Victor Tabbycat

Victor Tabbycat adopted me last October at an adoption fair in PetSmart. I wanted a cat I could cuddle, but thought Bonnie would be too dangerous for a kitten. Victor was 8 months old, big enough to stand up to Bonnie but young enough for kittenish fun. This white cat with tabby spots literally grabbed me from his cage, looked me in the eyes and said, "You're the one!" As I stated my concerns about Bonnie, Victor purred himself to sleep in my arms. Now 16 months old, he's as big as Bonnie but her opposite in so many ways. Victor's a snuggly lap kitty; Bonnie's a "no touchy" cat.Victor meows softly and infrequently; Bonnie's very vocal.Bonnie bites; Victor licks.Bonnie growls and hisses and makes a fuss over nothing.Victor hissed at a dog once and is almost unflappable.Victor wants to be Bonnie's friend; Bonnie'd prefer if Victor disappeared. -Jennifer L.

*Don't forget to check out Seventh Heaven and Cat Happy under my special links! They are in need of furrever homes! And stop by Grr, Midnight and Cocoa's, as there is a kitty in need there too!*

Good morning! Sweet Victor, who we've all come to know and love! Victor, you are such a handsome kitty and full of character as we can tell from your pictures and great site! Which, btw, for those of you who haven't visited is under my links section. His fuzz sister Bonnie is there too and Bonnie, don't worry you are on my list too and will be posted before long!

How is everyone?

Karen - That is so great that the scared girl posted on Grr and company's site will be going to a foster! Is that right?

Deb & ML - Saw the 7th Heaven blog on the news anchor(?)'s blog too!! Just awesome!

Okay, going to do my quick rounds and post on Emma's site. Later!

Good Morning Fuzz Family!!!!

Victor you are a very handsome kitty. Yet I think you already knew that. You are a very smart kitty to pick the mommy that you did.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day.

Victor TabbyCat is adorable and I love the yawning picture.

I have some potentially exciting news to share with my fellow Fuzzy family. My birthday is this Sunday and my daugther Holly called me this morning and told me that on her suggestion to my husband he asked her to arrange for him to adopted little Charlotte, the black cat at one of our local PetSmart's who allows the Cat Connection to show their rescue cats. I've loved
Charlotte since I first saw her and she is so sweet and gentle I'm sure she will fit in nicely with Emma and Alex. I know I'm gushing but she is so sweet and when I was there over the weekend, the woman cleaning the cage told me that she gives Charlotte extra time out of the cage because Charlotte seems to shrink so from being returned to it after cleaning. I finally got to pet her and rub her tummy on Sunday and hated to leave, had tears in my eyes. My daughter took the bull by the horns and told her dad that I would love adding Charlotte to our family and he agreed. Can't wait for this dear girl to be with us. The BEST Birthday!

Your so welcome Victor! I'm glad I could share your cute self on Kat's Cat! And VTLT...Well, let me start w/a question. Do you ever visit The Daily Kitten? Rosie, who visits here too, we met thru TDK(the daily kitten) and she started the whole FB and LT thing. FB stands for facial Bosom or whisker pouches. Also referred to, I've heard, as muzzlepuff. Some kitties are overly endowed in the FB department and then their FB's are referred to as LTs or lip tits. It has to be discussed w/Rosie to label a kitty as having LTs! So, VTLT, stands for Victor Tabbycat's Lip Tits. Got it? ;)

Hi Victor. It's nice to finally get to see all of you! I've only seen the pic of you in the basket. You are a real handsome boy. Easy to see why your mom chose you.

Congrats Claire on your new addition. That is good news and a wonderful birthday present.

Hi Victor Tabbycat. Looks like you are going to pounce on something there laying on the stairs. Love you and Bonnie dropping by on Casper's site. I try to make the rounds on all the sites but my computer is so slow and I do have to get some things done during the day. Thank you all who do come visit Casper. Hey Victor maybe you and Cleo can get together sometime for a duo.

Claire so happy about the new kitty. Charlotte sounds like she will be happy to get into your household.

Well, Charlotte is all black, just like Emma and Alex although her fur is just a little longer. She is between 1 and 2 years old. Emma and Alex are littermates and were just 3 years old. (I do have pictures of them for you, Kat, just have to send them via email to work and forward to you but of course, we'll also send Charlotte's too). Anyway, the worker there told me she was very shy and wouldn't let anyone touch her but I went into the room and spoke to her and she came over to me, rubbed against my leg and rolled over so I could pet her tummy-it was love!!!! So when she comes home, it will be confinement until I get both Emma and Alex used to her smell on bedding and vice versa-slow intro usually works best but she will get lots of attention and love.

Hello Victor! I love you (and Bonnie) and I visit your site every day. I usually let Grr, Midnight and Cocoa leave a comment for you, but I'm always there too. You're absolutely adorable and you really know how to play!

Claire - What a wonderful present! You're going to have 3 all black kitties too? You could let them join the House Panthers - mine just did.

