Bonnie Underfoot

Bonnie Underfoot is a 9-year old gray-brown tabby we've had since she was a kitten. She's the original Attack Tabby, fearlessly guarding our home from human intruders. All visitors must be sniffed, rubbed, growled at, stared at, pointedly ignored, then hissed at. Her man is her favorite person in the world; she does what he says, I do what she says. She has to be in the middle of whatever we're doing, but you don't dare touch her!

Moring Miss Bonnie! What a beautiful lady you are! I think she's smug because she knows she's gorgeous!

Hello Fuzz Family! Mom's Taxi is officially back in business! Sean takes the bus but the Preschool doesn't offer bus service, that would be where I come in! I want to take a nap but have a Dr appt in a little while. Suppose I should take a shower!

She really is a beautiful character isn't she? Its a shame though you can't touch her. I would love to pet that belly. Its all exposed and what not.

Good morning Fuzzies!

Hello efurryone!

Bonnie is so beautiful! I know she is a little intense but it only makes her more lovable!

Question: Was smug the right word to use? I meant it as her having that look of "what are you lookin' at? Yes, I know I'm beautiful!".

My Bonnie truly is a beauty. I am furry furry lucky to have her as my Catango partner. Too many Tomcats' eyes haf turned green (if they weren't already originally that color) coz I haf the amazing luck of twirling and holding close to my whiskers such a gorgeous specimen.

Good Morning Fuzz Family !!!!!!!

Bonnie is a very beautiful girl, but I am sure that she knows that already. I love it when they are sassy and fiesty, it makes u love them more if that is possible.

I also love the black toe pads. Aahw Bonnie, let me touch that tummy. Please?

Victor Tabbycat said...

Of course I'm smug - you would be, too, if you were as lovely as I am. I'm the queen of the world. Belly rubs are allowed only on my terms - you never know if I'll bite or purr.

Then there's my special furiend, Bombay. Sigh. When we Catango, I feel so young again! He's wonderful.

Thank you all for the attention and appreciation.

OK, I have been dying to ask this!!! How do you get the picture by your name? When you comment, some people have a picture of something or other, by their name. How do you do that???

Emma's Kat said...

Kim - Go to your dashboard. I'll email you. It's easier! :)

Hello Beautiful Bonnie,
You are a gorgeous Tabby.

You remind me so much of my Missy Blue Eyes. Just irrestible, inviting, fetching -- ah, but better not touch! You could draw back a bloody stump!

Victor Tabbycat said...

I bite and I'm good at bunny kicks, but, sadly, I'm clawless in front. I've nefur forgiven my woman fur that. She claims she tried efurrything she could think of and I still scratched her - a lot.

I make my warnings and threats, then back off to a safe distance. Karen C., I've got my eye on you.

My woman says I even bark, but "urf" is a purrfectly normal cat noise. And I have quite a loud meow. Let's just say I'm expressive.

danielle said...

Well the biting could be stress related.

I also want to come over, but I would be petting the tummy even through bunny kicks.

Kathleen - I use Revolution for flees in summer. It is similar to Frontline. You just put it on the skin behind her neck. It does not hurt at all. However you need a perscription from your VET for both Frontline and Revolution. I don't reccomend using the over-the-counter types. They don't work at all.

Kat me to wants to know hoe to put a pic on he ok wher i s RIQUEL HALLOOOOOOOOOOO KID U OUT ther

SORRY HOW

Emma's Kat said...

Kathleen - I use prescription Frontline or Advantage too. They have worked good for us. And no it wouldn't bother/hurt her if she has no fleas. As for Zebby, I remember when we discussed it before and Karen thought maybe they had some Turkish Van in them? They do look very similar. My Zebby boy goes up to PetsMart tomorrow...:( Cross fingers, paws and keep him in your prayers that he will find his purrfect furrever home quickly!

Fuzz family!! Terrible news on Luna!! Please go and maybe offer some comfort/support to Luna's mom! Luna got loose from her cage at the vet and ran into the forest(big forest as it seems) and they have not found her yet! Luna's humans looked for her almost all day yesterday! So sad! She will definately be in our prayers tonight!

