Thank you so much for keeping Grace on your site and in your prayers! She and the babies are doing fine. No "forever" homes yet, but ML, you and many others are working so hard for my "fosters", so hopefully, soon they will have their homes. The weaning is going well. They are tasting food and using the litter box now! I'm so proud of them!!

deb - i am so glad to hear momma grace and her kittens are adjusting well. since i am so far away, all i can do is pray that the right forever home is found for each special kitten and for grace. you are truly a special person to do all this for grace and her babies. there are so many people that do not understand why anyone would go the lengths you have already for a stray cat and her kittens. i am sure everyone here agrees that there isn't a single good reason to NOT help a kitty in need. i will keep praying for grace, her kittens, everyone touched by their story and especially for you in the search for their forever homes.

Thank you so much for your supportive comments! They mean a lot to me! I'm sure that some people think that I'm slightly crazy, but I don't care about that! These kitties deserve to have a good life!

Hi Mary Lynn! Just visited your site Graceandkittens.blogspot, and it's great! Although I'm wishing about $200.OO would drop in my lap,
'cause I want "a couple" of the fuzzbabies and/or momcat,I think you all are doing a great job!

Rose, where are you located? Maybe we can work something out! By the way, the kittens are now all using the "big boy/girl pottie" and tasting kitten food. Last night Pete was the first to "scarf" down some kitten wet food. I'm so PROUD!

Hi Deb!
The babies are growing up into their flying solo period?! Pete sounds like a character-and-a-half!
I'm not a huge fan of "Fall Out Boy", but the focus of attention in that band is the bassist Pete...heard he's in a the teenybopper magazines I used to read "way back in the day"...! That's one market targeting...find an outlet where there's a large female pre-pubescent girls around, play a Fall Out Boy CD and Pete will be fought over! Then, the other FuZZlings will have to be marketed as Pete's siblings!
oh you asked where I'm from...New Jersey (I don't have "the accent", so it's NOT "New JOYSIE" to me!!)
Native born, and Proud of it...

Hi all.
Deb, sorry I haven't called, was up all night with a sick poodle and hubby. Just got up!!!
Maybe we could come up with some sponsors to help with kitten traveling expenses? I could sponsor a cat's expenses to a new home (I think).
Gotta get going, missed (read that: slept through) the mornings activities, gonna play "catch up" this afternoon. Deb, will see you tomorrow if its okay.

Oh, I own their CD too, Karen! I've just grown more towards My Chemical Romance, the Used and Green Day...and I'm older than you, by 5 years "or so"!!
Breeders ship animals all the time, but United is the only one I'm sure about, because (gee, it's been 25 years already...) My Basset Hound, Baggins was shipped from his breeder in Chicago to Newark by United. There's a special pressurized part of the cargo hold that's temp controlled where pets travel in.
The staff were very gentle with him while handling the carrier. I used to work for FedEx, and they DO NOT ship live cargo, except for Lobsters and crawfish and the like. One morning, checked into the Hub Happenings overnight, and a post was put in about a crate of live crawfish having been dropped, and there were Hundreds of crayfish crawling around! I felt for the ladies who worked the sort, probably wanting to stand on a chair! I WOULD!!
Grace has an exotic look about her, looks very "egyptian" to me.
Beautiful Family!

Karen and my FuZZ Family...I'm very humbled to see so many of you offering to help with the fuzzlogistics! I'm the puursonality type that automatically thinks "that can't be ME who's being referred to! NO ONE would do something so nice...) My friend David is always telling me to "Let nice things happen for you!" I'M STARTING TO GET EXCITED!! I've already had a daydream about Grace and Fuzzbaby-yet-to-be-decided having conversations with Emily,
wondering about switching the soft foods to Iams or not, my new nickname for Grace is "Gracie" (sometimes! She is a Princess Grace!) and just imagining a babyFuzz having 2 mommas! Well, if it's in God's plan...AMEN!...If God has Houston chosen for their forever families...AMEN TO THAT< TOO!
OH YES! I love "Panic!" Did you know, they were "discovered" by the Fall Out Boys? Pete has an indie label, and they kept sending demos to the website until they finally got a meeting! I like Nicleback a lot, and I've probably heard Default and Offspring, since I keep the Alternative Rock station on the computer...I think H.I.M. are seductive, I just worry about the pentagrams and other odds and ends...David said that's part of beng a Goth band, so taken in that light I feel better! There's a recent relese by Blue October that breaks my heart - "Hate Me"...sounds very autobiographical.
Oh boy, I do "go on" don't I?! I just love so many facets of life, and I'm sooo comfortable with you all enough to bore you all to tears! lol!
Later!!!

Rose, I think that Grace's great-great-great-grandmother was Cleopatra's cat! She does look very "egyptian". I would love for Brutus & Marigold to stay together, and for Foster & Pete to stay together. Siblings make such great pets, they have such a bond! Grace is the most amazing (pun intended) cat that I have ever had the priviledge of "knowing". She is so calm, loving, cuddly, etc. Not once has she ever shown her claws, growled or done anything but appreciate all the love and attention. I do love this little family. If I didn't have five forever cats already... It has been a honor to have fostered this wonderful family. I know there are wonderful "forever" homes waiting for them. Rose, if you are serious about wanting one of the kitties, just let me know and we will figure it out. I am so thankful for everyone who has been with us through this journey!

