Xing Lu (we are told it means "fortunate jade") is about 1.5 years old, we think. On his way to the City leaf & grass dump, Tom found a soft-side cooler left by the side of a road. He stopped and picked it up, saw that it was in pristine condition, and with visions of cool soda on while fishing, but intent on his destination, just put it into the back of the truck without looking. He was aware that there was something in the bag, but she is a very delicate-bodied kitty, and didn't say anything when picked up. When he got home, he unzipped it, and out popped a fluffy little head with jade-green eyes. "Mew?" He scooped her out, and she promptly cuddled into his arms, hiding her head in his armpit. She LOATHES the boycats, and will only tolerate them while she is sitting on me. Feliway does NOTHING for her. She does, however, actively solicit attention from the dogs, sleeking against their legs and accepting licks. She also will jump into the lap of never-before-seen humans, both male & female, and graciously accept chin rubs and ruff sleeking. Who jettisoned her in such a cruel way and why, we'll never know, but we rest in the knowledge that their karma'll get 'em!! And we are the richer for it. Online, she's shy, but will hobnob with other ladycats. -Cheryl P.
