Casey

Casey is five years old. We adopted her when she was approximately a year old from a kind lady who rescued her from the side of a highway during a winter snowstorm. She was thin and starved and her rescuer originally thought she was just picking up a dead corpse to dispose of. Imagine her shock and surprise when "the corpse" sprung to life and jumped into her car!!She wasn't shy but she was not affectionate with us for the first few months after we adopted her. She had apparently been abandoned by her previous owners, and she probably felt that the rescuer abandoned her too. We are guessing she was abused in the past by some rough looking guy in a black leather bomber jacket, given her extremely panicked reaction when she sees such a guy. She used to be a man-hater at first, but she learned that not all men were bad.Despite an apparently dark past, Casey was always gentle, sometimes wanted to be carried and liked kids a lot.Over time, she learned that we loved her, would never even think of abandoning her, that she had the freedom to display the full siamese catitude. From Donny and Marie, she has finally learned to play like a kitten! We are very proud of her, both for the beautiful soul that she has always kept within her and for the progress she's made to be more like herself. ~Sophia

I sure can't understand why anyone would abandoned a beautiful cat like Casey. But yet if they hadn't she wouldn't have had a great forever home like she has now. So very thankful that she is playful and gets along so much better now. Casey you have had a rougn start but everything is great now surrounded by much love.
