This is Smudge. Last year, several cats about six months old suddenly turned up in our neighborhood. They all seemed to know each other. We suspect that they were all dumped by the same person. Three have been taken into neighborhood homes, one was killed by a car, and two, including Smudge, are still fending for themselves. I have almost gotten Smudge tame enough for me to be able to get him into a carrier so I can take him to the veterinary hospital where I work. We will neuter and vaccinate him, deworm him, and attend to any flea and ear mite issues he may have and any dental problems, then put him up for adoption. We usually have one or two cats for adoption at the clinic at all times. We have found new homes for 26 cats in the past four years. Smudge is a big sweetie, not to mention handsome, so I'm sure he'll get a loving new home. -Kay in Oregon

smudge is handsome with his smudge spot. i love it! thank God that there are caring people like you (& your coworkers) helping homeless kitties. boos and hisses to the bad person who dropped them off.

Smudge is a credit to his gender in the feline world, and I agree with ML that he shouldn't take long in seducing someone into providing a fur-ever home! If Brutus wouldn't get his knickers in a knot, I'd consider it! Brutus is so posessive, though... ;}
Smudge reminds me of my sainted dad, actually...my da had a bit of a smudge for a moustache!
