It's the Pordge! Hi big guy! I love you! He is a crazy cat. He is 22lbs, but still thinks he is a kitten. Every morning when he wakes up he goes and sits on the bathroom counter and waits for my mom to wash his face, she has to take a wet wash cloth, and wash his face and back, and if he doesn't get his bath, he has an attitude for the rest of the day. He lives with 6 other cats, who all think he is a God. He tries to act like he is big and tough, but he is just a little pussycat.

way too funny about the face washing in the morning! love cattitude!!!!

My neice, who is 9 now named him. She was going through her phase where she had a crush on her uncle (my husband) and would tell everyone that he was her honey man, well she wanted to name him Roman, after her honey man, and his name was going to be Roman Honey man. My mom told her that we couldn't use that name cause it was already taken, and to pick something eles. This was about the time that the movie George of the Jungle was out, so my neice named him "Roman Honeyman George of the Jungle" which of course was shortened to George.

Don't you mean manic Monday?

Morning all,

Hello, George! What a beautiful kitty. I love the close-up.

If our kitties need it, we'll wash their face, though they don't demand it. When we do, they are very good about it though they act like little kids sometimes. You can almost hear them saying "Ahhhh, mom".

I don't know if anyone noticed the link to junku's flickr pix. He has some excellent pix of his kitties! The link is at the top of Kat's Korner! Also, don't forget to check out the updated FFCA site!

::singing::It's just another manic Monday...ohhhhhhwahoooh.

Good afternoon all,

George is a beautiful boy, love that face. The face washing thing is adorable! Give him a kiss for me too!

I posted a story on Ella's blog about this sweet kitty I made friends with over the weekend. If you have a chance to read it, I'd like to hear what some of you think. I'm so disappointed because I thought I'd actually have the chance for my first real rescue.

OK, I've just made a vet appointment for my Kona-boy. He may be having ear problems.

In 2002, he had developed infected, dirty, waxy ears that got so bad he couldn't eat. He wanted to, he was obviously hungry, but you could tell it actually *hurt* him to try and eat. While we popped antibiotics down him and put drops and other goop in his ears, I got him by on yogurt and soft kitty treats (he refused canned food). Ultimately, both of his eardrums will have ruptured (they healed). He dropped from almost 11 pounds to less than 10. I was so worried about him.

Well, over the last few weeks, I thought he'd been eating less but I thought maybe he just wanted to eat enough to get by so he could go back outside. But yesterday, he was hardly eating anything. And when he did eat, it looked like it was hard for him. This morning, he looked at his food dish like it was an obstacle to overcome, not a meal to enjoy. I hand-fed him his kibble until he got going and then he was able to finish it.

I'm very worried he may be having ear problems again so I'm taking him in tomorrow. Maddie is coming too because it's time for her annual check-up and booster shots.

Poor Kona. I hope everything is ok with him. Hopefully it will be an easy problem to get over. If there is a problem which I hope there isn't. Let us know tomorrow how everything went. Please!

Hi Everyone,

I have a bit of catching up to do.

Kat, I can see Neko today! I clicked on him, and went over to see if I could get today's FuZZ's name, and as Neko ran over where the name should be, it popped up, how cute! He's now "sleeping" next to the post window.

George is such a character, and WAY "Too Sexy" for his OWN self!
That close-up, those boudoir eyes...and how I LOVE the story about him wanting his facial every morning! Loa, he is a real thing of beauty!

I opened an e-mail that I thought was an e-card, and it turned out to have a virus attached! UGH! After my per usual panic, I started every de-bugging thing installed on this machine, and guess what? I KILLED IT!! I wish I could bring it to Emily to show her!!

I need to go mosey around a bit to reacclimate (is there a word? brb).
well, there's acclimate, so I'll take that.

chat later...

p.s. donna-good luck with Kona-boy...poor baby...

Thanks for your thoughts for Kona everybody. The appointment isn't until 4 tomorrow but I'll post something as soon as I find out. I'm *hoping* that a quick cleaning will take care of it.

