Calico

This is Calico and she is 10 mos. old. She is one of Princess' babies. They all have the sweetest purrsonalities and make me laugh and smile everyday with their silly antics. Of course, they love to play and get into mischief. I love it when they carry toys around in their mouths. They are always looking for trouble, and when one gets into something, they all join in for 4x the mess! They like to rip up papers and steal things off my desk, or sometimes they take the straw right out of my iced coffee and run off. My house is very kitten proof, but they always manage to find something to get into. But that's okay, they are so worth it. ~Jessica >^..^<

Good morning! Love this pretty girl, Calico! And I love being able to pick her out of the kitten picture and see how much she's grown! She looks like she's a camera ham, posing for the camera!

How was everyone's weekend?

Calico has the face, the face that you just can't get enough of. I could stare at her for hours and hours. She is just a beautiful girl. The other little furries are also cute, good luck with them.
Kiara my little sweetheart also carries her toys around. Her favorite is her leather mouse we found at a Halmark card dealer. She will carry it and make all these crying noises as she tries to find a place to hide it. Just to cute!

Wow, just look at those eyes. She looks like a sweet cat. It must be so much fun to have all the kitties in the house.

Gail said...

Yes she is beautiful. Another one of my grand kitties. Only she won't come out of hiding so I can see her. While I am typing this Squentin is ripping up coupons. I guess he read what Jess wrote about Callie and said I do that too. Watch me.

Good Morning FuZZ Family!

Princess! Linda-Kiara is spot-on...you DO have "that Face"! I Love her white bib! Like the ladies wore turn of the 20th century! My Grandmother's wedding dress had that kind of bodice, but it had a bustle, too! Princess? A THIEF?! Nah! I bet after she chews on the straw enough to "break it in for you", she'd replace it!!! So, Jessica, you're an Iced Coffee person, too?! My 4 month old, Brutus (i.e. Prince Brutus) LOVES Iced tea AND coffee.
Trouble is, he's so wired on his own, the last thing he needs is caffeine!

Hope all our FuZZ Sisters and their families on holiday are enjoying their time away. We Miss You!

Brutus gave me a fright yesterday morning. I'm used to seeing him get the better of Marigold (i.e. Princess Marigold) in wrestling matches, but as I poured myself ice water to take my meds with, Brutus was trying on a new wrestling move...one involving biting Marigold on the back of her head, and well, in quite an UN brotherly move, "trying to get a leg over" ...ahem... Well, I pulled him off with a stern "NO! BAD!" and that little hormone driven bugger went right back at it, as if drawn by a magnet. At which point, I poured the ice water on him...THAT made him forget what he was doing! This morning, I was helping Marigold wrestle with Brutus, and I had his front end pinned, as he had his paws around my wrist, fudging rabbit kicks and ears pinned back, when Marigold went and bit him, well, bit his now well-endowed "family jewels"! Not once, but repeatedly! We ladies ganged up on him this morning! When he went running from us, Emily was waiting in the hall for him! Yes, I have to ask for a ride to the spay/neuter clinic THIS WEEK. Deb and I were talking, and that little bugger needs to be "done" ASAP. This clinic only charges $40.00 for males, and shots are included! The hitch is it's a 30 minute drive each way, and that would mean my friend would have to drive an hour round trip, twice in one day. Males are goofy when they come out of anesthesia after a neuter...I remember my last male, Tomas. The Vet tech bought him out from the back to me, and placed him on the floor for a second, and he looked like a sailor trying to keep his sea legs in a storm! Emily just slept the rest of the night, and was quiet the next.

Well, I'm off to see if Blogger is still too sleepy to act up on me this morning...I'm going go back to the original site. But before I do, I want Goggle AdSense to fix my template that they vandalized on me!

well, chat later!!

What a beautiful lady! Yes, she sounds just like Loa's cat, the "clepto!" How funny is that?! But this lady really is a pretty girl! I love her baby pic with her sibs! Both of these are great pictures, thanks so muc for sharing them!!!