Victor Tabbycat said...

OH NO!!! Luna's my special friend! How could that happen? *sob*

Bonnie looks so much like my Tiger but the purrsonalities are completely different. He's very mellow and doesn't bite or scratch. When he's stretched out and you rub his exposed tummy, he'll crack an eye open to see who's petting him and then go back to sleep.

Our cats don't ever go outside but Sammi, my sister's Silky Terrier, brings fleas in with her when she visits. When I see the kitties scratching, I'll comb them around the neck to check for fleas. If I DO see evidence of fleas, I'll treat them with Advantage. I pay a whole lot less when I buy it on eBay, even with the shipping costs, than if I buy it from the local pet stores. Emily, one of our cats who went over the Rainbow Bridge a long time ago, started drooling as soon as I started to apply the Advantage so it could be the smell alone that does it. She was the only cat who did this but the Advantage works very well to control a flea problem.

Hopefully Luna will be found safe, sound, and soon. Since she's a house cat and not use to fending for herself, maybe she'll find her way back to the vet or even someone close by. She's in our thoughts!

We use Frontline. Do I like it? Kind of. I don't find it takes care of the fleas as well as it should. I use it though, because it's the only one proven to take care of ticks. Our cats are mostly flea free. We just buy it at the Vet or at 1800pets.com

Bonnie and Victor, I read your comment from last night. Please tell your Momma that she is not crazy!!! I love your adventures and the things you come up with. I love reading each of your different personalities! You really come to life as individuals. If that's crazy, then count me in too!

Emma's Kat said...

Kathleen - You can go over her body, around her neck and belly and part her hair. Look for an actual flea or what is called "flea dirt". Flea dirt is actually flea poo and is black/brown and small like...sand? Sorry description...Lol! If still in doubt, talk to your vet.

Victor Tabbycat said...

Depending on where you live, Frontline and/or Advantage is sumtimes available at farm supply stores. Here it's Farm & Fleet or Fleet Farm. Emma's Kat described flea dirt quite well. We used to see it on our first cat's belly, between the hind legs where fur is shorter. Use a fine-toothed comb and look for very fine black sand. Another short-term remedy is (cover your cats' eyes) b*a*t*h. First cat was allergic to all avail flea treatments except baths, so that's what we did. Can't hurt and might help whatever it is.
Bonnie & Victor's Crazy Mom :-)
PS You can uncover the cats' eyes now!

Hi Bonnie, goodness how did you get in that plastic box. Looks like you are so snug in that thing. I had a hard time fitting in that box mom has around. Couldnt' get my tail in. It was a lot more comfortable in Amber's bed, could really stretch out in that. I'm clawless in the front too so don't feel bad. Mom was sorry also she did that but she thought her and Dad was going to stay in the motel managing and she didn't want to see me hanging from the drapes again. Boy, did I do a good job on them, and I was just a kitten then too. Anyhow Mom wanted to keep me and if she told the company I didn't have my front claws they would let her keep me.

So sorry to hear about Luna, prayers and purrs go out to her. Sure do hope they find her real soon.

Casper

BTW Kat could you also e-mail me to on how to get a picture on the comments too. Thanks.

Victor Tabbycat said...

Hey Casper, c'mere...
{whispering}
Bonnie's tail was hanging out the end of the box. She's actyoually quite comfy! The box in her profile pictor is bigger.
{end whispering}
Casper, Mom says her first cat ruined 2 sets of curtains before he reached 17 lb and couldn't climb them no more. I'm mostly good bout my claws an since I came home at 8 months, I don't climb the curtains, just the counters an my tree.

Purrs sent to Luna's mom that Luna will be found soon.

If you're not sure if you find flea dirt or just plain old regular dirt on your cat, put the dirt on a wet paper towel and rub it around. If it turns red, then you have a flea problem because flea dirt is actually flea droppings and since fleas drink blood, their droppings turn red when wet. Eww!