Donna,

My Alex was having trouble similar to Kona and it turned out to be his teeth. He had a gum infection. I know that doesn't cheer you up but if you look in his mouth and his gums are red instead of pink, that might be the cause too. I wish our cats could just tell us (well, maybe they try but we just don't get it). Good luck with Kona. By the way, Alex is fine now. He got an antibiotic shot and we changed his diet.

Kona, love! Donna, please let us know when you find out. I will check this site late tomorrow for word of Kona. Poor baby, give him a nuzzle for me.

GS, Toby is really coming around! What a character he is!

Rose, glad you beat the big bad virus! We had a Trojen Horse once and it was so hard to get rid of! Like you, I now have all kinds of debugging software!

Loa, Georgie is sooo tiny! He is quite the handsome man about town! And he likes for you to groom him, tell me he's not the cock of the rock! He's fantastic!

Jake is eating wet food. Except he licks it instead of actually eating. He is doing about 1 can of food and one jar of baby food. He will not eat it unless it is moisturized. He likes the kiquid a lot. He also won't eat much unless I am there. Go figure.

Hi Claire,

When this first happened, I actually suspected his teeth. And it could be his teeth this time. But he was just at the vet's this last February for a dental service. That doesn't mean it still couldn't be his teeth, though. Sigh. We'll see.

He slept next to or on my right shoulder all last night. Before we drifted off to sleep I was muttering "sweet nothings" to him, breathing on his neck and cheek. He kept purring and I even felt his paws knead ever-so-slightly (he doesn't do that very often). He then let out a big sigh and laid his head down, so I shut up and fell asleep. I love that cat so much.

Hey, how are our Houston FuZZ-packers doing? I hear that Houston got a ton of rain in a short amount of time and that there has been some flooding.

danielle said...

Donna,
Jake is the same way when it comes to kneading. I don't think he really knows how to. When he does it is so cute. He usually does it on my stomach. It does hurt at times but I don't mind because it is a treat to be kneaded by him. Spot doesn't do it at all. It is really cute.

he's very handsome. love the eyes. and he looks so soft and sweet.

DONNA how is your kona doing it is now 5.30pm in ga i hope better i love your icelandic cat photo In iceland no one has a indoor cat they gat more stry's then people Wher did u come up w/ the name KONA for your baby?

Anonymous said...

Hi Loa! His appointment isn't until tomorrow at 4 so I'm afraid you (we'll) have to wait a while to find out.

Kona is named after Kona, Hawaii. There's a major triathlon held there every year. Our Maddie, short for Madison, is named after Madison, Wisconsin where we participated in a triathlon.

Hi George, you beautiful *little* guy, you.

KAREN--I went to the web site but I got a message that that kitty is no longer listed on the web site. I hope that's good news?

Emma's Kat said...

She's still there Donna. Cairo that is. Good luck to Kona tomorrow at his appointment! He'll be in my thoughts and prayers!

Karen and Kat, you should be getting a copy of an email I just sent to a neighbor with a lot of friends in CA, where she grew up. Hopefully one of them will want, or know of someone who wants, that gorgeous cat.

If I can do anything to help, please let me know.

I'm going to check out the computer club staff in the LA area, they have published my articles in their local Magazines. Also the one in Orange County, but I am not sure where that is. I'll find 'em.

Oscar the Puppy Cat said...

Karen, Alan said that we could adopt her as a last resort. I have sent out an email to everyone, you will most likely get a copy as I sent it to almost everyone in my address book. Let me know how it goes in the search for a home for her.

Hello from Houston. Very wet around here. When this kind of weather "hits", my migraines also "hit", so I have been in bed with a horrible migraine since Saturday. Going to the doctor in the morning. How can I help with the L.A. kitties? Can I help monetarily since I live so far away? Just let me know, I would love to help.

Rose: Don't give up on me, I will try and call tomorrow. Maybe this weekend you can get your babies. I need to check on specifics.

Sorry, forgot to mention how much I love George. He is a beauty! Kisses from me to him!