Good morning fuzz family! I've missed cahtting with you and look forward to doing so when I get home.

ROSE, UH OH!!! Seems like we just talked about this very thing! Brutus needs to have his little his snip-snip right away! I love how the girls ganged up on him. Actually, I love your rendition of what happened. You're such a great story teller.

Well my friends and sisters, I must go as my kids are trying to wake the neighborhood up. I'll check in later. Love to all!

This is a beautiful kitty. She is ready for the camera at any time it seems. Her and the other babies are so cute.

That is really funny about Prince Brutus. But we can not have him violating his sister.

Good morning Fuzzies!

Jess said...

Good Mornin'!

Cali really is a sweet girl, just a little on the shy side compared to the sibs. like Gail said, whenever anyone but me is here, she just hides :(
i hope she grows out of that someday. we are moving next week so i'm wondering what they will all do in a new place. these babies haven't ever been anywhere but this house or the quick ride to the vet, so it'll be interesting to say the least.

if you enlarge the solo pic, you can see her beautiful smile and lil' brown chin. and in the recent humidity, her bib is getting very curly! it's so cute!
she's sitting on the kitchen counter (her fave look out spot to see the birdfeeder and birdbath) but i can no longer open that crank out window, because they destroyed the screen so bad trying to get bugs at nite, that i had to take it off! LOL! that's ok tho.

okay, time to get that iced coffee!LOL!!! and we have a housecall with the vet later today to get our health certificates to move out of state! i need to tidy up a bit or he will think i'm a crazy cat lady! LOL

have a great day everyone and thank you for the kind comments about my baby girl.

JESS- your Cali is a lovely girl! What fun having all of them! For your move, Good old Feliway might help. Now if they would just make a good, nonperscription version for us poor humans!

Good Morning Fuzz Sisters! I hope everyone(except ML) is well. ML, take your meds, eat something, have a big drink and GO BACK TO BED!

ROSE, sounds like a good idea to get Brutus "snipped" as soon as possible, else you will have a teen mother on your hands.

They've all been spayed and neutered here too :)

thanks for the tip on Feliway. i've been looking into some herbal drops too just not sure if they will work. going to ask the vet in a bit when he comes over (first time for a house call for us!)

i wish you could see Cali's tail in the pix...it's so huge and fluffy.

I LOVE EXTREME FLUFF! Calico, you're ADORABLE! Plus, I'd LOVE to have that pile of fluffy kittens on my lap - heaven!! Calico reminds me of two other cat bloggers I love - Cleo and Angie. Just beautiful!

By the way...check out House of the (Mostly) Black Cats - Hot(M)BC. They have links up for cat stuff for sale, including shirts and sweatshirts with pictures of the "squillions" (Wall Green Shelter Kitties). They're a MUST HAVE.

For all those concerned, check out the Human Society website, where you can e-mail the Chinese ambassador regarding the massacre of dogs. In addition, they provide phone numbers to call the ambassador in D.C.

caspersmom said...

Calico you are such a pretty girl. The look you have on your face in the single pic is like you are asking "Mom what are you doing?" As she takes your picture.

ML hope you are feeling a lot better today.

Loved the story about Brutus. When Cleo started humming and making real nice to Casper I knew it was time to get her fixed. Hope you are able to get Brutus fixed real soon.

What a beautiful girl Calico is. And what a beautiful litter she is from.

Talked to Deb a bit earlier, she is going to use someone's computer later tonight to catch up. Miss her.

We were talking about the Squillion's tee shirts, which we have already ordered.

I want a tee shirt of Casper with the evil laugh. Wouldn't that be cute? And one of Karen C's cat talking about putting the bitey on something. Just too cute.

Deb had some good ideas, too, not going to share them here, right now.

Karen C, if you can fax Deb those papers, she will get them finished and submitted.

I am feeling much better today, still hoarse, but haven't slept all day.

