must be hard at times! Yes, my son is one of the Ritalin kids. No, I'm not into the whole medication debate, with Sean,it's just part of his disability.
There she goes, ramblin' again!
..ahaal......I'm so tired!...the comment about the ice cream is mine, for some reason the'Rosie' didn't come out!?........HYAK!...anyway, I would like to bring to your attention another favourite body part of mine(!)..kitty lips!...Boca seems to have them on her boca...they are thin, black, and rubbery; like thin strips of licorice....................
DISCUSS.
ooOOOOHHHhhhh, Boca DOES have IMPRESSIVE kitty lips!!! but, uuh, what, then are L.T.'s??
My medication can dull the senses, as I know you've all been able to tell...I will confess now, it took me a better part of 3 months to decipher F.B's...
ps...Hi Rosie!
.ok.Rose(emilyrose?).I will go easy on you as I have a soft spot for you..............FB's are 'facial bosoms' which are extra puffy whisker pouches....LT's are 'lip tits' which are like FB's and beyond..like porno style FB's....and 'kitty lips' are the internal, rubbery part of the kitty's mouth; sometimes they're pink....COMPRENDE?.......schnoort..
LOL! Thanks for clearing that up Rosie. I was WONDERING what FBs were!
LOL...are we all one donut short of a dozen?! That's probably what my hubby would say! It's so great to be part of the fuzz pack!
I absolutely love Boca's lips as well as his bodacious LT's!! The cream fur around his mouth accents his kitty lips all the more! It's a shame we will probably never see how Boca's LT's develop as he grows into man...er, kittyhood!
Capische, Rosie! I am now a more enlightened fuzzmum and can study to perfect my feline anatomy (but please, no quizzes yet!!)
Another thing I've been wondering about, though...is it me, or do males have more bodacious FBs than females? (we are still in the Feline species)?? Because I was staring at Emily a while ago (may need a flat out Med Adjustment), and in my estimation, I would say her FB's were a modest "C"...
Grazi!
Rose (aka emilyrose)
Boca is, as Rosie put it so well:
Bodacious Fuzz
Rose, Hmmm...I think it's fairly equal, but my Emma I would say needs a training bra. She is flat in the FB department! Poor girl!
HAHAHA! HEE HEE HEE!! LOL! ROFL!
Stop, I can't stand this conversation anymore!!! SOOO FUNNY, I'm dying over here!!!
My baby!!! :-D
Maci doesn't seem to appreciate the honour so I'll say thanks on his and my behalf for the lovely comments.
danielle, yes, he can do some damage when he wants. The vet has to knock him out just to give him his annual exam -- he turns into Pure Evil Incarnate as soon as he can smell the clinic.
debbie, he actually doesn't cough up too many hairballs, strangely enough. Now, me on the other hand... ;-)
As for the FB/LT conversation, well, now I'm going to be looking at every cat's whisker pouches and determining whether they meet the criteria. Look what you've turned me into. LOL