Deb...I AM Serious! I promised myself I was going kittyshopping in May, but I never thought I'd be shopping on the Internet!! However you want the adoption to go is okay by me! And I came back to post they wouldn't want for veterinary care, since I first got Emily, I opened a special account for her and have been putting bits aside for vetbucks if needed...I DO go without to make sure Emily has what she deserves...so no worries about my ability to provide for a few new FuZZbabies...
Emily was just leaning half on the keyboard and kneading bread on my shoulder, and now she's sitting next to the monitor...wonder if that's a sign?! She never does that, as a rule... Also the word is out that I'm actively seeking a "position" - I live near Rutgers University, and competition is high, but again, God's plan and positive thinking...We shall see...!
THANK YOU for even considering me as a forever mum! I'm truly honored!
p.s. I LOVE Brutus and Marigold!
Went looking at the Flikr box again, and Brutus reminds me of a buff kitty I had named Mischa (after Baryshnikov) and Marigold is sweet enough to make my teeth hurt! Yes, no worries about where or who their forever families will be...They are Meant For Greatness!!

I'm so excited. If you truly want Brutus & Marigold, they will be yours! I'll check on travel expenses & arrangements. Want them to travel in style. I will cover the travel expenses. No problem! Just want great homes for these babies! Send me your email and I'll send you my telephone numbers! They should be ready for adoption in about two weeks. I'm so excited for them! Thank you Rose! (and all the Fuzz Packers!)

Ohmigosh, how wonderful. Oh no, I am going to miss Brutus and Marigold, they were my favorites. No, wait, Pete and Foster are my favorites. No, wait, Momma Grace...guess I am in love with them all. congratulations, Rose.
And don't forget, I will sponsor kitten(s)expenses to Fuzz Pack who truly want them. And I think Karen C mentioned something about helping out...! The bonus is, we all get to watch them grow up. And hear about them. Oh, wonderful.

The Royals and Gentleman Beau said...

Hey Deb! Just e-mailed you, and, yeah, it runs on a bit...!
THANKS for allowing me to help provide a furrever home!

Okay Fuzz Packers -- looks like Marigold & Brutus are going to have a "forever home" with Rose! I'm call her first thing in the morning! They will be traveling in style to Newark. Wish I could personally take them. I would love to meet their new Mom in person. Thank you Rose! I look forward to talking to you tomorrow!

KC and the Giggleman Kitties said...

Oh, congratulations, Rose and Emily. And congratulations to Brutus and Marigold. This is happy news. Am so very happy for all involved.

Okay, two down and three to go, Fuzz Pack...!

KC and the Giggleman Kitties said...

BTW, have we seen a picture of Emily????

The Royals and Gentleman Beau said...

ml..uuhhh, no pic of Emily worth sending over...I scanned in a kittenpic of her, but it's pretty grainy. I have sent the film to "snapfish" for processing, and checked off the disc option, so when they come back - I hope soon -I WILL send Kat some pics to choose from...I'm anxious to see how they came out, actually!
HONEST, THERE IS AN EMILY!!!!

Went to Houston Cat Hospital (our vet) to pick up more A/D food for the kittens. She had 2 more families "dumped" at her doorstep. Four babies that were left without a mommy, thank goodness they are about three months old. Spent a hour there calming kittens. Anybody in Houston, THESE KITTENS NEED HOMES. CONTACT HOUSTON CAT HOSPITAL -- 713/782-MEOW. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!

Hello to everyone! I have decided that Pete & Foster should be adopted together, since they are so strongly bonded. I won't be moving until late July and I need forever homes for them before that. So, officially, only Brutus & Marigold have forever homes. Still working on the others. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE! Get well Amber & Jake, we are praying for you both!

Anonymous said...

ATTENTION ROSE: Of course Marigold & Brutus are yours. I agree with karen c, I too have met Depression, Ansiety & Panic Attack! I think the world should be on antidepressants:)! Don't you worry, these kitties will be coming to you soon. I'm taking Marigold in to the vet tomorrow, depending on her weight, the vet will let me know if she is "good to go". So, Mommy Rose, get ready for the fuzzies!
DANIELLE: We are keeping both you and Jake in our prayers!

Oh Deb, I believe a good SSRI should be in the water supply! I love the PSI Mandi Patikin and one other cast member from "Criminal Minds" do about Depression and Bi-Polar disorder, BECAUSE, the majority of people get their "information" from news reports of the neighborhood kid that suddenly kills his neighbors' dog and drinks it's blood, then tries to "educate" the viewer with nosey neighbor accounts that the kid "Had Mental Problems" and was "Taking Meds for Mental Illnes"
THEN, these same people tune into "Criminal Minds" to see storylines about a Sociopathic Paranoid Scizoaffective Disorder of the "UnSub" being what's behind the recent rash of train shootings...*yawn*... Just going out on the road, having people beeping their Gosh Darn (ya know what I REALLY want to say!) horns at you before the light turns green...here in NJ, there's this infamous budget crisis...my theory is, if the state installed meters on all the drivers horns, which would be at their cost when they register the car, then be find for gratuitous horn honking would close the so-called gap in a weekend at the Shore! Either that, or get in the Rx like for your mandatory Cymbalta...so there!!!

Life's too funny sometimes...Pathetic, but funny...