KC has been asleep in the new kitty tree -- check out photos on Missy & KC's blog -- and Missy has been sleeping beside me!!!!!!!

I got an email from Kat with Rosie and Cairo, both of those are GORGEOUS cats, great photos. Love the tails.

Karen C. said...

I talked to Deb about faxing the papers while I was driving, so I couldn't take down the fax number. She was going to e-mail it to me, but I didn't get an e-mail and I forgot to harrass her about it. Ooops! Too much going on recently - DEB...I NEED A FAX NUMBER...

Kathleen said...

Tails, that is the one thing they have in common!
Okay, I'm sure Cairo could find the Missy and KC blog, but I can't.
Help!

Karen C. said...

ML - I'll try to get more pictures of Cocoa "puttin' the bitey on stuff". Have you ever seen the book on Pyschokitty's blog? It's called "Something Of Yours Will Meet A Toothy Death". I must have a copy. Of course, Cocoa will put the bitey on that too. The other day he put the bitey on my ring and wouldn't let go. I had to pry his little jaws apart. He was purring the whole time, so I couldn't scold him...

Karen C. said...

or see the links.

ML (Mary Lynn) said...

Deb will be checking in later, you know this is the first place, she'll get you that fax. Checked, I don't have it either.

Isn't it amazing what cats get away with simply because they purr.

Meowmepurr's Mumma in Washington State said...

KAREN--you're driving!! Did you fix the hunk o' junk or did you get something else?? (I only said that about the car because I KNOW it can't hear me).

In honor of the Great Mother Trip, I got mine washed-and waxed, mats & windows cleaned, cat hair vacuumed out--the Works! Of course it will have Meepsie prints all over it before I leave tomorrow, but at least it won't be hairy!

Karen C. said...

While I was waiting for the tow truck to come get my old (dead) car, my neighbor pulled up in a car with $$$ on the window. He sells used cars, though I never knew it. To make a long, boring story shorter, but still as boring...I bought that car from him. Actually, my mother bought it, as I have no savings and no (good) credit. Now I have to pay my mother back as quickly as possible as she's not even working at the moment.

Grr, Midnight & Cocoa said...

effurrybuddy come to our bloggie an guess which pic-shure is which one of us. it's not that hard, is it?

momsbusy said...

karen, make sure you give your mom a super big hug! that was really nice of her to do that.

the pics of cairo and rosie are precious. cairo may need a super dose of feliway. hmmm, i heard those pet psychics are good w/ troubled pets. that lady on animal planet talks to pets all of the time. do you think she's for real????

calico, your eyes are beautiful. they are the most deep amber color i have ever seen. and that pose is absolutely adorable. you must have had modeling lessons. you were a cute baby who has grown up into a very pretty lady. just don't get caught stealin stuff. the law don't care how pretty you are.

Kathleen said...

Where can I get feliway?
A kitty couch with a counselor for Cairo? Yeah, I don't know about the animal talker although she does seem to get results.

Karen C. said...

Kathleen - I just sent you a link for Feliway. Also, they sold it to Norma (for Jade) at the vet.

More great news, everyone. Remember the Humana versus Medicare problem? Deb gave me some numbers to call. One of them referred us to the BBB for the city Humana is located in, said to try them first, if we didn't hear something in one week, they would arbitrate.

Humana released Charley on 7/31, quite a few months after his 3/4 cancellation date, but he is on Medicare FINALLY. Yea! We haven't gotten the letter yet, but Medicare has.

ML (Mary Lynn) said...

Hi Bogart,
I've got to check out your site. My poodle, Bear, lives with two cats.

A lot of us here have woofies, too.

Glad to have you join us...

caspersmom said...

Yes, Bogart I'm a woofie too, and I also live with four cats. One of them called Patches is always trying to love me up but I ignore the whole lot of them.

ML - Great news!

Bogart - So glad you visited us here at Kat's Cat! I visited your site and left you a message. I forgot to tell you though, that I have a woofie named Sammie and she lives w/3 kitties which you can see at Emma's site!