Deb FFG (Fuzz Fairy Godmother) strikes again! She e-mailed till she found Norma, conveniently located in West Hollywood, to foster the scared fluffy girl from the shelter. I'm bailing her out of kitty jail tonight and taking her to Norma, who I just had a long phone conversation with. She's a very sweet lady who loves animals and will provide the perfect home for the poor kitty to adjust, until she's ready for adoption (unless by that time Norma can't bear to part with her). I hope all the Houston kitties find homes right away too - YAY DEB!

Soooooo... Being VTLT is good? Mom finks I just haf a longer snout than Bonnie. My furiend Kismet finks all Whiskonsin cats have LT and it's cuz we eats cheeze alla time. But the cheeze part's not true an I'm not sure bout the LT part.

I'm so relieved to see Junior Man's head is attached...we do look kinda alike.

Okay - who's closest to the middle of Tennessee? Samantha from yesterday's TDK post #13 has posted on ML's rescue site for the 7 kittens in Houston. She's been feeding a homeless mama cat with a kitten who are living on the streets. Tennessee anyone?

*** ML (Mary Lynn) *******
*** Phones, DSL Out ******

Hey, guys, we had a bit of lightning out west Houston way, our phones and therefore internet is totally down. Do not know when it will be back up.

Houston Cat Hospital had just emailed detailed info about kitties, will update as soon as I can. Am posting from a neighbors computer.

Also, per Karen C above, she did post from Middle TN about the homeless Momma and Baby Cats. If someone could please email her back and let her know we got her message.

Thanks, will get back when I can. Deb had called my house just as the phone went dead. (Aha, it's Deb's fault, not the storm. Ha-ha)

Samantha doesn't have an e-mail link on her profile, which it looks like she just set up. She said she was going to e-mail you the info. I'd contact her if I could, but...

Kat, with all our new members, it's time to start letting people know about the FFGT!!! We have two years and so we need to keep letting the new memmers know! I nominate you for the job! Actually, Fuzz Family, you need to get the word out on your blogs too!!! OK, I know, I need to update the site. There is only so much I can do from this far out though. BUT, I do need to get in touch with Big Cedar and see if I can get pricing. I'm going out of town for a week so I'll do it when I get back. For now everyone, let members know about what's going on. ALSO, everyone know that you can comment and let me know your ideas. Also, still sign up so I can get an idea of how many rooms we're going to need.

If you're fairly new to the Pack, check out Kat's link for The Fuzz Family Get Together of 2008!

OH MY GOODNESS WHERE TO START?

Victor, I just love your sweet face and your name! You picked a great "bean" for your own!

Three cheers for Lisa Foronda from our local KHOU television station for putting the Seventh Heaven kitties on her bog site -- which gets about 1,000 "hits" per day!!

Yippee for Karen C. She does it again. Green eyes (aka "JADE") is on her way with Karen C. to her new mommy in Hollywood!

Congrats Claire on the newest addition to your family -- we want to see pictures! Happy Birthday!

About SAMANTHA IN TENNESSEE: I managed to track her down and talked to her. She is going to rescue the kittens, but we need someone in the area to foster or adopt them. ALERT!!

ML: SORRY I BROKE YOUR ELECTRICITY AND STUFF -- :(

Everyone:

Thanks so much for the love showed to momma cat & little torti baby. They are safe at a foster home, but still need a furrever home.

I am sending pics to Deb via email as soon as I can coax momma cat to pose...she's a little bit skittish & is hiding. :-) (Torti-baby on the other hand is not a bit camera shy) :-D

Bless you all for the effort you put forth in rescuing/loving cats. There has to be a reward for this somewhere... :-)

The Taylor CatSSSSS said...

Samantha: I sent out an email to several groups. I'll send out another when I get the pictures!

Thank you for caring enough to rescue this Mommy and her baby!

Hi everyone!

I'm playing catch up again on all the blogs. I had a busy weekend and didn't get any internet time. My internet connection is down at work until Thursday. (We moved to new office space--so I've spent the better part of two days moving boxes and furniture in the heat!) Last night I got home late, took a shower and went to bed.

Victor you are very handsome. I do check your blog from time to time, although I don't post. (Too many blogs to post everywhere--I can't keep up!)

Yesterday's cat, Goober, is also handsome. Such a remarkable tail.

Okay everyone! Recent news from Karen C:

Great news! I were able to meet Norma, animal lover and long time rescuer. Norma offered to foster the beautiful shelter kitty we've named Jade (because of her eyes). I think it was just in time, because Jade has been too scared at the shelter to eat and has lost so much weight you can feel every bone. Norma is an artist who works from home (and does beautiful paintings), and is a lovely person. Jade now has a quiet loving home with a patient woman who's willing to help her adjust. Unfortunately, Jade's reactions indicate that she was probably abused, so the adjusting may take some time. Please pray that this sweet kitty can get healthy again and learn to trust.

SO: KAT, YOU CAN TAKE THIS ONE LITTLE BEAUTY OFF YOUR BLOGSITE -- DONE DEAL. THANK YOU SO MUCH KAREN C: OFFICIAL ANGEL OF THE KITTIES!
